Is there a black hole in the submissions room at Paizo?

Oh, I'm dying here. My first (and still outstanding) queries are from October.

I got my first rejection, I got first rejection, I got my first rejection! (Well 4 actually) So that makes me "One of you" now right?

Now I gotta go and set the monkeys to typing again.

Welcome to the club. You know about the initiation fee, right? You can send me the money - I'll make sure all the paperwork gets taken care of. :smirks:

The orcish double axe is falling on those proposals from November now. Two up and two down in my lineup. They still have about 4-5 to catch up to me...and I might have 1-2 more in this next week.

grrrrrrrrrrr.

Contributor

Got me some "proposals under consideration" messages today from the honorable Mr. Sutter. Great darn work sir! It is so good to get a preliminary message on props...gets me all excited for the upcoming submission selection meeting. Woo Hoo!

Contributor

For those keeping track anxiously...

The last of the proposals received messages was from Nov. 26th.

Watch out December, Mr. Sutter is heading yo' way!

Just checked back and I have two proposals sent in on Dec 1st. Crosses fingers.

Still waiting on some proposals under consideration of my own. To even share the same anxiousness that somebody like Nicholas is feeling is just pure gold ;)

Ok. A proposal I sent in Dec 1st got the axe...so, the ed's are getting into the swing of things again. This time was not the new form letter, I was asked to resend part of the proposal as a Critical Threat. YAY! Now I'm off to form 1250 words into a cohesive picture. G'nite.

Congratulations Nomad! Can't wait to see it.

Hey Phil! Don't you have something out from Necromancer Games right now? What's the title? I will pick it up this Saturday at my FLGS...could go for a good read and awesome adventure...and if it's from you, I'll bet it's both. :)

Awesome! Congrats to you, sir. :)

So we're all dying to know...

Did another sub meeting happen this week? We're like crack addicts, just give us another hit! :-)

Contributor

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay, but we've been trying to get the magazine shipped out this week - as a result, very little has been done with the slush pile, and the submissions meeting was trumped by a bunch of AP3 planning sessions. Could be another couple of weeks until you hear something, though we're going to push for a meeting as soon as possible.
On the plus side, the tardy map supplements for recent issues should be hitting the web in about a week, and there's a new Dungeon Styles Guide up under the link at www.paizo.com/dungeon.
Hang in there!

While maps you can cut out and clip to the inside of your dm screen are great, I hope you only omitted the AoW conversion notes in your post and not the supplement itself. :)

Don't say it, or I will be dissappointed in "about a week" again... LOL ;)

But the stars are not right yet! How can it be?!

Hold it right there guys! I think you have this thread confused with the AOW/Online Supplements Whining Thread. That's a completely other thread; this here is the Submission's Writer's Whining Thread. This thread is dedicated to whiners who can wait stoicly for (in some cases) years to hear back on the subjects nearest and dearest to them. So take your girlie-man 3 months or less whining elsewhere. You are dishonoring the waiting skills of all those brave men and women for write proposals, wait six-months, write frantic emails requesting info, and then recieve an email back saying the submission was lost in a black hole and that they will need to resubmit and wait another few months to hear back.

For shame,
G3

Thanks for the compliment Nicholas. I'm not sure if I can mention non-paizo/WotC products on the messageboards, but since I can't find any regulations pertaining to such matters I guess it's OK. My module is called "The Diamond Fortress" and is published through Necromancer Games and Kenzer. Its my first publication outside paizo (though others are on the way) and its got some mistakes (including a few editorial doozies), but I think its pretty good for a first effort.

Hopefully, I haven't just peeved off the powers that be! If there is some rule that I have just broken, I did look but couldn't find anything.

Somehow I don't think it's a problem, since they will most-likely be carrying it in the Paizo online store. Maybe you can post some errata for it here (or a link to where it can be found).

Congrats,
GGG

Congratulations! I just checked out the Paizo store and they sell it, for $10.79...sounds like a cool adventure!

Can't wait to read it!

