"Pretty sure I could fake a loadstone if a creature needed to be hit by one, but for a ritual I'm going to assume we need the real thing. 'Cmon, let's see if the children can figure out where to find these."

Harumi's Eyes flutter open. She feels aweful and close to death, but is somehow breathing. While she clearly just wants to climb in a hole and hide, she realizes that if she does, the thing might kill her if she flees. Reluctantly she determines to fight on.

"Yea . . . yeah, that's the center of all this weirdness alright. All the wierd teleportation effects? That's where it's all coming from."

"I'm worried . . . this . . . 'pocket dimension' we seem to be in for a lack of a better term seems to be more and more unstable the farther away we get from the first floor lobby. I would . . . suggest not disrupting it further before we find a way out."

"It's like these Kits have no concept that we are literally trapped in another dimention. Oh well . . . at least they pay attention . . . sometimes. Now that they are back in one place, let's see if we can finally get them working on getting us out of this mess."

She shivers momentarily.

Harumi twirls her priest's staff around before slamming it down on the ground with enough force that the vibrations make it all the way to the children's realm of existence.

"By the spirits I hope I was not as impertinent as a young one." she mutters.

"Oh come on, this is worse than hearding kogitsune. . . . I um . . . I . . . kits? Kits. Keeping these children in line is worse than hearding kits."

Harumi uses her lantern to flash the pathfinder hand symbol for the command 'stay' to the other children.

"Alright, let's go see what trouble those two have gotten into."

”I doubt the focuses, uh, foci? Focu-, sorry, Taldane isn’t my native language. I uh, I doubt the focuses are the things the kids need to find. At least I HOPE we don’t have to drag an owl bear statue anywhere.”

[ooc]Start searching for ‘focuses.’ Me and anyone that can see me gets +1 to perception with for things within 20’ of me that the lantern lights.

Harumi tries to take several breaths to calm herself down and wipes off some of the goo covering her fur. She's clearly not used to being neigh incorporeal and stuck in another dimension.

"Okay, so . . . okay. Failsafe. That could . . . that could mean that the gremlins were a failsafe. Or . . . or this entire situation with us out of sync is a failsafe somehow . . . or we need to activate a failsafe to fix this situation. That Goblin child seems to be quite knowledgable about the ins and outs of being a Pathfinder, maybe she'll know."

She will then follow the 'cooking group' back to the main hall.

@GM So 'Esoteric Lore' lets you: "You become trained in Esoteric Lore, a special lore skill that can be used to Recall Knowledge regarding haunts, curses, and creatures of any type [. . .]"

Up to you if our current prediciment is considered a 'curse' or 'haunt' type thing. Okay if not, just wanted to get an official word.

The Kitsune rubs the bridge of her nose.
"Okay, we need someone who's good at communicating with each of the three groups. Try to bring them back here. Maybe that involves helping them with their homework, I dunno. Also, we need someone who is good at dimensional stuff to figure out how this happened to us?

I'll Take Alric, I seem to have a rapport with him."

Identify Owlbear: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

The Kitsune walks over to the stuffed owlbear and examines it closely, looking at it from multiple angles. She's obviously still apprehensive about their whole ordeal, but seems to be getting better at setting things aside and focusing on the work.

"Apologizes . . . I'm not sure exactly . . . I'm not from this half of the world, but word reached Minkai about an emperor from Taldor . . . The first emperor I think. Staavian? Sutaabein? Someone the first. He had an owlbear companion with a curious mark on it's talon much like this one. I only recall because it is so rare to be able to tame such a beast. At any rate, there is only one plaque and one curiosity left so these two obviously go together."

Harumi takes a few deep breaths and tries to calm herself down. ”Calm down, everything will be fine. Focus on the problem, no need to panic.”

”Huh, that gemmed spiral thing I think is a bedazzled Narwall horn. Oh, I get it, that poem about moving through the seas is supposed to go to the Narwall horn.”

It is obvious she is trying to put the strangeness out of her mind as she focuses on the problem. It is still apparent she is nervous

Harumi will turn her magical lantern on full blast against a wall and use her other hand to put pathfinder signs in the light, trying to put it in the Goblin’s line of sight.

Harumi will start skimming the open books (assuming I can't turn the pages, but maybe I can figure out what the books are about.)

"We'd better follow the students. I doubt anything out here is the solution for our problem. Many pathfinder lodges have magic items, we might be able to jury-rig one of them to shift us back into reality."

Harumi will blink her magical lantern on and off several times trying to see if the magic light (actually can counteract magical darkness) can get the kids’ attention.

@GM I don’t actually have bardic lore, I have Esoteric Lore. Lets me recall knowledge on any CREATURE. I put it in the bardic lore area because that was the closest thing to what I have. I also have dubious knowledge (because this class is a nightmare for secret GM rolls)

"Why thank you for volunteering to help Alec. I've only been in the maze once before, and we went . . . well, quite a bit farther afield."

She then holds up her Minkai-style lantern which lights itself, producing a bright light within 20 feet. Strangly, the light from the lantern seems to throw everything into sharp recess, as if it is the perfect light to highlight the nature of everything within 20 feet.

All allies, including the teachers and kids, get +1 to perception checks made within the 20' lantern light.

"So . . . how are we going to get to the lodge? I'm not very familiar with this part of the world, but the journey to Gault should take . . . weeks at least, and I have hard rumors of . . . dangers in the winding paths of the maze."

An Orange Kitsune bearing a strange staff with jangaling rings on the end in one hand, and a strange foreign lantern in the other, bows fairly deeply.

”It is a pleasure to meet you, young masters. I am Yogenaha-oba. . . “she seems to catch herself some some reason, then starts again. ”Well, let’s just drop titles. My personal name is Harumi, and I am from Minkai. I haven’t had many adventures yet, though I did just get back from Arcadia helping a fey create heroes.”
