From the ashes of Thassilon, an ancient power rises!
The friends, fiends, and foes of the Pathfinder Adventure Path: Shattered Star invade your gaming table with Pathfinder Battles: Shattered Star, the brand new Pathfinder Battles prepainted miniatures set from Paizo Publishing and WizKids Games!
The sculpt is nice but it is way too big. It dwarfs all other trolls. It should be on a Huge-sized base if WizKids wanted it to be this size. Otherwise its size probably could have been halved and still fit a Large-sized base better.
This troll is a remarkable sculpt. The detail is remarkable and the menace it radiates is palpable. The paint job is very good, although the tusks on the lower jaw are unpainted where they meet the jaw (across all 5 I pulled). Why 3 stars? I give it a small deduction for the unpainted sections, but the real issue is scale - it is too big. It towers over the giants we have to date and dwarfs almost every other large. If it was scaled down it would be a perfect troll. I realize it is a champion but it's use is limited on the table in the absence of non-champions to pad out an encounter.
This miniature is far too disproportionate to the base it is on. On the table it simply takes up volume for a large miniature, it's bigger than most giants by a significant margin, and larger than a fair portion of huges. As such the two of these that I own, which I otherwise think are wonderfully sculpted and painted miniatures sit in my spares box never to be used. I feel like this has become an ongoing issue with Wizkids line constantly over sized large based minis eg. all the "Large" Elementals.
The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I'll just rebase these guys myself at some point.
This troll is so big I swear it could easily be put onto a Huge size base (3x3) and it would look like a good fit. PCs will have a heck of a time killing this guy since they can only hit his feet! Very nicely sculpted and makes for a nice boss encounter.
Troll's in general are, so yes they are :)
Troll champion itself is not. As it is modified for more hit dice and encounter level in the adventure path of Shattered Star.

While I suspect that Deanoth has answered the question you were asking, just in case you were actually asking if the *artwork* that inspired it is in the Bestiary, it's not; it's based on the troll depicted on the cover of Song of the Serpent.
This thing is MASSIVE, almost to the point of being too big for a Large creature. Standing it next to the Huge-sized Mountain Troll mini produced by WotC, this Troll Champion is less than 1/4 inch shorter. It is twice the height of the previous Pathfinder troll miniature.

Maybe find a happy medium? Holy crap.
Erik has said that they have a mid range Troll planned for a future set.
I would gladly trade away my Troll Champion. There are other figures I would rather have. Not that it is a "bad" figure, rather it just does not fit into how I like to think of my trolls.
PastorBen,
There are typically no stats per se for the figurine that are released for Pathfinder Battles. This is not like the Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures that had stat cards with them. But I found a good set of stat blocks on the PFSRD you might use for this mini with Pathfinder :)
