I love knowing the references, but this one is lost on me. What is it referencing/homaging?

It's a scene from My Neighbor Totoro. :)

Me too! It went a little something like this.

This... is awesome!

My kids LOVE studio Ghibli movies. Totoro is their favorite. If my wife or I say 'Hey, you in there, your house is haunted!' our son will respond with 'KANTA!'

Good times. They are too young for Princess Mononoke though. The premise of Pom Poko (weird as he**) would make for a decent Pathfinder Game though.

That cover is the best thing. Like... the best thing. Period.

When the mongol General asks Conan what is best in life, Conan will answer: "De cova of de Passfinder Origins Comic for Harsk!"

Also I completely forgot that Harsk has a badger companion. He rarely comes up in any of the artwork, really. And in at leasdt the first two arcs of the comic books.
