"I'm sure what my esteemed colleague meant to say was "then tell our employer" who will tell you what they chose to since they are paying for this mission ... and at our discretion, we will share the information with the Starfinder Society as well, who may also choose to tell both entities, or the authorities, whatever they choose to."

Zephyr smiles, somewhat, in a way that doesn't seem like smiling

"What I will share, openly, is that I hope no part of this investigation is time sensitive. As a group, we have gained nothing of value meeting with either claimant, so I hope what needs to be found is frozen in space and that this hasn't put completion of our contract at risk."

Zephyr does his best to smile in the face of 'diversity' the result looking a touch more like a grimace ...

That actually is a great idea. Best we get our facts prior to having them polluted by both parties personal perspectives.

The Dirindi points in a general direction!
To space!

For those who had played the game as children, Zephyr certainly qualified as "stiff as a board" ... "light as a feather" not so much. He clearly showed his discomfort surrounded by nonlife.

"There can be no argument there, we are absolutely perfectly positioned. At the moment, we have the presentation of desired tasks and outcomes; should not our consideration include the remunertion we would receive for these tasks and outcomes? I think it should."

Zephyr smiles, none of this was out of the ordinary.
Now.
All these year ... after the Gap.

But if the stories were to be believed, back in the day, pretty much no one would have tolerated an embassy of the undead in the middle of a city. Yes there were rumours of a country on old Golarion which had been ruled by undead creatures, but now, Eox was Eox, and this was business as usual.

"Seems like it's showtime Starfinders. Shall we proceed?"

I'll be naming the character Ix.

Ix seems a bit out of sorts, often staring into nothingness. As if looking at something that isn't really there. Maybe even striking up a conversation with said 'nothing'

But he is a good listener. Good and friendly manners. Some may think he's reserved, but he is rather thinking on what to say that would fit the conversation. Not wanting to seem rude

He likes different foods of different races. Though his own cooking skill is much to be desired. Easiest way to draw him into a conversation is to discuss food

In which case, we will probably need to draw him OUT of conversation with Dirk, because interestingly enough, food is one of the great ways to get the Corporate Captivator to be quiet.

Dirk Gently busily secures his tie, straightens his trusty hat and tests the elasticity of his suspenders. Smiling at his appearance in the mirror, the Three eyed Dirindi finishes his morning preparations before departing his temporary lodgings at the nice, if cost efficient motel procured by Zephyr.

Having received his invitation to procure his standard PR package set up: Influencer account, pre-recorded voice promos, holo-measurements, the basics of his virtual model, and a standard public "intro" set up, while not necessarily grueling, but involved and occasionally tedious, it did allow for the Holistic Detective to finally finish level 2 of Donkey Kong. Also further good fortune, he got his choice of color for the drone cam, and VI personality for his calendar!

He chose Fuchsia and Zo!

Walking out of his appointment at its conclusion, Dirk text the Level 21 crew representative back a smiley face.

A mere 12 minutes later, the Holistic Detective can be seen eating tacos standing at a taco cart, while reading the recent news of the Infosphere.....

Munching on his third taco, Dirk absently daps at his chin. To the taco cart vendor he inquires
Ever hear of Elysium Holdings? Sounds like a great investment...

I'll continue after others posts before going to the Two days later....

Walking up behind Dirk, excited to get his mouth into a taco, the Castrovelian Castigator exclaims: "Great investment!?!? You have NO idea my friend ... they're genius! Remember how I said I did some tutoring on the side during school? Bunch of rich kids, and sometimes their parents? Yeah, well, details aren't important, BUT, there was this one time, and wow, being a "plus one" does not always suck. I went to the opening of one of EH's first properties, like 4 years ago. I was underage ... well, to drink I mean, but the place was beyond spectacular. Makes that awesome place we were booked here on the station seem like a trailer park, or "cart park" or whatever they would have called it on old Golorian."

"OMG, we should call our companies! Maybe we can do promo spots there! During the opening!!!"

Anyone who knows Zeph knows his passion for Castrovel ... but that doesn't make him an "influencer" yet by any stretch. Yeah, sure, he had the obligitory fake holo-blurs of the elven homelands in his posts & posdcasts, but reach, no, reach he hasn't really tried to create yet.