On another note: Got me some rejections and one resubmit dated Dec. 1st, so James is back at the slush pile everybody! Damn he is awesome! :-)

1 rejection and 1 resubmit for me - my first of both, and I'm pretty darn pleased with myself, dated December 1st. 5 more proposals on the drawing board. Onwards and upwards! :-)

Uh-oh. I have a proposal I sent in at the end of October, and I haven't heard squat yet.

James - Are you working on ALL proposals or just ones sent in via email? (Mine was sent by snail mail...cripes, I hope I didn't send it to DUNGEON's old address.) :x

Something weird happened in the wee hours of the morning. Yikes! Anyway, congrats Sad Genius and Nick! And to Phil L as well...it looks like Greg Vaughn has something coming out thru Necromancer too...Assuming its the same Greg from these parts.

Yeah! I can't wait to read Greg's book...the teaser on the necromancer website sounds awesome, and he always delivers the goods...looking forward to "Kings of the Rift" too. Can't believe I have to suffer through that "Library of Last Resort" adventure first...who is this Micolas Rogue dufus anyways? Hope his adventure doesn't totally suck. ;-)

Watch out, Paizo! 6 manuscripts coming your way this week courtesy of the Werecabbage Group and the Spinecastle boyz!

I can verify that it is the same Greg Vaughan of Dungeon fame who has a trilogy coming out for Necromancer games. I got to participate in the playtest for the first one. My half-ogre barbarian got real tired of having weapons destroyed (stupid tar dragon).

Oh, I believe he may have something in the works for WotC, too, but don't know much beyond that.

You know it is possible I wrote that considering that you never see me and Drunken_Nomad together at the same time. Hmmm that brings all sorts of fraud possibilities to this thread. What if none of these posts are real? What if there is only one collaborative member of the Were-cabbage crew? I mean have you ever actually met any of them? What if Wil Wheaton and ASEO were one in the same? What if Farewell2Kings is secretly Jimmy Hoffa, and the Wereplatypus is Jan Michael Vincent or perhaps (OhMyGod) J-Lo! BV210 might be Greg V's brother for all we know. Has anyone ever seen a picture of James Sutter? Sure he says he's a 6'6" cleft-chinned, blond fireman, but does anyone know for sure? And what about Greg V and Richard P? What if they where in fact the same person hyping the hell out of himself by having a public rivalry?

It just boggles the mind,
Aaron Spelling

LOL! It's working! This is how we will take over the Renton compound. Now, GGG, cast mass confusion and I'll summon Hannibal's elephantine army and throw in a Bigby's Interposing Fist to smash down the walls! Onward, once more into the breach?

At this time, email submissions take priority over snail mail, if only because they're far easier for us to deal with. We'll definitely get around to the hard copies as soon as we can, but you're always better off sending us electronic versions of things. Thanks!

Even better! Cast tree stride a couple dozen times and help with the attack! You can run in and hit them with a couple of mirror images sending them into more confusion with all the 'Sutter clone' avatars and then we will run amok, looting and pillaging!

Okay, GGG, you are right, you didn't really say that, it was drunken nomad. I got confused trying to consolidate several quotes into my post. Plus Greg was bugging me (yes he is my brother, my little brother, my little brother who likes to push my buttons, my little brother who's a much better writer than me....but I digress). Plus, you two look so much alike. Yeah that's it.

Now, Greg and Richard are in fact two separate people. However both are megalomaniacal overlord wannabe wordsmiths (see I have a word-a-day calendar, too) bent on conquering the world (although one has a decidedly British accent....and I'm not sure what kind of accent Richard has, I think perhaps Bolivian) and molding it into their twisted version of Greyhawk (albeit, in their mind the Flan are a pastry people - go figure).

It's me that has the proud, distinct, and I must say rather splendid, British accent old boy. Although I have been to Bolivia (which reiterates my belief that you are both mind-flayers that are stalking me) I didn't pick up much of the lingo apart from variations on the word 'freezing'. To my mind Greg seems to be a frustrated Austin Powers as he continually uses words like 'groovy' in his emails. The man is obviously a frustrated brit, although we are not the same person and would balk at anyone who shamelessly publicised themsleves (with say, a public duel of some sort) as that would be terribly vulgar.

Hoorah!
