The good:
-Fantastic setting
-Creative fights
-Excellent chance to follow up on a Pathfinder from the past
The bad:
-Kinda glaring plot holes on occasion. Not many but they're there.
-High tier one fight could be quite dangerous especially to more well rounded, less power minded groups.
I enjoyed running this scenario quite a lot and my players all expressed that they enjoyed themselves. Several good roleplaying chances to enhance what the PC's experience. Two fairly quality NPC's make it possible for some interesting interactions. What can I say? As the title says "overall, pretty damn good".
Just got my brick today. I was opening up box after box and was totally impressed with much of what I received. Suddenly I open a booster and come across this sorry piece of plastic. WTF is this thing supposed to look like it's doing?! My friend likened it to something I don't care to mention for taste reasons but I think it looks like a deer trying to navigate ice. Clearly the sculpt isn't big enough for the base and it feels like they stretched it out to fill the base. It's pose it ridiculous, RIDICULOUS!
Please I beg you, don't make any scenarios for PFS that contain a Leucrotta, if you do I'll have to spend the session waiting for the players to stop laughing at my tiny ice bound badger/horse.
Just ran this scenario about an hour ago and let me tell you it is not good. I'm not going to put any spoilers or anything like that but the fact that if the characters don't fall victim to a trap somewhere in the scenario they loose about 1/3 of the gold is just poor writing.
Also not one of the encounters was challenging what-so-ever. It was sad really. The BBEG was down in 2 rounds of attack from one character.
As for the title of this review, the thing we've gone back to is Season 0 length scenarios. We were done with the scenario in 3 hours and that was wasting a LOT of time.
All in all this feels like a scenario that someone would write the night before it was due. Which is a total shame because it has the POSSIBILITY to be very cool. Great atmosphere, good enemies but it all comes together to be the worst scenario I've played or GM'ed to date.
