As a trans person, I just had to say how deeply touched I was by arshea’s write up.

As to NPC’s I think Maeda from 8-99 is the gold star example. She has a personality and goals, not just cardboard representation but she talks about it if it is brought up. Shardra is another great example in the setting, A character who is trans but not wholly defined by their transness is exactly what I want in representation. Azure from the recent scenario is a great example of the same idea for non-binary folks.

Also remember that this culture has at least one non binary god, Arshea, so the concept of non binary identities shouldn’t be that foreign to the culture.

As to PC’s I am a trans woman myself. I have 2 trans women pc’s and it has never come up in character with one of them in the 7 levels I have played her through. I also have 2 non binary pc’s the only time it has come up is when another player asked what pronouns they preferred, I said I wasn’t bothered. If it comes up it comes up I address it but I don’t introduce it more than discribing the non-binary characters as androgynous.

Name: Madame Mimm
Choice: Senator
Alignment: Neutral Good
Race: Human
Class: Druid (Saurian Shaman) 10
Lion Blade: No
Description: Mimm is an imposing Ulfen woman covered in scars, though her true form is rarely seen generally only for particularly stuffy functions. She spends time as a celestial allosaurus generally, though will spend time as a celestial deinonychus. As she can speak normally in that form and isn't larger than human size, she sees little problem with it. She is generally accompanied by a dimwitted but friendly stegosaurus called Hank.

This is super cool. I’m trans myself and it is awesome to see the effort by this company to be inclusive.

100 percent behind the changes to the ring. Well decided.

Thanks.

Does that mean it wouldn’t interrupt other performances then? If it isn’t a performance for the purpose of “starting a performance” as a move action then could you maintain inspire courage while still using cutting remark?

Dark Archive

The wit bard archetype gets cutting remark at 3rd level.

At 3rd level, a wit can wound with his words. The wit can spend 1 round of bardic performance as a standard action to deal 1d4 points of nonlethal damage + the wit’s bard level to a creature within 30 feet. Damage Reduction applies to this damage.

Since it uses performance rounds and is a standard action, does that mean cutting remark can be used as a move once you hit 7th level?

Thanks.

Dark Archive 3/5

I apologize if I got the call wrong on the action but I don’t think this is really the right way to handle this. This question could have been asked without calling out specifics or addressed with the venture officers.

Dark Archive

Thanks!

If you have an unchained eidelon with multiple of the same attack and but a modifier (I.e. Improved damage, grab, or reach) does it apply to all instances of the attack or only one.

For example if it has 3 tentacles and reach does it have one with reach and two without or 3 with reach?

I am a trans woman and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the treatment of the Rivethun. It's a small thing to have that kind of inclusion but I do really appreciate having options to have that connection to a character, should I get the urge.

Thanks to the team for that.

Ok, maybe i am dumb, but where in the scenario is the "contributes directly to the ongoing storyline of the Silver Crusade faction." part.

My guess is the expeditions goal will be further flushed out for a silver crusade nod in a future scenario.

I'd be up for running some core pbp's

As a trans person, I am stoked to see the rivethun get a write up.

The leyline guardian witch makes them a spontaneous caster with the spells known of a sorcerer. Can you still take the elf favored class bonus for an extra spell known every level or does it not work since they no longer get spells from a familiar?

Dark Archive

Medium probably.

Dark Archive

If not the build doesn't work because it would be brutally delayed.

Dark Archive

Does that matter since it if from kensai? I thought you couldn't benefit from the feat but still got it. It just didn't turn on until you met the prereqs.

Dark Archive

The problem there is that I am incapable of dealing non spell damage until I get. +2 weapon. It makes you utterly useless until what like 4th level? Though you don't get whip mastery until 3 anyway I guess.

Dark Archive

That makes sense. Thanks.

Dark Archive

I am not familiar with magus but was theory crafting a build and would love constructive criticism or if I have gotten anything wrong mechanically. This is for PFS with all attendant restrictions.

Human magus(kensai- whip)
S 7 d 16(18) c 12 i 16 w 12 cha 10

Bonus feat - weapon focus whip
Feats
1- weapon finesse
1- slashing grace
3- whip mastery
5- intensified spell
5(magus) - ?
7 - improved whip mastery
9-?
11?

The idea is to use the whips reach to extend touch spells and iajutsu and improved whip mastery to threaten with a 10 foot reach even while flat footed.

If you are open to a splash, 2 levels of vigilante gives you leave an opening which is an aoo at the start of the enemies next activation after you get a sneak attack on them.

It would be hard to force but snake fang (the top of snake style) with paired opportunist would be absolutely deviatating.

Dark Archive

You can be a tree singer as previously noted but can't implant it in your body as far as I can see. You can do it with a familiar. A synergist witch can take a petrifern familiar and merge with it. It's not very good mind you but you can do it. Though I guess it puts you in telepathic contact with a creature with blindsight that shares your square so it could be worse.

Dark Archive

If you are focusing on combat support lingering performance will be really helpful. You also may want to focus on support spells like saving finale and timely/ gallant inspiration.

Dark Archive

Out of the 2 haunted is mechanically less of a problem. Don't draw items in combat and it has no effect. I like the flavor of tongues but as you noted language dependent spells are then way less useful. For pure mechanics, deaf is mechanically the best if you aren't dead set between those two.
