4/5

It's a shark. It's great.

No one will doubt it's a Shark

3/5

A nice, well painted large shark. The gaping mouth distorts the head size a bit more than I'd prefer. There are plenty of appropriately sized seacreature toys which could be mounted on flight stands for equal effect, but this is a quite decent choice, without the extra work.

One of the best in the set.

5/5

These are beauties for such a simple miniatures. They are very nicely sculpted and are in a nice attack pose. I'm really surprised I like a shark miniature so much.

Great mini

4/5

The only things keeping me from giving the shark 5 stars are quibbles, both related to the stand. Otherwise, it is a well-shaped, well-coloured miniature; my favourite of this set. I was using a rubber eraser as a shark prior to this. :)

First, the stand elevates the shark with regard to its base (and, thus, other minis). This is a harmless complaint related to verisimilitude. I'd like a shark to be low-slung. Second, I have had poor experience with minis so attached to their bases, especially when they aren't well-balanced (the shark is slung forward by weight). It's a broad enough base that it should only become an issue if the stand snaps or separates from the shark (unlike something as potentially tippy as a medium or small mini).

Otherwise: a beautiful piece, especially since there aren't a lot of other aquatic minis out there.
