Zot the Magnificent's page

Bah, that's what I thought. Well, I have always envisioned Zot as being a bronze dragon (whose lore I loved) but I also kind of love the lore of Cloud Dragons (and have several other Cloud Dragon-related characters) so I can make that shift without losing too much of Zot's identity. Still, I admit that this one thing had me hesitating to remaster, despite all the inherent benefits.

Question about Kobold Breath

Hey, I'm a kobold Swashbuckler. If I remaster, will I have to change my kobold breath to one of the new dragons? The kobold breath feat has not been reprinted, so I'm wondering if I can still retain my bronze dragon breath weapon or if I would need to change it to one of the newer dragons.

Thoughts?

"Mom, how did you miss Kobolds? And you call yourself a Librarian?! Sheesh."

An angry bronze kobold crosses her arms and goes off to sulk in the corner.

"Of course you can! Because I am a mighty dragon, and dragons can do anything!"

You can make a message with any alias you have, and your PFS characters show up as aliases on this board. It's great for Play-by-Posts on the Paizo forums.

"I am Zot the Magnificent, and I fight foes in the same manner as my draconic ancestors... with a rapier!"

Zot tells Nixret, "Stay in until your initiation, and then you too can be a mighty dragon in the Pathfinder Society!"

Zot likes the Pathfinder Society, because the Society offers her the very best minions to accompany her on missions for Fame and Treasure.

Do we want to wait on Crashing Wave until you are slightly higher level, then?

A bronze-scaled kobold overhears the word underwater and comes over.

“Oh! A fight underwater! Can I come?!? I’ll bring my dragon!”

It isn’t a reunion tour though if we all swap to different characters.

That said, I do have a character that actually wants to play in an underwater scenario. Has Underwater Maurauder and an aquatic Eidolon.

What level is Tarcog? Is he level 3 or 4? Zot the Magnificent is Level 5 now, but with a bunch of GM credit so I would need to level her, so I could accomodate Underwater Marauder. (I last played her on Level 2... it's the curse of being a mostly constant GM. I need to apply those Society credits somewhere.) But Zot is a mighty dragon, and so needs competent party members minions to do all that boring thinking stuff. Zot will happily fight to protect her minions, and she is very sociable, but she needs at least one member of the party who is good at that boring academic stuff.

Also... If we need her to be lower level, I could slow track my last credit and scale her back to level 4 if we need her to be more in line with other party members.

But... There is a limit to my mental bandwidth and the number of Play-by-Posts my brain can handle. I could either do Crashing Wave -or- the Reunion Tour. Not both.

What do other people want?

1) Zot's Chronicle folder.

Here's where Zot's minion keeps all the chronicles in one place, renaming each with a number and the name of the adventure so that it makes more sense when looking at it later.

2) Zot's Spreadsheet

This is where Zot's minion tracks reputation, experience, faction stuff, purchases and boons. The minion labels boons in Red and adventures in Purple to make them stand out. The second sheet shows how much Zot is liked by his faction and how much experience he needs to level.

Zot's player got this spreadsheet from her friend, Bret, who created it. Here is a blank copy of the ITS (originally, "Item Tracking Sheet" though it does so much more now) that you can copy for yourself and use:

Meanwhile, in the tent...

"Hic!" The Mighty Dragon, Zot the Magnificent, stares blearily at an empty wine bottle as she weaves back and forth in the tent. "See, I think... you... are totally wrong, Doc. This wine clearly has no eff--" she pauses for a moment, losing her train of thought. Then she nods sagely. "Doesn't work on dragons..."

"The Kneecaps of the world are ours!"

Haha. Kobolds are the mascot for the union, and we have merch, so there is that. Ok, back to vacation for me. :)

"You have my sword!"

"Shhh. Don't tell her we're here. True dragons are the sneakiest creatures of all!"

"Free the Kobolds!"

A bronze kobold dances into the thread, strikes a pose and flourishes her rapier. "Zot is a mighty dragon who slays her enemies just as her draconic forbears intended -- with a rapier! She joined the Pathfinder Society because they provide the best minions for her missions! It's good to have minions who can do the disagreeable stuff like the thinking and the knowing stuff and the spell casting so that Zot can be the mighty dragon who protects them all!"

Then she glances to the right and left, before admitting in a whisper, "Also, Zot have gambling problem, and the Pathfinder Society pays well. But they still provide the best minions, even if the minions always try to tell Zot that they are not minions but colleagues. Zot knows better."

Alas. I would play ACP for that one, because it was so perfect for one of my kobolds.

Zot became a gambler instead, and the fact that she knows NOTHING about dragons (but thinks she knows EVERYTHING about dragons has now become an important part of her character.
