Key monsters and NPCs from the Shattered Star Adventure Path come alive on your tabletop with the Shattered Star Pawn Collection, featuring more than 100 creature pawns for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game or any tabletop fantasy RPG! Printed on sturdy cardstock, each pawn presents a beautiful full-color image of a monster or NPC from the Shattered Star campaign, including giants, constructs, ancient undead, Lovecraftian horrors, and dozens of unique NPCs also suitable for representing player characters. Designed for use with the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary Box, each cardstock pawn slots into a size-appropriate plastic base from that collection—making them easy to mix with traditional metal or plastic miniatures—and supplements the Bestiary Box’s creatures, together providing pawns for nearly every Shattered Star encounter. With tons of distinct creature images, the Shattered Star Pawn Collection brings to life the enemies and allies from all six adventures of the Shattered Star Adventure Path.
Note: This product does not include bases. It is intended for use with the bases found in the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary Box.

The Shattered Star Adventure Path Pawn Collection continues the grand tradition of beautiful full color pawns to help you run your Shattered Star campaign. If you're not running the Shattered Star AP, this is still an excellent set of pawns to pick up - especially if you ever consider running an adventure in Kaer Maga as it comes with duskwardens, a troll augur and more!
The art is gorgeous, the card stock is strong and the selection is magnificent. They're pawns. If you love pawns, you'll love this set. See the full list on Paizo.com to see exactly what you're getting.
Short Version: If you're running Shattered Star and use a grid, I'd suggest picking these up.
One of my players picked this up and it's proven very nice. The pawns look good and are sturdy enough for repeated use.
I do have two caveats:
1) The pawns are restricted by what art is in the AP. If the enemy doesn't have a full-body image (or full-body art in another book) it doesn't seem to appear. This can cause some gaps.
2) You should get enough pawns for each encounter when combined with the appropriate Bestiary boxes. However, if you end up combining encounters, you can easily run short on pawns.
All in all, I'm still very glad we picked them up, but it's not a pure no-brainer.
I realy like this set. It has everything what you for the Shattered Star Adventure Path, IF you also have the Bestiary 2 box. And that is wat the product says: "It is intended for use with the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary Box."
So I do not see any problems.
I am already writing some extra adventrers with some of the NPC's, because I like them really much.
Even though some of the creatures are missing from the set, it includes all the NPC's from the Adventure Path and that to me is more important in the long run. Considering the Bestiary box sets will have the so called missing creatures from the set I am ok with them not being here. I would hate to have the redundancy for when I buy the Bestiary box sets.
Not knowing which ones are missing from the set is not to difficult to figure out... as I plan things kind of ahead of time it will not be hard to just look the creatures up and see which ones are not in the set and which ones are in the bestiary box sets. Do not need a list of what is NOT in them.
As far as the images being cut off.. I know they do not make the art work specifically for these pawns.. so I can live with that as it is rather minor in my opinion. I have the creature with the art I wanted to represent the encounter.. this is what matters :)
So not to rehash an old thread that I've posted on several times, but seeing as I'm about to take the leap tonight, I need to know. Why is the pdf of this one priced higher than the other adventure paths?

The PDF price is dictated on the print price—since the price of this product line increased, so did the PDF price.
Which other pawn sets do I need to combine with this to run Shattered Star? In the description it says "Bestiary Box", but someone in the reviews section said "Bestiary 2". Can someone clarify? Any other sets needed besides those?
