Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Played that one but please keep me in mind for other adventures.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Sam, if you don't have it the efficient quiver and blanch for arrows. A cheap way for cold, silver and andamantine ammunition.

Thanks all for a fun run.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Toss in 110 from me.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Will go with Samhaim. We get her out, Society gets to fix her.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy slaps his head and stops the spell due to xian warning.

Just before leaving takes look around for anything that could help or of value.

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Thanks for word on spell, Xian. New one for me and missed looking for the D.

I have also played those two.

Day job lawyer: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Folder reroll on day job
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

I would prefer to get my lower ones up also. Thanks for letting me on this one and learn the system. Had a great time.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Well lass guess it be time to take the wind out of ye sails for yours and ours safety.

Willy casts Suffocation. DC 19 Fortitude save. Staggered if save is made. Lasts 3 rounds. If not saved will stop the spell once she falls unconscious.

** Since I am gone when the rest of you are going, will post my next turn.

If no response for surrender will let loose with scorching rays. Two beams shoot forth from his hands.

touch attack #1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
touch attack #2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Scorching Ray #1: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 4) = 8
Scorching Ray #2: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 3) = 14

This scorching ray has bounce so if we find out Zahra Kadamizi is a traitor then please roll for me so the bounce goes to her.

If still up before I get back I will default to MM
Magic Missile: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 2, 4, 3, 4) + 5 = 20

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

** Sorry on east coast and get back late.

Willy levitates to top of cave.

Then yells, Surrender ye creature of water. We not looking for your destruction but only to rescue out fellow Pathfinder.

He thinks to Pietro, check out our Pathfinder friend and see why she acts as she does.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Spell Craft: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy activates his wrist sheath and pops out the Mage Armor wand and hits himself with it.

He then checks his knowledge planes for genies.

planes: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

**OMG a roll! Looking at what special defenses are then special attacks.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Well I am not promising much, lads but I will give a try getting rid of the trap.

Dispell: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Being below this ground seems to be affecting me spells.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Go to the door nearest to me and look in.

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Surrrrre your not. LOL

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy reminds them. "While six is safe and sound, four may find you buried underground." I am pretty sure it was only for the first room but caution is always good.

Then he checks for magic and if it is found will determine what type.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Don't forget the warning from the first room.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Yay, finally some decent rolls.

I have to travel tomorrow so will not be around until evening. Willy has 3 more MMs [Mnemonic Enhancer spell, found it is easier that way then trying to time the recovery part of the spell]so just keep firing away.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy fires up the MM spell again.

MM: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 4, 4) + 5 = 22

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

You are right I missed that when reading. Thanks for clarification.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

It requires a second save for the second round even if the first on only does half damage. That is the way I understand it.

He never made the second reflex save that I saw.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Darn it. My 5 MM's barely did more damage than Mordo's 3 MM's. Hopefully my rolls will improve.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Will looks if the elemental took any lingering damage from the Acid Spray. [See when I attacked before. He needed another reflex save or take more damage.]

Willy then backs up to his original position.

With a whirlwind of movements he sends out a barrage of magic missiles.
Magic Missile: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 1, 3) + 5 = 15

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Works for me.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy then raises or lowers the height of the carpet so his line is straight shot at the fire elemental without hitting his teammates.

Acid Spray: DC 19 reflex save for half. 9d6 Second round 4d6 if he misses a second reflex save no damage if save is good.

Acid Spray: 9d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 4, 1, 2, 1, 1, 3) = 23
2nd round left over acid: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 6) = 23

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

However I was never told I used my fly, levitate and telekinetic blast spells I could goof with him.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Most of my spells are fire based so we may be a bit mismatched.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy retreats back {see map}sending Peitro back another 40 feet.

Does a check to see how much he remembers about Fire Elementals.
Plane: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Will try and remember what special defences are, then weaknesses.

If mage armor is still active then gets ready to cast Acid Spray [line attack] if teammates clear out of way. If not renews mage armor.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Then lead us the way across. I will protect your back.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy thinks to himself, figgin' show off. ;)

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy pumps his legs and hops his butt along the carpet trying to get it to fly, with no success.
Well I must have been mistaken, that these were those flying carpets we saw back there in the room.
He stands up and goes to back to the back of the party and prepares a spell in case the naga makes a move to attack.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy takes a look, anticipating they are indeed flying carpets shown in the previous room. He lays one out and looks to see what would cause them to fly.

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
spellcraft: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

In a whisper... The carpets are likely the flying ones we missed in the other room. I fear that the flyers are dead due to the Naga be prepared.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy takes out the mage armor wand and gives himself a blast, then puts it away.
Well my fine friend, it seems we have caught you at a bad time, it being dinner time and all. We’ll just be steppin’ along now.
Oh by any chance did you see a wee lass come through this way?

Willy racks his brain to remember the eating habits of Naga’s and their young. Is it typical behavior or just a way to make sure only it’s descendents survive?
Dungeoneering : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy will jump across.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Note: Being a wind wizard if I fall I can levitate at will. At which point my familar will provide the motive force to get me across.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Please let me know if I expended any spells getting across the magma so I can mark them off.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

I can levitate one and fly one and blast one to the end if necessary.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

If we can’t fix the trap, there is another way. I can float down to the end of the hall, place a piton and rope in the wall. Then tie off the rope at this end and then pull yourself down to the next door. If you are not confident and pulling yourself down the rope let me know. I can levitate one person who can then pull themselves to the next door. If we can figure out which way it tilts we could just stabilize it with the rope or jam pitons in floor so it does not tilt.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Yes.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

We may be jumpy...but alive. ;)

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Well since I am not seeing her here then yes we will have to be going on. I meant no offense to Buho, just offering another means. Pathfinders come and go but I hate seeing the wee animals hurt. I could levitate the object to make it easier for him if he seems to be struggling. One thing to keep in mind is if there is one secret door there may be others. But let us let Buho fly, the longer we wait the worse it may be for Koor.
While the others debate Willy will go back to the other rooms and search for secret doors until he hears Buho is about to be released. Then he will come back to the doorway to aid the owl anyway he can.
One for each room as we found them.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

I could even cast Fly on myself or another if we want to spare the noble Buho.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

I like the idea of the owl but I hope he has the strength to fly with it. Indeed we could grab the thing now. However let me remind you we were to find our fellow Pathfinder and save if we can. We could just leave this for now, shut the door if you like, but search we still have to do.
I will leave it up to you and support the owl the best I can.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Be careful my friends. The air does not smell as if our fellow Pathfinder went this way. Look for signs/ tracks eh?
[/dice=Perception] 1d20 +13 [/dice]

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

I agree with my friend's assesstment.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Since the mosaic yielded no information, Willy tries his understanding of the magic and how to silence the alarm on the piece Mordo was looking at.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Willy makes some movements [casts detect magic] and lets Samhain know about the piece.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Keep an eye out for a forge as it is predominate in this place's history.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Coming to the mosaic Willy looks at the design. He will try to push in the piece that stuck out. If that does not work will he will use the piece to rotate the mosaic. If it does start to rotate will call the others over and we can figure what direction to move it in to open the secret door.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

Aye laddie, check it against fitting in a slot but do not put it in. But it looks like we are on our way. Then lets check the other doors. Or course after you look to make sure none of those nasty traps things are around.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard-Air/ LVL 9 |

We may also want to see if that one piece in the mosaic can be removed and it could be placed as one of the six pieces. Don't put it in but just see if it would fit. Then we would know what we were looking for and if we need 5 or 6 more pieces.
