i have a bard who's face is literally rotting off because he died in society last year. (to reflect that he is taking sorc undead bl) he has no good looks at all. and just yesterday barded us all through a module avoiding combats and still getting allies to help us. was proud of myself

i don't know about what atrus said, but i know all my swordlord characters have the surname, specifically my fan fic dayn' aldori

hey i'm from missouri, ad in need of a game. why am i asking slc? because i'm at cr england truckin school. can anyone help? please?

in a game i recently ended (i was gm) one of the girls was completely new to the game, so i gave her my number and over facebook we kept talking and playing and every game session she was getting so much better, till shefinally got to where i can't help her anymore, but we kept talking and we would start sitting closer and closer together, and now i plan to mae her my wife.

and no she never got special treatment in game, beside me having my arm around her

anyways go for it. ya never know

haveing not actually read the new archetype i'm ging to be limited here. but can't the blade be ensorcelled to cast a spll say open/close? if not can't the magus who only is ale to cast it by pointing th blade at the lock?

it is almost always easier to build a dex based melee, over str based, your survivability goes up by a lot, plus you will on average go faster in combat, be harder to hit, better skills, dex can make the to hit just s easy the only thing str has over dex is dmg

2 people marked this as a favorite.

ichigo vs elric would be hilarious. elric would laugh hysterically and stab ichigo repeatedly before his sorceror tendencies would kick in.... but erekose? well i think we know that would go?

aka he bends down and you aoo his face, then he gets his weapon. :)

just gonna talk about three and four.

as klebert said you can't have a disarm loop. but you may (homegame) get a loop of dis-arm. (it's a jk)

and 4 i only know of 1 way to get your weapon back that fast, and thats a weapon cord, and if that was society play and lvl 1-2 tier, don't think there is a character with that ability, so i have to say bs, but if the encounter was more memorable, and didn't cause anyone to die from this little maneuver, then i won't say nothing. as long as it was fun for you i'm happy to see it... also welcome to pf

bob i would love to. but he is society, which means that i have to keep them exactly the way paizo rules.

my main problem with this is that my character while having a high armor class is not a tank. i skirmish, not to mention that i have been technically cheating the entire time since i took my second level of ek.

yes i could buy all the spells i have and not have a problem. but that would require money. where all my gold is already spent. not to mention that (unless i'm mistaken) use a random wizard in town for society play, for the half cost.

i am also not going to be selling all my gear for enough gold to cover the cost, essentially my toon has been nerved and thus removing any and all reason for me to keep him. he has already slammed himself into my retiree/dead folder and will not be coming out.

i'm really not that ticked about this, it's more of the fact that it's not really that clear in the book.

fighter/wizard/ed. :( and now i am officially the local cheater... funny since i was usually the one who would throw the biggest hissy fit about cheating... sorry guys

eldritch knight. different subset of abilities, but still the same ruling would apply.

wish i had known this 4 level's ago... guess it's time to retire my main since he's completely illegal now, that and fixing it would just kinda tick me off.

lol dead man says better things then a rachir guy ;)

1: no they cast divine, divine magic has no chance to spell fail you are essentially praying not waving your arms for any types of magic

2:i myself prefer melee, but i am a melee hog. using melee seems to fit better to me, plus the judgements worked best for me,

3: animal domain is always a fun choice to have, and always fun.

4: dwarf for the wisdom bonus, the con bonus is also going to be awesome for you, especially if you go melee. aka hp goood

5: played it in a home game. i was the first to act each round, best dps we had, and a back up healer. but i was allowed to roll stats, and i always prove why you don't roll stats out.

6: no matter how you go though the inquisitor benefits best from a high wisdom, and that makes me usually go 20+ in that regard.

you can gain them the same way a wizard would gain any spell, via level up's or to buy the scrolls and write them in

(edit) grr you laz for posting the answer before me :)

yes i will quote page 51..."Wayfinders and Ioun Stones" there you go sir, and yes i agree with dragnmoon on this one, buy the book especially since well it;s going out of print i do beleive. and yes that is a direct quote

i think it's the same thing, just a different way to visualise your character, i used to have my ol paladin with spiked armor, but the spikes were blades that stuck out 2 inches and were like littles axes in my armor

