Yarsox busies himself during the trip pouring over the various reports and data, trying to glean what exactly happened during the evacution of the asteroid. He listens as Triage curses. "It's the way of things, sadly. Credits do the talking in the Pact."

Yarsox seals his Second Skin shut, activating the enviromental protections and activating the suit's lighting. His weapon is drawn as he nervously looks around the hopefully abandoned this facility.

"You know... I wonder if this is legal," he says nervously, waiting for someone else to take the lead.

Yarsox sits down on the ground in the aftermath of the battle, flicking the safety on his pistol and ejecting the half-used battery for later charging. "Everyone alive? I've got a medkit, probably not as good as Triage but I can help patch up if we need it."

When the Stewards arrive, Yarsox is more composed and standing up to greet them. "The area is secure. There definitely is plenty of evidence to impound this vessel, not least of which is transporting those." Yarsox points to the Akata corpses. "Honestly we're lucky you sent armed and trained Starfinders here. A smaller and less well-trained team would have probably just added to the problem."

Yarsox nods at his own assessment. "Several of us sustained injures needing medical attention, and we should probably all be treated with anti-parasitics given the... horrific way these creatures reproduce."

"A running fight might favour these things if they are this quick! Just focus our attacks on the yellow one first!" Yarsox calls as he fishes in a pocket and draws out the flashbang grenade they had found.

He then continues to try to harass the yellow akata.

It's a nightmare, these horrid things on his first real mission! His allies were already taking hits!

Yarsox splits his attention between both of the foes, trying to give enough supporting fire to scare the things, give his allies the edge. "Covering fire!!!" He says as he pulls the trigger twice, once at each.

Yarsox fumbles a little to draw out his pistol, his red skin seemingly pale. "I thought these kinds of things only showed up in horror vids!" He says nervously, bringing his pistol to bear on the yellow akata.

"Dangit, focus, focus." Yarsox mutters under his breath as he's unable to distract yellow.

Yarsox examines the scrawling argument on the wall with a bemused expression. "These are the same people that would claim that bureaucracy gets nothing done. If only they'd been a little more organized, maybe they could have hidden their illegal activities better from the Stewards and gotten away with it."

Yarsox flips his comm open to respond. "Maybe if you had an ounce of subtlety you could figure it out."

Yarsox sees the hostile ship barrelling down on the Pegasus and flips a few switches. "Hang on, this is gonna feel a bit weird!" He calls to the bridge as he suddenly fires all lateral thrusters, attempting to slide around the pirates.

As the ship smoothly slides on past the pirates, Yarsox gives an excited "WHOOP!"

"I've never done that one outside the Sim, I'm really glad I didn't crash right into them." he adds with pride.

Yarsox powers on the speed and slips between the two pirates, bringing the ship around to face the shield-less side of the yellow ship. "This should help line these pirates up! We've got this team, just gotta keep it together!"

"No time for tea right now! I'm a bit busy!" Yarsox calls across to Sashkri.

Yarsox powers ahead, hoping to outrange at least one of the pirate ships, trying to give their engineers time to patch the ship and the gunners a single target to shoot at. Right at the end he banks to bring the Pegasus's guns around to bear.

Yarsox suddenly begins flipping switches and piles on the throttle. Flying straight at the red pirate, engaging in a game of chicken that looks for a moment like Yarsox is planning on ramming their opponent.

Piloting for Flyby, DC15, Node: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10

Yarsox looses the game of chicken though, and has to swerve around Red, exposing the Pegasus to enemy fire.

Yarsox holds the stick tightly. It wasn't quite the same feeling as the hearing the hostile call in the SIM, and Yarsox can feel his hands trembling. But he remembers his training and glances at the Pegasus' weapons loadout. Just keep the pirates away from the rear of the ship and trust in your crew mates.

"This is your pilot speaking, we're in for some turbulence ahead, please fasten your seat belts and hold on!" he says over the ship's intercom as he begins juking the stick to take evasive action.

Yarsox is capable enough on his feet that he accepts Sashkri's challenge...

And he manages to not embarrass himself as he thought he might! "Well, I guess Starfinders footwork class stuck at least." He adds with a dorky grin.

On a preplanned evening, Yarsox assembles those who agreed to play his board game in the common room of the Pegasus with the table covered in a complicated looking setup. The board game comprises of managing the careers of fictional gladiators on Akiton to achieve the most fame.

It's a little intimidating to the new players at first, but Yarsox teaches with enthusiasm and makes sure the game is paced such that nobody falls behind.

During movie night, Yarsox is there happily watching with the occasional snarky comment. He has his crocheting needles and works away happily at his project, enjoying the company even the movies might not be his style.

Otherwise while not on-duty, Yarsox is seen reading his datapads or experimenting in the kitchen, to varying effect.

Yarsox smiles at the curious little creature and nods. "Yes, though you should be careful about asking people about their physiology, as there are those who might take offense. Tact is a good skill to learn. But if you really want to see it, I can do that for you." Yarsox says with a smile, following along with Kirkath.

Yarsox has packed:

  • a small collection of e-readers with various periodicals loaded on them.
  • his crocheting needles, yarn, and current project (a blanket)
  • An akitonian classic board-game with intricate rules that he will try to convince his crewmates to play with him.

    Striding into the room at precisely the time indicated they should arrive is a well-dressed Ikeshti man. He is wearing a nicely tailored suit, a pistol in a holster, and has a small rucksack which seems to be filled with tools. Only the slight shimmer on his skin and clothing reveals that he is wearing armour - a Second Skin.

    "Ah, you must be Charli Poshkettle, of Poshkettle Tea. Pleasure to meet you. You're a bit of a star around the Lorespire Complex, so I'm glad to put a face to the name." Yarsox bows graciously to Charli. "I am Yarsox. Greetings, fellow Starfinders." Yarsox then proceeds to bow to each of the other Starfinders present.

    In Character Questions

    Who are you, and what do you have to offer the party?
    Yarsox is an ikeshti envoy. He's an upstanding citizen, and when he is not busy being a Starfinder, he's a bureaucrat at the Akitonian consulate on Absalom Station, helping to administer the diplomacy required to keep the Pact Worlds together. He is a bit of a polymath, dabbling in the sciences, computers, hacking, and of course keeping up-to-date on any important cultural events.

    Out of combat, Yarsox can fill many of the major skill-monkey roles. In combat, Yarsox perfers to use his agility and cunning to distract enemies, setting up his allies for attacks.

    Any interesting back story?

    Nothing crazy here, Yarsox found himself embroiled in some Starfinder trouble on Akiton one day at the Hivemarket, and decided it was time that his services could be used elsewhere. Basing himself out of Absalom Station meant he could be a Starfinder and still serve his homeworld at the consulate.

    Yarsox will serve best as a Pilot, Engineer, or Science Officer, but would also do alright as a Captain.
