Purchase paizo.com gift certificates for friends and family!

Select your own denomination from $5 to $500.

Gift certificates are redeemable for store credit which may be used to purchase anything we sell at paizo.com, excluding other gift certificates.  That's more than 20,000 gaming products!

You may create a gift message for each gift certificate.  You can choose to provide your name or remain anonymous.

You can choose to have gift certificates delivered to existing paizo.com customers—you'll need to specify their Avatar Name.  They'll be sent an e-mail with your gift message (if any), and a link to their My Gift Certificates page where they may optionally print out a copy of their gift certificate, including your message.

If you don't specify an existing paizo.com customer, the gift certificates will appear on your My Gift Certificates page.  Gift certificates purchased in this way include a claim code that the recipient will redeem—treat this code securely, as if it were cash or a credit card number!   You may download and print a gift certificate to deliver yourself—you'll need Adobe Reader or another PDF viewer to do so.  (We do not print and mail gift certificates.)   (Once the gift certificate has been redeemed by the recipient, it will no longer appear on your My Gift Certificates page though the details of your purchase will still be available as part of your Order History.)

Gift certificates, once redeemed for store credit, can be used to pay for subscriptions, but in order to begin using store credit for this purpose, navigate to your “My Subscriptions” page, and click the button that says “use my store credit” as your payment option. The text will then change to “don’t use store credit”. Be aware, using this setting will ALWAYS use any store credit you have to pay for your subscription before charging your card for the difference, if there is any. To turn this off, simply navigate to the same page and click the button once more. If you navigate to the page and see that the button says “don’t use store credit”, it is set to check the store credit balance on your account.

Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.  Unused store credit cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.  If an order exceeds the amount of available store credit, the balance must be paid with a credit card.

I'm trying to buy the 'choose your own denomination' gift voucher for someone, but it keeps changing the value to $50.00 and giving me the message:

"Please note that the price of paizo.com Gift Certificate has changed from $131.95 to $50.00 since you placed it in your shopping cart. Items in your cart will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product pages."

Can someone help me? I'm feeling a bit stupid. :(

This looks like to be a bug in our system. I'll let you know when this is fixed.

What's the problem? You can buy a gift certificate in any denomination you like -- as long as it's $50.00. ;)

I guess I should just buy 2.639 of them.

Yep. Worked fine. Thanks. :)

The Exchange

It does not seem to give me an option to purchase a gift certificate for anyone but myself. I know it had this option at one time but not now??

Dark Archive

Never mind someone pointed it out to me. If it was a snake it would have bit me.

Just wondering... Say I get a big tax refund. Could I buy a $500 gift certificate (for example) and apply it to my account. Then each month when my subscriptions ship, the amount can be deducted from my account until its gone?

I saw something that says "cannot be applied to subscriptions" so I'm assuming not. ?? If not why, what would be the difference?

You can now. It used to be you could not apply them to subscription orders.

Now, if you buy a gift certificate and redeem it, you can select a box on your subscriptions page to apply any store credit to your ongoing subscriptions first. I'm currently doing something like that for the next couple of months till the miniature case ships in Dec/Jan.

cool. thanks

I was wondering. Could a Game Store have an account so that they could purchase Gift Certificates? I think a s store, to be able to be on par with the subscription model of giving a PDF with the purchase could include a $10 Certificate with each purchase.

We even have a retail locator which stores can sign up for to help people find their stores.

If a store wanted to purchase gift certificates or even gift customers PDFs they are more than welcome to, keeping in mind that gift certificates and gifted PDFs do require the recipient to have a paizo.com account.

How do I enter information to be saved on the gift certificate?

I want to download the gift certificate PDF and mail it to someone.
How to I enter 'To' or 'From'?
There does not appear to be any option for leaving a message as shown in the example.

Is there a publicly discussable reason for why one can't buy a gift card with store credit?

Just curious, really. It's not a huge issue.
