Male Human (I think) Student 3/Bum 1

The year is 604 AR, the Laelese army has become fat, corrupt, and useless. Khadoran Dogs nip at its borders, Bandit Horses run rampant through it's trade routes, and Corrupt Swine roll around in ill-gotten gains. The good Laelese people rely on tough, capable mercenaries such as the Whelp-Stompers to protect their nation from threats from both domestic and abroad! Are you a bad enough dude to join the Whelp-Stompers?

The Setting:
The basic premise of the game is that you have joined the mercenary company, the Whelp-Stompers, as a Sergeant (how long is up to you during character creation). They have been posted in a small fort in Northwest Lael called Crow's Hood. It is positioned over looking a coal-mining town called Earth's Bounty but most of the mercenaries just call it "Earth's Arse". The Whelp-Stompers share the fort with a contingent of Laelese regulars and this leads to some tension between the two groups.

A pair of guards drag you out of your cell in the middle of the night. The shackles attached to your arms and legs clank against the stone floor as the guards haul you into the warden's office. After a few minutes, the room has filled up with 5 other prisoners.

The entire party is here along with 2 guards blocking two sets of doors (the one you came through and a pair of double doors on the other side of the room), and one other male human prisoner (knowledge local rolls to identify). You can now talk to each other

So the party has gathered in Absalom. You each have a reason for being in the Rusty Dragon Bar (which I will pm you all later).

Ok people we need to set up a good time for a pre-session for all of us to meet and talk about what we expect out of this campaign. Availability times people?

Lantern Lodge

So after watching a whole bunch of Breakout Kings, and reading a whole bunch of Thunderbolts and Suicide Squad comics, I've got an itch to use a whole bunch of scenerios that won't fit in the planning of my skype campaign that I just started up.
For those unfamiliar with any of the references I made here's a summary: The main characters are criminals of varying degree that are thrown together as a black-ops team for a variety of missions that can't run through regular "heroes". Each successful mission shaves time off their sentences.
This will probably be a very short campaign running only 1-2 "arcs" before ending (preferably Awesomely) and will probably have a more comic book feel to it (obvious considering what inspired me). Also a better name for the campaign is pending (if you have a better name please tell me!).
So here are the guidelines if you are interested:

1.This is a pbp game. I am looking for people who post at least once per day.

2.This world uses the timeline and alternate rules listed in the campaign info. (PLEASE READ those before applying)

3.Your character starts off level 3 (20 pt buy, no traits) with NO gear or gold(you're in prison!) Core races are available, as well as alternate races with DM approval. All classes are available except for the gunslinger and it's archetypes. No third party stuff.

4. Backstories and Personality must be included in application. Backstories must include why you're in jail. A notes about alignments is that you don't necessarily have to be evil, but being good is rare in prison (hey people get framed). And almost always you're not Lawful. But if you can make it work in your backstory, more power to you.

5. Candidates will not be picked based on how brutal their crimes were but on how interesting their character is.

Any questions? Feel free to PM me!

And as always every night I don't get an applicant a very emo and high-pitched song gets made and distributed through Youtube.

Ok I am finished fleshing out my campaign, so recruitment can now official begin. For the interest thread and the DISCLAIMER, link is here: http://paizo.com/campaigns/v5748p75hohbl/recruiting

For the setting and the homebrew rules check out the Campaign Info

I will be attempting to run this through Skype and Maptools (unless I find something better) the timetable is looking like Wed or Thurs evening/late afternoon. However if interest is high enough and I get enough applicants I will also run a PBP game, same world different campaign so tell me which one you would prefer to do (you cannot play in both).

I am shooting for next Thursday as the start time meaning I'm probably going to cut off recruitment around Tuesday evening based on how many applicants I get.

Here are the rules for applicants
1. Standard 20 point buy with 2 traits, anything not listed on the pfsrd or third party has to run through me first. All core races are fine, non-core races once again have to run through me.
2. All classes are available except for the gunslinger and its archetypes. But there will be guns in the campaign so if that's not your thing sorry.
3. You will be allowed to use the Advance Race Play Test Book but you are limited to 10 points, standard and advanced traits and you must provide a GOOD BACKSTORY for your entire race (like why they weren't around in the past). I reserve the right to reject races.
4. I need backstory on your applications, that includes personality traits and a reason why your in Absalom (where the party is going to start).
5. I will also need your timezone and availablity (either to play or to post).

I think that's everything but if you have any questions or just want to criticize my grammar, spelling, homebrew rules, story, or any combination of the above please feel free to post it or pm me.

And as always every night I don't get a new applicant a 6 pack of beer dies.

So after trying to organize a local game (and failing miserably) I've decided to try and run an online homebrew game. I'll probably run it on maptools and skype on a Thursday (day and time is subject to change) unless I find something better or I discover maptools is impossible for me to use.

World will be homebrew and is most likely be Golarian after 200-250 years from present date, the Pathfinder Society has crumbled, technology has advanced, and empires have risen and fallen.

As for the rules:
1. While guns will be around and rampant in this scenario the gunslinger class and its archetypes will no longer be available. This also means I am tweaking the gun rules a lot (mainly for balancing issues and expansions of types of firearms) and advanced firearms will be available later on in the campaign.
2. All core rulebooks (APB, UC, etc. pretty much everything on the pfsrd) will be readily available to players, third party classes, races, etc. will have to be approved by me.
3. The Advance Race Guide playtest book can be used with the 10 point buy system with only Standard or Advanced traits but you must making a believable race (ex. don't make a race just to max out one class) and make the entire (or at least most of) the back story for the race (like why you didn't exist 200 years ago). As with the third party stuff I have to approve of the race before it can be finalized.

I must make a disclaimer saying I'm a fairly new GM (I've run some society games) and have never run a homebrew before. So if you get frustrated at mistakes made from inexperience this probably isn't the game for you.

This thread is mainly for interest because some of the rules aren't completely fleshed out but if you want to make a character, I'll accept your application just PM me with it.

Also as a guilt trip, every night I don't get a new applicant I cry myself to sleep.
