An Antimagic Sourcebook for Pathfinder!

The mage getting you down? Feeling insecure about your role in the party ever since your wizard got 5th level spells? Well, we've got a book for that! Little Red Goblin Games has put together a book with classes, enchantments, feats, and new options for characters to combat magic users in their game. This book works great for high magic game where those who don't have access to spells might feel threatened by those who do!

Included:

  • Mage Hunter (Base Class): A paladin alternate that focuses on hunting down and destroying magic users and creatures who rely on their innate magical abilities. Many are trained by wizard's towers to hunt wayward students or by magic hating deities. Either way, they see this way of life as a job and treat it with professionalism.
  • Spellweaver (Prestige Class): An arcane scientist who weaves metamagics effortlessly and has become a powerful counter-mage!
  • Arcane Luddite (Prestige Class): Fear, hate, ignorance and perhaps jealousy combine to make this thundering mage-hating brute. Though special training these martial characters learn to ward off magical powers, interrupt casting, and even rebound spells with their weapons!
  • Neat Feats: Feats focus on class support for classes appearing in this book but can also be used to augment existing characters.
  • New Class Options: Mage hunting class options for antipaladins, rangers, and rogues.

Culture Yourself!
This book introduces “cultures”, race and setting neutral background options for your characters and NPCs! Compatible with both Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition this book explores 6 cultures!

Culture Overview
The Immortal Houses: Immortals produce lots of offspring and generally get fairly rich. Their scions are organized into complex and political hereditary houses where the eldest child of an immortal becomes as important as a king!

Coffin Culture: Forced long ago to take refuge in a necropolis, a culture that accepts and embraces death has spread across the world. Carrying decorative coffins on their backs and performing funerary rites, they embrace what we most fear!

The Godslayers: Rise up and kill your gods! After being “betrayed” by a deity an ancient and diverse empire slew their own deity and now are cursed by their actions!

The City: A multidimensional city that links physical locations via portals! It’s the ultimate melting pot where creatures from many dimensions work together for financial prosperity. They have an “enforced motorcity” where mandatory testing selects government officials.

The Beautocracy: An artistic paradise where the beautiful rule! Fashion trend dictates politics and if you don’t keep relevant socially, you are as good as dead. “The Uglies” have formed a rebellion to take the upper class down but they are just as bad as those who rule!

The Silent Haven: A secret support network for sociopaths seeking to better themselves. They silently work behind the scenes to do what others can’t.

Pathfinder and 5e Compatible
Pathfinder: A culture trait replaces your trait or a 1st level feat.

Take Pathfinder in a New Direction!

This book contains two different kind of mini-games you can play using content from the Pathfinder Core Rulebook. We wanted to explore what other kinds of games were possible in a fantasy world, things beyond just delving dungeons and slaying dragons. This book is (hopefully) the first in a series of short systems that allow you to convert your Pathfinder game into something totally different. In our first entry we include “Fantasy Grand Prix”, a sort of racing game that allows you to play something akin to fantasy Mario Kart, ancient chariot races, or the Palio di Siena (a famous, violent, horse race in Italy) in a fantasy setting. The second is an in depth system for obstacle course and like you might see on Ninja Warrior, Ultimate Beastmaster, or any number of other shows. They ape that style, twisting it to fit a more fantasy context; allowing you to compete in things like the fantasy equivalent of Highland Games, Olympics (particularly a decathlon), events similar to “Ninja Warrior” or “Ultimate Beastmaster”, and even extreme sporting events. Yes, now you can accurately recreate all the torment of the Barkley Marathons with dwarves. Aren’t you excited?

The book uses Pathfinder as it’s base and presents new, more focused, rules for these minigames. Generally, these rules should not be used for an entire game but for segments where they occur or for extended games where they are the main focus.

When someone thinks of fantasy, certain genre-defining races come to the front of the mind. Surprisingly throughout the years, the basic attributes of these races have remained the same despite sweeping changes to the worlds around them. It begs the question “What makes these races what they are?” Just being born an elf doesn’t mean they’ll be an archer or mage, despite both archetypes being explored in detail over the years. We took examples from real world cultures and analyzed the different archetypes these races fill, what makes them perceived as they are and what makes them stand out in the minds of fans across the globe. Within are suggestions on how to create a culture in your game that enhances your races and world, with mechanical reinforcement to help bring them to life. With specialized classes from some of our favorite fiction, reimaginings of races into new archetypal roles and a boatload of racial feats from the excellent Christos “+5 Toaster” Gurd, you’ll be hard pressed to think of the peoples that make up your setting of choice in the same way ever again.

New Prestige Classes

  • Magelord [Elf]: Part politician, part specialist mage with the unique "arcane cascade" mechanic.
  • Bladesinger [Elf]: Part magus, part arcane archer, part bard- all elven grace.
  • Emissary [Human]: A human who adopts elements of another race/faction in order to gain bonuses against their enemies.
  • Battlesmith [Dwarf]: He crafts, he fights, and he drinks (hopefully in that order). This presents unique options for crafting with materials (advanced alloys and the like).
  • Grudge Seeker [Dwarf]: When you think your wife holds a grudge, you've never meet a pissed off dwarf.
  • Alpha [Werewolf]: A feral, raging, pack leader who grants his allies rage bonuses.
  • Skysinger [Werewolf]: She sings for the sun and she sings for the moon, but when it's all done she's got your heart... and forces you to shift forms.

New Base Class

  • Underhero [Halfling]: A fun little base class designed to be the "underdog". Not optimized for damage dealing but posed for those Tolkien fans who want to play the clever little hobbit.

