Weak Combat Builds Will Be Punished!

4/5

Really enjoyed The Edge of Heaven and I'm reviewing it for what it is: a straight up gauntlet of encounters that will test your party's tactics and builds.

The scenario is based around the hazards of the mountainous environment and unique combat encounters with pretty much zero RP.

The last encounter can 1 shot a character at any tier so players must fight it smart and pray for some favorable dice rolls.

A grueling (but fun) slugfest from beginning to end.

One of my favorites

4/5

One of the few PFS scenarios that takes place primarily outdoors. It has epic fights and a unique setting. The last battle is huge and had us laughing so hard we could barely finish it. It's RP light and combat heavy which fit the tastes of the table we had.

It may not be perfectly written but it is a lot of fun and that's all the matters.

Absolute Garbage

1/5

I played this at a con recently and wanted to flip the table over when it ended. I am a PFS addict and I like all types of scenarios but this thing is linear, corny as hell, and has an absurd game mechanic that makes zero sense to the lore of PFS .

We had a good group that carefully took notes and collected a mountain of evidence for our mission. We played it very carefully and at the end we were stripped of 5pp even though we conducted a thorough investigation.

The GM apologized to the group and told us to submit a review on the website because she hated the scenario herself and was only running it for the con's sake. So here is my review: Avoid it at all costs. Worst PFS scenario I have ever played by a landslide.

I cant believe Paizo would put their name on something so poorly written.
