Sure, the maps have been given their separate pdf so they're not such a problem (apart from the usual not aligning to accurate grids problem all Paizo maps seem to have). Why do we still have every piece of art separated into smaller pieces, making it needlessly difficult to extract for use in a VTT? And possibly because of this issue, trying to copy text is a pain. Just adding a ton of extra time to my prep work, recombining all these images in Gimp so they're actually usable.

Rant over, don't expect anything to change for the remaining couple of books but please try to get them better for the Horizons of the Vast AP.

How is this adventure? Anyone feel like writing a review? Considering purchasing it but want to know a bit more.

Short review without spoilers I can do.

I'm currently running two groups through this, though currently only a session in for one of them. Second group starts this Saturday, it'll be interesting to see how they deal with things compared to the first group.
It's a nicely put together adventure, with some avoidable combat if you talk your way round it. The characters are interesting and there's a couple of moral choices to make that really encouraged the roleplay in my group. Influences are obvious - if you like sci-fi like Firefly, maybe a bit of Farscape, there's opportunity for many references.
There's no starship combat in this book, but there is a bit of vehicular combat which has the potential to be a very memorable encounter.
There's a new trading subsystem which changes how Build Points are handled. You no longer get them automatically to upgrade your ship, you need to do trade runs to earn them. Legitimate trade as well as smuggling is possible and it looks like a well built system so far - haven't needed to use it yet. It's also completely ignorable if your group isn't interested.

Can't you make a screenshot of the pdf and then cut the images out?

Sure, and that's what I ended up doing. Usually I run an image extractor which pulls everything out in a couple of minutes. It's not a huge deal, just extra work for me

Is this all fixed up yet? VERY leery of buying this PDF for such a cool sounding adventure.......

Not absolutely fixed. You can copy and select text now, and most of the maps are in a separate pdf that you can extract them from easily (all except the very last one for some reason). All character art and stuff within the AP pdf is still split into several smaller images so a little bit of work is needed to extract them. If all you need is the text and maps tho, you're golden.

Character artwork is fine in the most recent Pathfinder pdfs, so hopefully it's a mistake that's yet to be fixed. Sure I can use Gimp to extract art to use on tokens but it's never as neat as it could be and it makes a (very small) difference when everything I run is through a VTT currently.

Yip, can confirm for both that the text is now selectable. Can extract maps from the bundled interactive maps pdf. However, all the character artwork and maps within the main pdf are still split into several smaller images. Means a bit of work with gimp to get character art into a VTT, but much less work than I was facing.

They've started a bit with the Society Scenarios. SF309 has a jpg map included for example.

Any updates on this? PDF street date is tomorrow, I would've thought it'd be fixed before then

More chimes as my download became available today and it has the same problems. Has there been any word from Paizo? Are they aware of the issue?

Yes, this PDF is not useful at all. As has been said, the maps are split into several tiny images and none of the text is selectable. Even tried downloading the file per chapter option and it's the same. Hoppefully there's a fix coming or it's going to make running this thru any VTT extremely difficult

Any chance for high quality images that aren't restricted to roll20's 10mb limit? There's a growing number of us using a multitude of alternate VTTs like Foundry that don't have limits who'd appreciate it

Very minor spelling mistake on page 54, Part of D35's description - currently reads "a wife hall leads".

Also have to say I really like that you've placed Level Up reminders in relevant places - makes it easier for milestone levelling.

I have all the digital assets released through June 23, but it seems those scheduled for June 30 have not yet been released (i.e. Pathfinder Weapons & Armor Deck and Starfinder Deck of Many Worlds). I'm also missing the digital assets for all the spell card products.

Ditto. I'm guessing it's an issue they're aware of, always going to be some teething problems when moving into a new distribution thing.

They probably automatized the process, so removing dupes would need someone to manually edit the result, and they probably don't have enough employees to spare for this, and thought it would be a minor inconvenience, and a "boon" for those that just want the pack, and hit "print all" or something, and have the same number of copies has original product.

Yep, this looks like it's the result of the cards not being audited for duplicates when they were packaged for upload. Having spent most of Monday removing duplicate images of the card backs for every card in every spell deck, I'm going to have to check with some folks to see what kind of bandwidth we have to fix this going forward.

Downloaded and they're very nice. Every card is included, which I'm not sure was necessary; it's a jpg, I don't need 4 copies of each card, but it's definitely easy to import them into whichever VTT you're using.

Is it just me or is the store for the spell cards broken. I pre-ordered the Arcane cards a long time ago, but when I try to click on 'Add to Cart' all day today for the other spell decks, I get a Paizo error page saying I don't have access to the page.

Same for me, but they still added to my cart when i clicked back.

Awesome stuff. Hopefully you move into releasing maps that are properly aligned for VTTs, would save me a ton of time.