Race Mechanics Rewrites & Re-Imaginings

  • Grippli [Reimagining] [Mechanics Rewrite]: Let’s face it, you ALWAYS wanted to play a blustering, adventurous, ripped, heroic, crazy little frog person.
  • High Dwarves (“Gustavin”) [Racial Subgroup]: Who wants to live in a smelly little cave when there are so many High Gothic castles for sale?
  • Sahmeii [Subgroup]: Part merfolk, part human, all OGL.
  • Wild Elves (“Elva’stana”) [Subgroup]: They are not so much the "let's sing in the forest without harps" kind of elves and more of the "let’s wrestle that T-Rex before it eats us" kind of elves.
  • Centaur (“Mek Centid”) [Mechanics Rewrite]: Centaurs re-balanced as a player race.
  • Ghost Elves ["Nef’liem"]: Soulless outcast elves who sought to avoid punishment by sleeping for 300 years.

New Racial Feats For:

  • Dhampir
  • Fetchlings
  • Gillmen
  • Gnolls
  • Kitsune
  • Lizardfolk
  • Merfolk
  • Nagaji
  • Samsaran
  • Strix

A Centaur With The Body of a Human and the Lower Half of... Well Another Human

"Sneaking through the tall grass you happen to spy a ruggedly handsome man, perhaps a bit too tall as his torso is clearly visible above the stalks of grass, with wild black hair and a feral beauty about him. As you draw closer, letting your presence be known you are greeted by another set of hands, far too low for a man. When you get a full view of him you realized it a creature comprised of 50% human and... well, another 50% human. Oddly, though these numbers add up to 100% human, it falls short (or perhaps is in excess...) of what the term “human” normally implies."

Yes, we are gloriously releasing the "mantuar". A mantaur is what happens if you shove the torso of a man on the headless body of a woman or vice versa. The androgynous mantuar are a racial offshoot of humanity with some unique racial traits.

The book's short, cheap, and has 2 magnificent piece of artwork by Rui Ferreira and we hope you enjoy it

    Make Prestige Classes MEAN Something!
Early in Pathfinder we are introduced to the concept of “prestige classes”, classes we need to qualify for in order to enter. These are seen as goals and many people work towards them. Unfortunately, not all prestige classes dovetail nicely with base classes and they were largely supplanted by archetypes, hybrids, and alternate classes. A prestige class should be a reward and, while they should not be inherently stronger than a base class, should at least be on par with them and offer some interesting roleplaying opportunities.

    Prestige Classes:
-Afflicted: Lycanthropes rejoice! You can tame your inner beast and use it to fight worse things that go bump in the night!
-Bereaved: Grief got you by the heart? Living only for that SINGLE purpose? A bereaved dedicates everything to their single-minded goal!
-Dragon Scout: A 0th level prestige class with 5 levels that prepares you for life as an adventurer! Earn merit badges and advance all the way up to wyrm scout!
-Polymath: You are ALL about the skills- learning and mastering many areas of expertise that others couldn't even come close to touching!
-Returned: Had a near death experience? Turn that into an opportunity by exploring the thin line between life and death!
-Tainted Mage: Use spell-plagues and other diseases in your magic by turning all your spells into "tainted" spells that inflict others with nasty diseases!
-Thousandfold: Religious warriors who seek personal godhood. They believe in "holy action" and grow many spiritual arms to achieve many things at once!

    Also Included:
-Retooled Prestige Class System: Helps keep prestige classes as a viable option by adding certain reworkings of the system. Includes ways to modify existing prestige classes easily.
-"Groundworks": Feats that let you use levels in prestige classes as levels in other classes for the purpose of a specific class feature or character aspect. This allows for endless combinations and greater customization for characters with prestige classes!
-7 Premade NPCs!: Great as players or as enemies! One for each prestige class in this book (including the 20th level "Hundred Hands of Heaven"!)

Personified Spells that Can "Highlander" Each Other!

"Stray Spells" are a race of spells that, through magical mishap, have been given life. Imagine what the hot-headed humanoid personification of a fireball spell would look like or a “holier than thou” bless spell! To add to that stray spells can “transcribe” an other stray spell (or powerful spellcaster) that they have beaten to absorb their energy (or even their spell!).

This book also talks about spell beasts- bestial stray spells of immense power that go on killer rampages attempting to transcribe anyone they come across!

Finally, this book also has the Stray King racial class for stray spells! This d10, Full BAB, class focuses on transcribing enemies to gain their spells, modifying their own form with metamagic feats, and enhancing their own innate chosen spell! Fearless and dominating, they are feared by stray spells the world over and often rule them!

    Included:
    Stray spell racial guide
    Spell beasts (plus template!)
Stay King racial class for stray spells
2 example stray spells and an example spell beast
Stray spell related campaign ideas and adventure hooks

Turning Magic Scars into Magic Power
The wonders of magical medicine never cease, but however well healers learn to put us back together, the magical arts will always find more grievous ways to cause wounds. Unfortunate accidents result in what are called "wizard wounds"; terrible wounds that can never fully be healed or treated thanks to lingering magical interference. These so-called "wizard wounds" (or "wiz-wounds") come with a small boon though: they grant the user the innate ability to replicate the spell that scarred them if they survive.

    Included:

    • Simple rules for using wizard wounds in your Pathfinder 1st Edition, Pathfinder 2nd Edition, Starfinder, or 5th Edition.
    • Various ways to implement wizard wounds into your game! (Everything from unrestricted use to make your players a little stronger to a count-down to your demise!)
