I'll be taking my 5th level of bard. And I'm seriously considering going arcane archer. But that won't be for a few levels yet. But in the meanwhile, I have decided to switch to a shortbow. I wish I could buy the +1 shortbow in the town, but I'm 800 gold short of that. And I don't want to bankrupt myself.

So in the meanwhile, I'll just buy a masterwork shortbow for now. I'll hold onto my +1 crossbow in case we run into anything that has magic DR. I haven't seen any notes on whether or not a light crossbow would fit in an Efficient Quiver--I know the item specifies bows, but wizards have been stuffing those things with wands and rods for years and no one bats an eye. And it's a small crossbow anyways, so I'm just gonna make a call and say it's okay.

If anyone thinks that's a little too munchkiny though, I'm happy to hear the argument against.

Not much else changes for my character. I will be grabbing Invisibility as my new 2nd level spell.

...I just realized I should have been doing 2d8 dmg with Rowl, not 1d12. Medium weapon dmg 1d10 scales to large weapon dmg 2d8. Crap. Well, he mostly just shot mirror images, anyway. :P

I'll also want to sell the MW thieves' tools we got from the bugbears.

Collapsible crossbow seems perfectly legitimate to me, especially because A Wizard Did It.

Oh, Serolt did you have the wand of identify marked as sold? I meant to claim that.

Edit: Oh, and Serolt, be sure to add the extra CLW wand to your gear. You're the only other potential healer besides me.

And it turns out that with the additional gold I was able to afford the +1 shortbow on my own. So, Serolt, don't worry about the wand of identify. I'd rather have the weapon.

It's not much, but you can add Mruf's extra MW thieves' tools to the sold pile for a few extra coins.

Sorry for being incommunicado for so long. And thanks for bearing with me. I'll have time to put up the map tonight so we can keep going. September has been an aggressively weird month for me.


Serolt, I just realized that I don't actually now Regin's gender. I wanted to assume male, but I wasn't sure.

Well, I survived. I'm back at work. And at home I currently have neither water nor power, but considering everything else going on in Puerto Rico, I'm feeling lucky. My two air conditioners are probably damaged--I won't know for sure until electricity comes back, which could be a couple weeks or more. But aside from that we didn't get any flooding to our home or any major property loss. Like I said, we were very lucky.

I'll be getting back into my games slowly for the time being.
