Can Logos be use in other images? they will not be scaled or modified in anyway, only put on top a a picture like a cover etc.
This is a good point. Let's say, we want to have aPathfinder Qadira guild, could we cut the map and center around Qadira and then add some other images from the package overlapping it. Perhaps we could add our own desert to the picture too. In this way...could be create a banner for our website???

First of all, scaling them is fine, so long as you scale them proportionally—that is, don't shrink them more in one dimension than another.
You can place our images atop your own images, but you may not obscure parts of our images with your own images, or even with *our* own images—that would effectively be modifying them.

I find it quite strange that only few of these logos are vector format. For example, there's only a drop shadow that requires pixel graphic in Pathfinder roleplaying game's logo, but the entire logo is pixel graphic. I have a character sheet which I'm updating to use community use package and I hoped it to include vectorized version of PFRPG logo... I know this is a small matter, but the logo has suffered a lot from jpg packaging. Sorry about complaining when this is absolutely great to have this kind of community policy =).

aye jpeg is not the best, png supports transparency and the no detail is lost.

The PDF versions include vectorized graphics where possible, I'm told.

There are some, Planet stories and Pathfinder for example, but Pathfinder chronicles and Pathfinder rpg are pixel graphic. Pathfinder chronicles is understandable because it has effects that require pixel graphic, but Pathfinder rpg has only drop shadow. It's wouldn't be so big deal, but jpg packaging (also in pdf version) has really damaged the logo badly.

The art department says that no vectorized version of the full Pathfinder RPG logo exists yet, but they'll be making one for the finished cover shortly. We'll update the package at that time.

I second the request for PNGs instead of JPEG format. Alternatively TIFs if not PNGs.
Edit: That is to say vector in the PDFs and PNGs instead of JPEGs (which will help those who don't know how to do anything with a vector graphic on their website. :)

We have updated the file for Paizo Community Use Package: Logos.
The final version of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game logo has been added to the package. Please replace the old version with the new version wherever possible. (We are no longer distributing the older version.)
Also, dated logos (RPG Superstar 2009, PAIZOCON 2009) have been moved into a new "Historic Logos" folder. (You may continue using them; they're just not as useful as they once were.)

We have updated the file for Paizo Community Use Package: Logos. It now includes the latest logos for Pathfinder Campaign Setting, Pathfinder Adventure Path, Pathfinder Modules, Pathfinder Player Companion, and Pathfinder Tales, for use with the Paizo Publishing, LLC Community Use Policy.

Thanks, Chris.
Would it be churlish to point out that the "Community Package: Logos" page still displays the old Pathfinder Society Logo?

This hasn't been updated for over a year. I believe the PFS logo has changed. As well as the Card Game Guild logo isn't included.
My understanding is that logos can only be used if they appear in this download. I am working on the local PFS page and with the incredible focus Paizo is spending on the card game and its organized play I'd like to include its logo on our page for those events, but officially cannot do so under the community use policy.
Thanks for looking into this.

I know this is a free product an most likely at the bottom of your list but what are the chances of us seeing this update soon? I would love to update my Advertising flyers for PFS and my PFS web pages with the current seasons logos.

I hate to keep bugging you guys about this, but the Season is almost over and we still have not seen The Year of the Serpent logo added to the package. Still would love to see it so I can officially use it.

And you won't have me posting every few months asking "Is it ready yet?" ;).
