Since we have a new forum for MC, I figure I'll jump in and ask the inevitable question - is there a time table set up for the next installment of MC, and any hints as to what it will be about? I've been lurking over at RJK's messageboards and talk seems to have died off over there about MC. Are there still more installments on the way?
Thanks,
Greg

Cold Steel, you might consider checking out Rob's new low-level adventure "Dark Chateau" which is tied to the Castle Zagyg series being published by Troll Lord Games: with some minor tweaking, I'm sure you could easily adapt the adventure to fit the Maures as the chateau's builders rather than Zagyg.

Please , less dungeons , more epic , more characters , and better 1 big fight than 1000 small ones.....
See ya
While I tend to agree with you (except for the Epic part but thats just POV) I think in this case we should just leave the designer to do his thing. Sure its a Dungeon - but so far its proven to be an exceptionally well designed one - if Dungeon is going to start reducing the number of Dungeons appearing in the Mag I don't suggest this be one of the ones cut.
Not that I think Erik is about to let this feature go if he can do anything about - issue #114 sold completely out after all.

Rob is currently at work on the next installment of Maure Castle, which we are still hoping to publish this summer. He has been very busy with the Castle Zagyg project, but he's hoping to get a new level to me very shortly.
Maure Castle levels are some of our favorite adventures, so you can be sure that the Dungeon staff is thrilled to publish them in perpetuity.
Although I'm personally very proud of what we accomplished with the relaunch in issue #114 and later the Age of Worms Adventure Path, "Maure Castle" represents the moment in my career on the magazine where I truly realized that we could really start pushing the boundaries with the magazine, and I haven't looked back since.

Rob Kuntz announces the Greater Halls for Dungeon 136 and that the long term goal is to have a Maure hardcover in a few years.
Huzzah! Now I will stop scouring ebay so hard looking for 112. I have plenty of other material to go on until we will be even close to ready for that adventure anyhow. Heck, I haven't even cracked open the SCAP hardcover yet.

"The Greater Halls" is actually going to be appearing in issue #139. It looks pretty awesome, by the by...
What date are we expecting the Maure Castle overload to be on the website?
sorry, the horse has long gone to the glue factory but I can't resist making another bad joke from it..

Looking forward to it. I know some of the cuddly DM's on these boards that like to coddle their players and probably get warm/fuzzy feelings when they give out their "Monte Hall" style treasure don't appreciate these devilish adventures, I love 'em.

Heh. Coddling? To have been coddled in a Lake Geneva DnD game circa 1973 onward would have meant being squeezed to death by an owl bear! (or by something less fantastic, like a sliding wall section) :)
To each his own, though.
In between my other writing projects i am certainly taking a more keen interest in doing more levels for MC on a yearly basis as well as being more available online to answer questions and chat. That I have gone to writing full-time actually helps in this regard. ;)