Wayfinder (Standa rd)
Aura faint evocation; CL 5th
Slot none; Price 500 gp; Weight 1 lb.
Description
A small magical device patterned off ancient relics of
the Azlanti, a wayfinder is typically made from silver and
bears gold accents. With a command word, you can use
a wayfinder to shine (as the light spell). The wayfinder also
acts as a nonmagical (magnetic) compass, granting you a +2
circumstance bonus on Survival checks to avoid becoming
lost. All wayfinders include a small indentation designed to
hold a single ioun stone. An ioun stone slotted in this manner
grants you its normal benefits (as if it were orbiting your
head), but frequently reveals entirely new powers due to the
magic of the wayfinder itself (see page 51).
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, light; Cost 250 gp

there you go the exact everything to a wayfinder without reading through the seeker of secrets... great book get it before it's gone btw

ahh thank you very muchi think i'll have to use some of the ol noggin to finish it but it works thanks again. and sorry for putting this in wrong thread

when i comes to monsters of int below 7 i auto assume they attack nearest target's regardless of the situation, around 7 they still do but will attack the weaker looking if they have more then 1 target, and 15 well they will avoid aoo, and all that stuff... at least thats how i play my monsters

i would have to say talk to the gm's who ran those games for you explain the situation, and then ask if he can get you new chronicle's for each but they all stay at the low tier permodule so if there all 1-5 tier's you only get the 1-2 tier gold, along with no day job's roles, but thats me.

not when i'm level 3 casting enlarge person and bulls strength same round, can't do it too much but from time to time, i do

ah not worried about it really, this is mainly for society play, my freinds and i only really play that to come up with the most broken things possible. hence y i play a wizard barbarian half orc, so i can throw my heavy orc axes at my enemy and get them back free :)

Hi again,

Say, a class X can create things (infusions, mutagens, evocations, etc. - but not psionic manifestation) that duplicate arcane and/or divine spell effects.
Say, a character with levels in X is interested by a prestige class that includes "+1 spellcasting level" every couple levels.

Would the prestige class advance his spellcasting-like ability from X?

I would have to say no, due to the fact that mutagens and all that are not spells, even though they act like spell like abilities they are not spells though i could be wrong

"Most creatures of Medium or smaller size have a reach of only 5 feet. This means that they can make melee attacks only against creatures up to 5 feet (1 square) away. However, Small and Medium creatures wielding reach weapons threaten more squares than a typical creature. In addition, most creatures larger than Medium have a natural reach of 10 feet or more."

bows don't have reach, they have range, you dont threaten adjacent squares with a ranged weapon

"You threaten all squares into which you can make a melee attack, even when it is not your turn. Generally, that means everything in all squares adjacent to your space (including diagonally). An enemy that takes certain actions while in a threatened square provokes an attack of opportunity from you. If you're unarmed, you don't normally threaten any squares and thus can't make attacks of opportunity."

THANK YOU, void my last line please thank you name violation for an answer i can not see past

allright cool i do feel much better now, and i won't use it for society maybe in a home game where my gm isn't paying attention but thats cause i am evil. but society no, now can you guys do me a favor and show me the information page numbers? the ones you used to answer these? future reference and all if you don't mind

i feel i should also say that the reason i ask is becuase reach is only available to say a lance, or a spear, a sword has no reach, no where am i seeing that it does, now i know a bow can't make aoo's because it says the specifically i am not seeing anything about the reach thing unless your saying that only spears and lances and actual reach weapons (the ones that hit 10 ft away not 5) can. rules lawing gotta love it ha ha

Your RANGE is 100 feet with a bow. Your bow has no concept of "reach" because reach/not-reach are properties only melee weapons get.

ok i can live with that answer thank you, i only posted to find a way not to use this in society :) and thus with that i can let it go. thank you sir unless someone else posts something against it then i'll settle for that

my reach is 100 feat with a bow.

allright so theres been some talk of rangers at my local gaming store. So naturally I decided to be evil :) and make a better range ranger, and looking through feats I saw all the goodies and figure I'll shoot multiple arrows at my enemies. Which naturally made me think of cleave. Now I know rapid shot and all that is meant for range multiple shot's but looking at the ruling of cleave I see nothing that says an arrow can't cleave into the next guy, as long as there adjacent and withing reach... and 100 ft range they should be.

Cleave (Combat)
You can strike two adjacent foes with a single swing.
Prerequisites: Str 13, Power Attack, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: As a standard action, you can make a single
attack at your full base attack bonus against a foe within
reach. If you hit, you deal damage normally and can make
an additional attack (using your full base attack bonus)
against a foe that is adjacent to the first and also within
reach. You can only make one additional attack per round
with this feat. When you use this feat, you take a –2 penalty
to your Armor Class until your next turn.

besides the describtion theres nothing that even remotely means melee... am i just being evil or is there something i'm missing?

... u mean i get an adventure for my deity... ahhh. squeel o im so gonna have to make sure im in this one. where my sign up sheet lol
