This is one of my favorite ankheg miniatures. I like that it has a nice bulkier body like a beetle rather than a thin frame like an ant. It has a nice clean paint job.

Doesn´t look like the Bestiary art, but actually more impressive.

GOOD:
This mini is actually better looking than the Ankheg art from the Bestiary, as it is based on the (huge) Ankhrav from the
"Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Belkzen, Hold of the Orc Hordes".
The sculpt is good, as is the pose.
Most of the paintjob is too.

BAD:
The red eyes are only two dots and the white teeth seem too clean.

UGLY:
Edit: The fact that this mini is only connected to the base by a small translucent pole seems to be a bad idea - two out of my Ankhegs now have broken off (one was when i opened it, the other recently).
This is especially the case if you put the mini back inide its protective plastic wrapping and pull it out again - which i always do very carefully.
I had to knock off a star for this.
