First!
(At least I think I am).
Well... turns out I had to stop my high-level Monday night game (no longer have Monday evenings free, regularly) and Carrion Crown sounds and looks so AWESOME... I may try and revisit GM-ing 2 separate Pathfinder games (I'm currently GM-ing Kingmaker every Sunday).
I really liked the Player's Guide... but that thing will be a nightmare to print (pun intended) what with all the black background and the almost entire front cover in black. Ugh!

... given that our second-ever Pathfinder adventure, "The Skinsaw Murders," played with the horror theme to high praise from GMs and players everywhere
Really? ... "to high praise from GMs and players everywhere"
This the adventure with the TPK Machine?

Your spoiler may be a killing machine, but I think that is what made that adventure so cool. It felt like a real accomplishment to win.
But what I was mainly thinking about in the blog post was the whole haunted house aspect that the beginning of the adventure has.

I loved the adventure. My players were having a blast too right up until:
Which in turn alerted the aforementioned TPK machine, which was waiting for the PCs when their cleric used a spell to open the wall up so they could escape after the Scarecrow scored two crits killing both of the party tanks.
So Xanesha waited, invisible to kill the ragged survivors as they ran out.
Of course, this was after the Skinsaw Man managed to surprise one party member and sneak attacked him to death in one round, and killed another one, which is why the PCs even came to Magnimar in the first place.
Its sounds rough, but we all had a blast with it.

As the GM for that adventure, I reserve the right to disagree. :(

Is the blog-title another Springsteen-reference?
Yep. Vic has been on a bit of a Springsteen kick, adding in some obscure live tracks to our iPod recently, so on the way to work, I am always hearing at least one Springsteen song. So the Boss has been on the brain a lot lately, and when it comes to writing blog titles, I take my inspiration where I can get it.

Absolutely! I bet there are parts of adventures that I HATED running that you probably had a blast with. That is why we are all individuals, with our own strengths and weaknesses. Personally, I had an absolute blast with that encounter, even though I stressed about running it for weeks. It was nip and tuck and a night to remember in my gaming room. I know that other folks besides you would disagree with me, but that is cool. :)

Really =) I GMed, and it was a memorable session.

I GM'ed skinsaw murders not long ago (we're on Sins of the Saviours right now) and I'd be one of those who praise it. It is probably one of the most fun modules I've GMed so far in my career. Possibly only beaten by "Carrion Hill" also by Richard Pett.
I'm also playing in a slower going Curse of the Crimson Throne game, and I'm really looking forward to "Escape from Old Korvosa" which we're starting next session :)
Mr. Pett has found his way into my heart :D
