Well let me tell ye what I be thinkin’ about this. First Mordo, please take the scroll back. If we be needin’ it I have faith you will know. I have never seen a Marid or Naga so the location scroll is of no use to me. Second, let’s take another look at the breastplate. Maybe it will give us a hint of where to go. While we be doing that perhaps our Ranger friend could see where Zahra might have gone. There could not have been many other folks down there and perchance he can see which door she used. Finally if all this fails maybe we open all the six doors at once, then the way maybe will be shown to us. And let me add this to our Naga knowledge.
Perception on Breastplate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Dungeoning Naga: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

At this point, perhaps we just assume we are all think-speaking through the faerie dragon?
Samhain nods at the Willy's suggestion and looks for tracks in the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (8) + 22 = 30
Tracking: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (6) + 25 = 31
Sad rolls...
He thinks back to Mordo as he looks, "I can disable it if we find it. I have been learning how as of late. Seems so few Pathfinders know how these days. It is best to ever be prepared."

Mordo tries to determine the effect of the abjuration magic, but finds nothing more than he already knew.
Willy remembers that certain nagas are immune to poison, but all varieties have poisonous bites!
Searching the room, Samhain finds no real tracks on the stone floor, but he does notice a secret door in the southern wall.

GM Tektite |

Samhain traces the edges of the door, but can't discern a way to open, thinking trying to bypass it would be most difficult. While examining the door, he notices on the opposite wall, the mosaic mural consists on thousands of tile. One tile in particular, has a hexagon shape and protrudes slightly from the wall.
While Samhain makes his in depth examination, the rest of the party notice that the ornamental doors in the east wall has a circular recess that can hold six wedge-shaped mosaic pieces. Unfortunately these
pieces are missing.

Perhaps we leave the double doors alone and check in each of the other six doors for pieces of the mosaic. We would need all six pieces to open the door and not just four. They should be placed at same time to prevent being buried by what I assumed to be sand.
Or perhaps one of us has a Knock spell? I myself did not think to prepare that one spell, which might be useful on such a secret door.

Sneaky? Yes. Locks? No, I have no training in that.

Taiko look at the other small chamber, hopind to find other mosaic's pieces.
Perception (take 10): 10 + 18 = 28
His friend Kyofuu always at his side.

Mordo will detect magic on the mosaic piece.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38
He will then detect magic on each door in turn a second time just to be safe.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (9) + 19 = 28
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32
I think we should leave the door with the protective magic on it until last. I am wary of opening such a door if we don't need to and perhaps the mosaic pieces will disable the magic.

Unless something eventful happens, Samhain goes from door to door (skipping the one others say is magical), keeping an eye out for anything as he peeks in to see what lies behind each.

Was that including the secret door we found? Or am I misunderstanding something. Assuming we already checked that door in the process:
Hmm, well it seems this protective magic lies beyond. I think we are safe in opening this door and it seems we have no other way to go right now.

![]() |

Ah, ok. Well I guess we just have to head through the last door radiating magic, right? Unless someone else has a suggestion.

Coming to the mosaic Willy looks at the design. He will try to push in the piece that stuck out. If that does not work will he will use the piece to rotate the mosaic. If it does start to rotate will call the others over and we can figure what direction to move it in to open the secret door.

GM Tektite |

We may need a way inside that secret door. The main door seems to have a space open, and the shield says six are needed, right? Sigh... We must be missing something.
Just to make sure we are clear here. You guys have five wedge shaped pieces from the five cells with doors, there is a sixth door that Mordo detected magic behind, the secret door, and the ornamental door that looks to hold six wedge shaped pieces in its blank space.

Samhain doesn't notice anything unusual.

Now that the piece is in plain sight, Mordo will try to determine more about the magical nature of this piece.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18
Perhaps it is radiating magic because it is the central piece or is set off by the others. The others do not need to be magical because this one senses their presence, perhaps.

If it is truly an alarm spell then entering close to it or disturbing it may alert someone to our presence. I prepared one dispelling spell today. If you wish, I can try to get rid of this alarm effect but it is not guaranteed to work.
dispel check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
DC = the DC of the spell
If it is a magic item, DC = 11 + the item's caster level (although it will only dispel it for 1d4 rounds-but we can run in there and grab it)

It seems to me there is nothing left but to put them in the door and move forward.
