<p>In the Greyhawk campaign that I DM on Tuesday nights, one of the things I hate the most is trying to figure out the area of effect for spells. Whether it is <i>cone of cold</i> or <i>entangle</i> or any of a host of other spells with areas of effect, it always stops the game cold while we sit and meticulously figure out the area of effect on the battlemat. My two rules lawyers, Jeremy Walker and Skaff Elias, are quite painstaking when it comes to drawing out the area affected by the spell.</p>
<p>But no longer! We finally got in a shipment of Steel Sqwire metal spell templates, and all is now right with the world! No longer will I have to wait while the areas are drawn on the battle map. Now I can just plop down the template and move onward. It beats the heck out of cardboard templates because it doesn't require you to move miniatures...just drop the template around the affected squares and you are on to the next part of the battle. I just picked up a set myself and you can find yours <a href="http://paizo.com/store/byCompany/s/steelSqwire">here</a>. So don't waste a moment—get wired!</p>
