Couldn't the artwork for the "Sunrise Maiden" (for example) being comissioned for a "bigger starship" flip-mat?

Unfortunately, I doubt that will be the map they use. I could be wrong, of course. They usually don't recreate maps from the APs, but they're doing the Sunrise Maiden in a future map.
However, Chris normally posts to indicate that the product description has been updated with new images to reflect the actual cover, so I think that's still just a placeholder.

It is, as usual, very attractive. Maybe someday I might be able to find a use for it. Probably not. The temporary mock-up image had me very excited, that was an image that I could see being used pretty much every time the party entered a space station.
