What's everyone hoping to play with a circus theme?
I have four players wanting to play a wizard, a ranger and two rogues (acrobat and escape artist sister duo).
Genuinely hoping the hooks are strong because one or two of my players seem immensely more committed to the circus part than the adventuring part.
I can tell you as the author of Book 4 that I play in several groups that would feel the same way, and that definitely influenced my writing!

Genuine relief! Thanks! I am really hoping to side step the issue of them trying to work out why a clown would dungeon crawl instead of working on their act, therefore holding the game up while I try to justify why not just call the guards in to solve the issue.

Your clown will have to dungeon crawl at some point! Think of this like other AP systems we've done, like the rebellion subsystem in Hell's Rebels or the kingdom building rules in Kingmaker. You can get deep into those systems all you want, but you've got some serious threats to handle in an adventurer-like capacity as well.

With the blog being deleted what was the feat left out?
The feat can be found here. It doesn't make much sense outside the rules set forth in the Life in the Circus article in Pathfinder #151: The Show Must Go On.

Definitely on illusion/evocation. Not sure on MC yet depends on the rest of the groups plans. (other option is some sort of Lizardfolk fire dancer but don't have that fleshed out yet.)

Oh I know they will eventually have to slap some beasts around with their chosen custard pie of choice (I actually don't know what weapon they're going with). It's that awkward situation of said player/s not being self aware enough to go into the dungeon even if the excuse isn't landing too well. That's why I'm hoping on good hooks, so they will get into the dungeon rather than holding the game up because the excuse doesn't convince their character.

Wow yes. Yes, I have heard this argument put to my PCs before both from angry GMs and other players, but, in this case, it might actually be literal.
Well okay then. It’s nice to hear this literal, rather than demeaning or pleading, sense.
