Any idea when in April this is going to available?
I was going to order some other Map Packs, and I'd like to include this one in the order, rather than ordering it seperately...
They're shipping from the printer as we speak, so we expect to have them next week.
You can order at any time, though—when you check out, you're given the option to have us ship everything as it becomes available or hold it all until we have everything to send in one package.

Hello all.
I just need to say that something is missing from the map sets.
I just need a set that features a / reason why
dry creek bed / survivalist "roads to town"
Stand of trees with shrubery/ wood elf scouts attack
slope of a grassy hill / outside a "halfling village"
sandy area with clumps of grass / "shore landings" or "quicksand"
Muddy field/ "plowed farmland" "wild surge- rock to mud spell"
collosal dragon foot print/ "why the heck not?" and "here lies 'bob the flat'"
Statue garden/ "medusa lair" "noble estate" "sanctified graveyard"
so when is the "underdark passages", "underdark hazards", and
"underdark chambers" coming out?
could someone please, produce maps for "forge of furry"
it is a real monster to do with all my tile sets!

I bought this at my FLGS in the Twin Cities (The Source, if you guys at Paizo track that sorta thing - they had all your stuff prominantly displayed), and I love it - except, tonight, I noticed that my two tiles to make up the Mushroom Glade are identical. Should they be? Or should they be two halves of a page-sized whole, like all the other campsites?

You should have 18 different tiles, including two different halves of that one.
If that's not what you have, please drop a note to customer.service@paizo.com, and we'll fix you up.

I noticed that my two tiles to make up the Mushroom Glade are identical. Should they be? Or should they be two halves of a page-sized whole, like all the other campsites?
I have the same thing. If you rotate one 180 degrees it lines up just fine so I didn't worry about it. Now I'm curious though, are they supposed to be really different?

Hmm. I just checked an office copy, and it's got the same problem. The art files definitely have two slightly different tiles, though. We'll look into it.

Just bought this set along with module D1. I really didnt know what to expect with this set, as it is the first i have ever bought. while the idea of having different sets is what you are doing, one thing that can go a long way to helping Gm's make a decision about the product is to make each "environment specific".
that may be too much detail, but say for example i pick up Map pack : Campsites, you expect campsites, areas where pcs randomly turn up to sleep. but you have no idea that one will be a ruined farmhouse while another is a glowing crystal glade in the underdark, and yet another is in the desert.
personally for my own campaign setting, probably only 1/3 of the tiles will be used in my own adventures, mainly due to the envirnoment in which it is set (lush temperate aboveground). with a little forewarning, such as map packs - temperate/lush campsites, desert or underground campsites ( even just a reference in the blurb) would make these sets easier to choose from.
but on the whole i'd have to say that the other map packs are liekly more "genre specific" such as the city maps or cave systems. I'm not a salesperson, i probably know less about sales than anyone, but i do know what I like.

We do say in the product description (and on the back of the pack) that locations include:
- Mountain Cave
- Wooded Glen
- Snow Fort
- Pavilion Tent
- Swamp Island
- Desert Oasis
- Abandoned Barn
- Ruined Outpost
- Mushroom Glade
...but we do intend to add more images to the website and to future products to help you get a better sense of exactly what you're gettting.

If Paizo Publishing is open to suggestions for additional map pack elements, I would like to mention a few that I would love to see:
Docks and piers, with a dockside warehouse filled with barrels and crates, small boats and barges, a ferry, and a ship. Amusing details might include a pillory, a customs office, and fishmongers' stalls.
Rooftops detailed with chimneys, various roofing materials (some in poor repair), and gabled windows. Some roofs could include rickety walkways or planks over alleys, bird coops, and rooftop platforms for magical rituals. If the roofs matched some of the buildings that were featured in other packs, they could be used as the next level of a multi-level fight!
Geomorphic forest elements that could be assembled in different combinations, with a game trail leading across a streambed, fallen trees, patches of scrub undergrowth, moss-encrusted statues, and ancient, gnarled tree trunks.
A riverside shrine modeled on Ancient Egyptian floorplans, with a similarly-styled river barge, priest's quarters, a courtyard with a central well, and a villa modeled on Roman floorplans.

Yes... they *should* have been different, but somehow the printer ended up printing two of one card and none of another. Since they line up, it's not really a problem, but it's not what we had in mind.

I know that displaying a large picture would mean people would just download the picture and print it, but is there any way to see a -small- picture of what each map tile looks like before I buy them? I'm interested in all of them, to be honest, but without knowing vaguely what they look like I'm hesitant to buy. >:)

Sigh. I've been wanting that to happen for a while, but the art staff hasn't had the time to dig through their archives for the files. We've been keeping them busy with new product.

Drawing interesting maps is a weakness of mine that really kills me when planning 4e encounters and I'm always looking for help. These seem like they might be able to help, but maybe not exactly what i'm looking for.

Map Packs present a series of independent locations, so the tiles only connect up when a single location is spread across multiple cards. In those cases, arrows on the cards show you how they line up.

What was in Paizo's mind when they made these?
The goal is to provide a bunch of attractive locations that GMs can quickly drop into play. Perhaps you planned for your PCs to begin a dungeon delve tonight, but they surprise you by instead stopping off at a local tavern for a quick bar fight. You could spend a few minutes sketching out the site on your battle mat, or you could reach for Map Pack: Tavern, and have a more attractive and more detailed tavern ready to go in seconds.

I have most of them, but I definitely use this one the most. When the group is looking for a campsite, these are nice. you can plop one down and run any night encounters without drawing up something spur of the moment, you will use only once.
