Ever since the little snippet about him in Guide to the River Kingdoms, I've wanted to learn more about Irovetti of Pitax. (Now in seems I'm going to get my wish). If the man on the cover is indeed Irovetti he seems much more menacing that I would have thought. (Is that a glaive that he's holding with such (seeming) ease?)
I'll be starting a group of 4-6 players in Kingmaker next Sunday (the 11th) and I hope they make it to the end (but especially) part 5, because if a "knock-down, drag-out fight" between the PCs and King Irovetti is gonna happen, I'd like to see how their current character roster handles him.
Oh, and what's this... I'm first to start a discussion, wow! :)

It is Irovetti. There is a discussion going on in this thread on his strange change in appearence since the River Kingdoms Guide.

I can't wait to get my hands on the pdf (the email said sometimes this week) to have a look at the mass combat rules.
I hope it's not too lite a system so that the players can still have an impact strategically (as leaders of an army) and tactically (as heroes). I'm still looking for a system that meshes Napoleon- and Aragorn-style play :)
