The dwarves, elves, gnomes, halfings, and orcs of Golarion have all had their time—now it's time for the race of men in Pathfinder Player Companion: Humans of Golarion

Empires whose names have fallen under the dusty shround of history are in this book: Azlant, the Jistka Imperium, Shory, the Tekritanin League, Thassilon. They made their mark with puzzling ruins, unmatched magical discoveries, the unearthing of the Starstone and the rise of the Isle of Kortos, home of the city of Absalom.

From the eastward spread of the Azlanti fleeing the destruction of their home during the catastrophe known as Earthfall, the northern spread of the Mwangi, the southern travels of the Kellid and Ulfen, and the westward sojourns of the Tian and Vudrani, humans have spread to every possible corner of the Inner Sea and beyond. Each human ethnicity is covered, detailing the regions that they dwell in, sample names, general appearance and their history. Every ethnicity has at least two new traits included, as well as an index to traits in other Player Companions!

As the patron of human culture, the god Aroden's guidance to the fledgling human empires was undeniable. He pushed humans to invent and innovate, to record knowledge and preserve history so that later generations would not forget all that had come before. His death, much like his ascension, changed the Inner Sea forever. For those few who still follow the deceased god, his tenets are outlined here, as well as his relationships with other races and their deities.

With Adventurer's Armory, we introduced a lot of new weapons, but in this book, we tie them back to the various ethnicities. Mwangi, Taldan, and Vudrani fighters are all very different in their weapon preferences, and this list of weapons will help you customize your character even more than before!

For those magically inclined, fear not—you are not left out! Five new spells are ready for both arcane and divine casters, including the summon totem creature for your Shoanti summoner! (Bards will definitely want to check out cultural adaptation, commonly found in Taldan holdings!)

That cover. No ridiculous armor or weapons. Or bizarre floating magic runes. Or video-game proportions. Just mano versus (giant) mano in clash of grit and steel. So...sword and sorcery. *swoon*

Yup. Just downloaded it and I echo the great cover comment.

Who would have known the store blog writer was a Human League fan?

Is there anything in the book on minor human ethnicities, like the Caldaru, Lergeni, skraelings, etc.?

Now I have that song stuck in my head...

The last one was 'School's out for summer' too, so there's a trend forming.

I carry on a proud tradition of eclectic musical references for store blog titles. :D

I was just wondering who to blame for that (or is there more than one of you...?)

A quick search of the PDF version of this book seems to indicate that none of those three are mentioned.

Generally I come up with the blog titles (well, recently at any rate), but sometimes I'm stumped and Jeff Alvarez comes up with one--this one is Jeff's fault. :D

new day is dawning........

oh great and its only thursday.....

since this is the humans of golarion, I wonder if any of the alzanti went to that arcanasomething continent

I hope this book is good... I found the gnomes and orcs to be lacking

nada seen the goblins yet....

moving on

I'm only human, flesh and blood.....

Now if that song DOES NOT get out of my head, I'm going to go to Paizo and open the great big book of wrastling and recite to them from the book of Austin, preferably chapter 3 verse 16......

I've fond memories of the Springsteen streak this winter.
