Since my group and i are stuck playing in virtual mode, i decided to get this set for my campaign and i'm very happy!
You have a lot of corridors (with elevations too) for variety, multiple room options, water sections, a bit of lava, various mushrooms, everything you need for an underground adventure!
The only negative point on this product, are the corridors: between five to seven feet large (sometimes ten feet...), so between one and a half squares, it might be tight for some groups to fight into...
All the flip-tiles published so far have been fantastic, and the Darklands Starter Set is no exception. It is amazing. Although the previewed tiles only show corridors and tunnels, this set includes all kinds of underground tiles, including (naturally) various cavern and ledge tiles. I suggest buying two copies right off the bat, although you can easily create any sort of Darklands environment with tiles from one copy alone. I highly recommend this set and rate it 5/5.
Looks great, and agree with what others have previously said. Although, it would be nice to get a set of cave tiles too! Perhaps combined with mines for some variety?
Please do a "Darklands buildings" expansion with hollowed out stalagmites buildings with balconies and stone bridges, that can be used as Drow, Duergar, Urdefhan or Munavri fortresses.
I have bought every Flip-Tiles product so far (three starters & six expansions), but i'll buy three each of the Darklands products (i am gamemastering a drow campaign atm)!

I agree. Darklands buildings shouldn't just be little, square surface buildings built underground. They should be unique and made to take advantage of the natural terrain forms. More like nodes and tumors growing out of floors, walls and ceilings than brick and stone cubes.

Narrow and wide tunnels; dry caverns and wet cavers; ecosystems - fungus forests but also goop pools and guano pastures; maybe later river junctions and lava junctions; please don't go nuts with too many crystals.
These are the best map products ever! They can really change up PFS play where you visit the same Village Square, Haunted House, etc. over and over again. I hope to see lots more of these!
I wholeheartedly agree with Krull; these flip-tiles are fantastic, and Darklands Starter Set is no exception. It is amazing. I purchased two copies of this set and I was blown away how easily you can create any kind of large cavern + adjacent ledges and tunnels. Actually you could do that with one copy alone, and with two I can create a huge swath of the Darklands in almost any shape and form. Stephen and Jason, you guys stalagm… er, rock! :)
