absolutely beasty

great figure; solid detail, heavy weight, and paints well. he's a big bruiser you want to have in your arsenal for a demon invasion.

Great mini for painting and gaming

How can you go wrong with a stereotypical muscular, horned demon! It has great detail and a really mean expression. I like to use this mini to teach my "mini-painting for beginners" workshops because you can paint it a base color, drybrush a lighter color on that, then touch up small details like the mouth, horns, and loincloth, and you have a finished mini in one hour. And it's all one piece, so there's no assembly required!

Are there any roleplaying stats for this Mini? I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find it. Is it statted up in one of the Modules? The Mini looks as cool as heck, but I want to see game stats for him. Thanks!!

He is in the Dark Elf Sanctum Compleat Encounter along with the awsome looking portal

Ah!!! That would explain why I couldn't find the game stats for him. They weren't in any of the books, they were in that mini package. May have to buy that now.

Coming from downtown fifteen years later again...

Aside from finding them on Archives of Nethys (and the D20PFSRD, for First Edition), the Kalavakus was, to my knowledge, first statted out in Bestiary 2 for PF1E. PF2E first had stats printed for the Kalas in Pathfinder #147: Tomorrow Must Burn, the third chapter of Age of Ashes.

I *do* wonder if there was any rules drift from the Sanctum CE to Bestiary 2, though...

(And don't worry, I promise I'm not doing this for every single miniature or whatnot in the store archives. It's just fun tracking down the origin of the Kalavakus from the pre-PF days onward!)
