Plaguestone Chronicle Question (Spoilers)

A question came up on the OPO Discord, so I thought I would replicate it here with the hopes of getting clarification.

The body of the post is in the spoiler.

Question:
A player on the server asked if you can replace the fiery leopard if it dies with another fiery leopard following the animal companion rules from p.214 of the CRB. I personally don't see why not, since animal companions die a lot and it would seem rather cruel to give someone a unique boon that can be lost due to bad luck, but I'd like to hear what others think.

Petty sure the answer is no. Isn't it on the boon itself?

I don't have so I am going off what I have been told by players who have the boon.

Have you looked in the GM Discussion to see if there is an answer there? it would be the best place to check.

Is like a few other animal companion boons the answer is nope so either don’t let it die... or be prepared to resurrect it alot

For what is is worth, I have a local player with said cat and it is now Large. Despite my best efforts. ;)

I looked into said animal companion and I had a lot of trouble to figure out what should be his damage and stats and I ended up just doing something else

The Fiery Leopard's stats are regular Cat stats with the modifications listed on the page- Fire Immunity, Cold Weakness, Flaming Attacks for +1 damage, Fiery Pelt and Burning Glow.

I also have a question about Plaguestone: Does the access to Lesser versions of item (like Lesser Energy Mutagen) gives access to higher versions of the same item?

Liberty's Edge 4/5 5/55/55/5 ****

Generally, no. When access is given on chronicles it is for that specific item. You don't have access to the formula either. You would need to reverse engineer to get the formula.

Looking at Energy Mutagen, none of the versions of it are legal for PFS so the only way to get them is with a chronicle.

Thanks for your answer. That's what I was expecting. It's still really sad, as for most characters it's just an item, but for an Alchemist, it's a play option.
