Grand Lodge 4/5

So if an Alchemical Sciences Investigator gets a familiar that familiar cannot use the quick alchemy ability or extra reagents ability because despite the Investigator having identical abilities they have different names. Is there clarification on this? Cause it would be nice to let those things work together....

Grand Lodge 4/5

We have a party trying to muster 6 15-16 champion tickets and have 5... we have several 12-13 champion tickets for trade! Anyone out there?

Grand Lodge 4/5

The Bladed Scarf finally has a weapon type! Thanks!

Grand Lodge 4/5

Bump! Only a few days away and still player spots!

Grand Lodge 4/5

So if there is not a GM signed up yet that spot is open? I may be able to attend and would gladly help out.

Grand Lodge 4/5

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

So I know this is not PFS legal - but I see no reason for it not to be. Could there be a ruling that the Urban Barbarian type be made legal for the Bloodrager. The Bloodrager has both abilities modified/replaced (although one is named slightly differently). This archetype is not over powered at all.

Just a thought!

Grand Lodge

Lethe was introduced in a recent PFS adventure. Seems like a mild opiate with no/low likelyhood of addiction. Could not find another reference for it though.

Grand Lodge 4/5

You can always remind players that they can choose to complete their season missions rather than the listed missions. The Andoran characters at my table took that route.

So my android device apparently autocorrected being into Bering. Interesting....

Grand Lodge

Male Human Child Rangler 6/Organizer 4

53527-4.

Thank you Mikes. T for running and B for Bering a hero!

Grand Lodge 4/5

It takes an immediate action to activate it. That is why it is 750 gp. Great for those Ohhhh Crap moments!

Grand Lodge

I will wait for Scruffy, but I want to state that I did actually want to kill the other harpy because if I am not correct that was our faction mission. Was killing the daughter enough to complete that?

Thanks for the healing! Scruffy if you can 5 foot back and try and take out the one still standing by me that would free me up a bit. If not I will roll with it!

Grand Lodge 4/5

We are going to miss you! You are leaving some huge shoes to fill!

Grand Lodge

Male Human Child Rangler 6/Organizer 4

I vote we continue! Since we are all alive... hopefully it cannot get worse than that!

Grand Lodge

Male Human Child Rangler 6/Organizer 4

Well that went well.... do not need any rerolls there!

Grand Lodge

Male Human Child Rangler 6/Organizer 4

Bahiti realizes that she never applied her first lvl. favored class bonus, and therefor still has 1 hp left and if GM will allow will make a full withdraw while grabbing Whit.

Grab Vort and flee little one! Don't risk your life - we need all of us to survive the trip back!

Grand Lodge

Bahitit moves up and over the table (accounted for difficult terrain) and positions herself next to the remaining cultist and Ben-Garri. Again getting bonuses for being adjacent to 2 enemies.

Will save to penetrate the Sanctuary. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

If successful I swing 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 161d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Grand Lodge

Bahiti moves into the room and confronts the two hurt cultists. (goes into a controlled rage and gets bonuses for being next to two enemies, +1 hit and AC)

Swings at the one on her right - 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 171d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Grand Lodge 4/5

Mad Alchemist beat me to the punch. I also have a boon that I would be willing to part with!

Grand Lodge

I really hope they support this system more. So much fun, and the cards would be great.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Yup, it is pretty awesome! Time to revisit some builds I had tossed aside when I first spotted that it was illegal. Let the magic and multi-classing flow!

Grand Lodge

Could I convince you to do a write up of the Ghaele Azata? I would greatly appreciate it! Awesome work so far and I am glad to see you back at it!

Grand Lodge 4/5

That would fly with me. It is specific enough and kind of cool.

My main character just picked up a handy haversack and filled it with books... Walking library of a Lore Warden!

Grand Lodge

Sounds like a lot of fun! I know that it may not help the inquisitor to much against the party, but, the Spellkiller Inquisition from UC would be a great one for the character concept.

Also, if you have UC I would suggest looking at the Iconoclast, Spellbreaker, and Witch Hunter archetypes. Full of fun stuff that perfectly fits the theme.

Grand Lodge

I guess I should have clarified that I wanted the whip for its reach, disarm, and trip abilities.

Grand Lodge

So the Scorpion Whip states that if you are proficient in whips you can use it as a whip - but it is an exotic weapon as well. Would I need to take both exotic weapon feats (whip + scorpion) or could I just take whip and not use the scorpion as a performance weapon. pg. 144 of the UC for easy reference

Thanks!

Grand Lodge

Those two spells are incredibly overpowered as of 3.5 - I agree with Haladir. Might even take them up two levels.

Grand Lodge

I have been running a sorc and am about to start a bard using the WOP system. It is kinda fun and gives you a creative way to expand your abilities.

Things I have done to make it work better -
Add Communal as a 2nd lvl target word
Taken the adopted trait to get access to the human AVP favored class ability of learning an extra word at every level (one lower than highest you can cast - which I doubt is RAW but it sure helps a lot)

I do really hope that they support this system some more in the future...

Grand Lodge

Or Inquisitor

Or Oracle

So many choices that can heal and DO MORE!!!

Grand Lodge

I have been getting into the words of power and I really like the versatility of the system (once I got past the confusing parts). It seems to get great for any spontaneous casters...

That being said I was hoping that Inner Seas and Ultimate Combat would expand on the system some... Is there going to be any more support in the future?

Grand Lodge

So is there going to be any more support or development of the words of power introduced in Ultimate Magic? I had been really hoping for something in Inner Seas Magic and Ultimate Combat, and was surprised to see nothing.

I don't know about sniping with the arcane trickster. You have to speak to cast your spells and you can't do that and hide.

that is why you get silent spell - and as an arcane trickster you get to use silent spell a couple times a day without the spell level increasing (in fact you get to do silent/still 5/day at 10th lvl)

Great feedbeack everyone. I to am preparing to run CoCT and find this very intersting and helpful. I was wondering if any of the groups had a Shoanti PC? I gave a big DM hint that a shoanti PC would be very rewarding and one of my players took on the challange. I think this will help mitigate some of the weariness, as she will have a motivation outside of the main plot focus. Any comments/

I had a PC Shoanti in the party - he even picked the right tribe to be from..... It helped A LOT to cut that book short. We still did the Cindermaw thing though. I would suggest that you allow someone to run a Shoanti if they so please. It helped me a lot (I wanted to focus on Scarwall more anyways)

Grand Lodge

I really like this - I have always been a fan of classless systems (Shadowrun and the such where there are archtypes but not classes)
I converted a fighter/cleric over and ended up a bit more powerful but this is a really wonderful thing - I can now do character concepts that I really want to do so much easier!

like a more martial cleric....... (I wanna smite and have auras but mixing cleric and pali just doesn't add up that well)

Grand Lodge

In 2nd Ed. the Elven players guide had a nice Elven weapon - it was a longbow that was so well made and sturdy that you could use it as a quarterstaff

I would like to see something along those lines
