Great value, great work

5/5

Great minis for a great price. I love the whimsical and detailed artwork. I printed these on some heavywieght matte photopaper and they came out great.

This is an amazing deal

This set was recently updated. It felt a little sparse before. I still enjoyed the product.

Now it has everything you need to run this book. It features an amazing 3D dust digger. The quality of Ashton's work just keeps getting better. A must for any Arabian themed adventure.

Perfect!

If you are running the Legacy of Fire, buy this and print them off - they will save you a fortune, look great on the table, and are easy to construct! A great buy!

Good but a pain to print

I like the idea of these minis, but when I went to Kinko's to print it, they at first refused because of the copyright stuff on the bottom. I then dug out the question in the faq that says you are allowed to print ONE copy of a Paizo pdf. So at this point, I have to either buy a printer or go to a variety of Kinko's to get multiple copies made. Or maybe Paizo really does only want me to print one sheet of the minis. It seems like it would be easy to put "permission granted to copy for personal use" on the bottom of the sheets along with the copyright information. Either way, I like the idea, but won't be buying any more because of that issue.

Another nice set from Ashton.

The Minotaur guy and Bug Demon (I forget what they are from the Module) as well as the Harpy and Ogre are great. The right size, with terrific Menace.

However, what the other review has to say also has some merit.

1) The swordswoman could have used just a bit more detail. And, for my tastes, shes just a little too big compared with the other PF Papermini sets. (But only slightly). That being said, she'll make a good Paladin of Sarenrae in my ROTR campaign.

2) The Pugwampi King is just a bit too small. I picture him a bit rounder and taller.

3) The Axe-guy. (I forget his name). As the setpiece main villan, he could have used a bit more menace (look at the Minotaur and Ogre!) But he is suitably big and the axe looks cool.

And there are only 7 minis. Maybe this should have been a $2.99 set.

All that being said, however, this is stll a great deal. For less than $4, you get some new monsters that you can print over and over again (Guess what's going to show up during the Hook Mountain Massacre) and soem things that haven;t been done well as paper/ cardboard minis before.

and with this set and the other PF Paper minis, you get almost everything you need to run the first 2 books of the LOF AP!

Keep it up Ashton.

I've noticed that now that you have new sets out (and I AM able to DL the updated Burnt Offerings and Skinsaw sets) all of the links to the sets included are gone. I no longer have Goblins in my DL either, or PF 19 Bestiary Minis.... (Luckily, I have saved copies of those, with the Watermarked order #...YAY Watermarking...)

Thanks for the help so far...

Gigglestick, can you email that order number to customer.service@paizo.com so we can track down what the issue is?

Thanks for fixing it.

(It was user error on my end....)

Love the new minis!

Back! New and improved with over 60 miniatures for use in your Legacy of Fire or Katapesh-area game.

Spectacular update!

One oddity that I need to point out is that the download in "my downloads" still shows that the last update was in May 2009, but Liz's post and the actual update were in April 2011. Be nice to have this working so that I can see which mini sets were updated at a glance.

Now that I'm getting these printed for use, I see an error in the graphical setup for this whole revised set. The half circle fold up bases that are attached to each mini are not alone...there is another half circle behind the lower half of the creature/NPC art. This extra half circle is not found on any other sets I have and really makes the minis look odd when standing: "Why is that yellow base color extending up behind this mini's legs?" Any chance this can be fixed and the whole set reissued the "normal" way. Seems like it'd be a pretty easy thing to revise, but I'm no expert.

Thanks!

The half-circle at the base of the miniatures serves as a stronger support for the miniature (particularly since some of them have rather spindly legs), and was intentional.

And for really good support (for the medium-sized ones, at least) - glue each half of the mini onto a regular-thickness piece of cereal-box style cardboard, then glue those together - and the mini can be used with the bases from the Beginner Box.

hey love the product was just wondering if the minis for the other adventure path books in legacy of fire as well? There are only ones for the first two books almost through the first book and would love more minis for the others.