It's pretty fair commentary Cleb, no worries. I think PbP is great for what it's great for, but I set my calendar for my VTT games. I know you meant in person and 4hrs FtF, but the reality is, even with PbP, if any of us were giving 4 hours a week total, the party would be on Castrovel by now. I share that opinion as a guilty party NOT in any way blameless.

Was a really hard transition back to work, only to have that be 60 days for my position to be eliminated. Kinda sucked (kinda), but I do have time now to recommmitt.

That said, I'm also going to say that I kinda of revile coming to these boards at this point. I get that I might be the only one who likes Discord, but I'm not going to use Paizo's neolithic technology to get notifications about games. I'm just not. Sit here scratching flint and steel to use RSS feeds. LOL no thanks.

But if people want to post here, and then say something in Discord, so that I do actually get a notification, on my phone where my life happens, I would be glad to put it down and come over here and post.

I came here tonight specifically to go look for the reference to the place where the characters were told Starfinders get a discount, to rent Zeph a suite for a week or so, and move things at least a little forward. Give the guy an address so that his new employer can send him stuff. Now I've typed 5 paragraphs that aren't related to that but I'm glad to have typed them. Gonna take my own advice too ... sorry if it's late whereever you all might be.

We could have each person who wants any non credits item to roll a d20 and let highest roll take first pick.

Totally agree on this and the split mechanics. Not sure there is going to be any competition, and we could allocate a portion of the cash to just buying healing stuff if that seemed helpful to people

There was absolutely no reason to have trained so long with his Lashuntan mentors if he wasn't going to use minor magic whenever he could. So he did. It wasn't exactly art as much as an explosion of color. All things considered, he knew he could change it whenever he wanted, and it made him smile to look at it.

He prayed his thanks to Yuelral that everything was laundered one last time as well; he was ready to go tonight, and exicted to get some new intel from the Downside Kings.

I think we should just return and try to get into that store room and back room and see what happens.

Fair enough - we are solarians, it's practically like being Spartan!

Alright then.

So our strategy is to re-enter the club, sneak into the back and search for clues, connections, evidence, foreshadowing and, perhaps, beat Solarian style some unobtrusive gangsters without totally alerting the actual front of house as it were...

Ok!

or do exactly what we did on Level 21 ... attract a little attention, ask some irritating questions, get taken to the Downside Kinds leadership, rough them up if we need to ... done

I have doubts as to starting a combat inside the club. If we can somehow make it into the back then perhaps we could ol' school hobo folks we run into....

To me this is one of those "take me to your leader" moments; somewhere in the club there is an office, and if we're pushy enough, we'll get taken there, probably unguarded since they won't know that we're a viable threat

I'm goping to be honest, I am so confused on the cash thing; to me it seems like there is some kind of disconnect, like starting pathfinder characters all having more caltrops than they have common sense. I couldn't find anything to spend credits on in character gen, so Zeph just spent his stipend so that everyone could have an address for the next 7 days. Is there something we need? I am really confused. Everyone got 200cr that they (except for Zephyr) haven't spent. Do we need to loan each other money? I bought Zeph a skipshot pistol specifically only for subterfuge; aren't solarian weapons meant to give solarians a starting point that's equal to or better than normal armament?

In the morning, Zeph wakes early to have one more order of his favorite Castrovellian delicacies; then gets onto a terminal. He makes a 7 day reservation for 4 small suites at the Moons of Sleep, informs his employer of his new address, and then messages his colleagues.

”Friends, a small gift: I have booked lodging for us, for the next 7 days. As much as I hate to leave the lap of luxury, the suites at the Moons of Sleep where Chichiks referred us are quite adequate, and not expensive for Starfinders. Preferable I would think to simply squatting at the deceased’s apartment. The reservations are ready for us whenever you are prepared to check out. From there, we can plan our next foray to the Fusion Queen. See you soon, ZEPH”

Zephyr summons all of the elven arrogance that he can muster to ensure that the bouncers know that he's "someone" ...
