The slippers can only be used for 10 minutes per day in 1 minute increments so they're not unlimited. Still, this seems like a good cause and I figured I only burnt one minute getting over the trap and another minute scouting. I'll give them to Sebastian to borrow for now.
Mordo hands his slippers over to Sebastian and hops down onto the pillars.

The rest of the party makes it across to the chamber. Following the corridor north, he obsidian passage leads to a large vaulted cavern where a series of jet glass stairs rise ten feet to a round platform. Thick mucus coat the chamber’s floor, on which lie several broken shells. A large mass of coils lies motionless at the stair’s base next to several rolled up, elaborately patterned rugs.
Xian Taiko |
Taiko asked the most knowledgeable person of the group Do you know what this mucus is or these mass of coils ?
Samhain Galanodel |
Samhain knows a little about everything. But apparently not enough.

Naga Sama, excuse us to disturb your sleep but we need your help in our quest. Can you help us ?

Willy O'Grady |
Willy takes out the mage armor wand and gives himself a blast, then puts it away.
Well my fine friend, it seems we have caught you at a bad time, it being dinner time and all. We’ll just be steppin’ along now.
Oh by any chance did you see a wee lass come through this way?
Willy racks his brain to remember the eating habits of Naga’s and their young. Is it typical behavior or just a way to make sure only it’s descendents survive?

Xian Taiko |
Please excuse us again to disturb your meal Naga Sama, I am Xian Taiko Is it usual to eat eggs for theses creature ? We're looking for a friend you seemed to have travelled here, a woman named Zahra Kadamizi, May be you see here or now of her presence in this town or may be do you have heard of Moukadeem, the Drowned Emir of the Ever-Thirsting Oasis ? As she search this old town for him ? And do you know how to navigate in the lava stream if we need to take this route to save our friend ?

The naga eyes Willy and Xian for moment. “No, I do not know anyone named Zahra.” Her tail begins to vibrate a bit as she answers the next question. "Moukadeem? He ravaged this area over 700 years ago, and his evil knows no bounds. He offers no mercy, and often torments his prey. Luckily he rots within an extra-dimensional prison that takes the form of an iron lamp.”
The naga does not answer Xian's last question, but quickly glances down at the rolled up, elaborately patterned rugs at the base of the stairs.
Xian Taiko |
Taiko followed the glance of the Naga and looked at the patterned rugs trying to find in them an answer to his question.
Xian Taiko |
Taiko took one of the rug, bowing to the mighty creature.
Can we borrow these from you Naga sama ? asked the Tian man.
Willy O'Grady |
Willy pumps his legs and hops his butt along the carpet trying to get it to fly, with no success.
Well I must have been mistaken, that these were those flying carpets we saw back there in the room.
He stands up and goes to back to the back of the party and prepares a spell in case the naga makes a move to attack.
Mordo Canta |
You were sitting on it backwards. Mordo informs Willy. Those are indeed flying carpets. To prove it, Mordo walks over and climbs on one himself and tries to fly.
Samhain Galanodel |
"When you fear being stabbed in the back, don't show your foe your back." Samhain moves to the carpets as well, never taking an eye off the naga. He grabs a carpet and pulls it back to relative safety.
"How does one cause one of these to function?"

Once everyone has gotten onto the flying carpets, they fly off to the west and south, the naga watching you leave with narrowed eyes. Heading west, the party quickly comes to a hairpin turn and begins moving south.
A burning river of molten magma bubbles and churns, surging ever forward, smoldering the edges of its obsidian shores. Globs of molten rock shoot skyward, only to splatter against the ceiling some 40 feet above. The resulting impact causes globules of magma and sharp debris fragments to cascade into the magma stream below. Two small beaches rest to the east and west of this section of the underground flow.
As the party moves down the tunnel, a huge creature composed of fire rears up from the magma!

Does a check to see how much he remembers about Fire Elementals.
Plane: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Will try and remember what special defences are, then weaknesses.

Mordo also flies back, casting a spell as he does so-casting out in the open because he is fairly certain this thing is not trained in magic.
Suddenly an equally large water elemental appears behind the beast of fire.
AC 8 to hit the water elemental. If it hits, DC 19 Will save to disbelieve the illusion. But because it is persistent, if it makes the first save you have to roll the save again and take the second result. On the off-chance that it made a spellcraft check to know what I was casting it doesn't automatically see through the illusion but gets a +4 on its Will save (and can just ignore it I suppose).
Figments are not mind-affecting, although I don't think that matters. I mostly use them to eat up attacks.
Mordo Canta |
Ok, so there's an elder water elemental behind it now. Or at least it thinks so. Clash of the titans!

Knowledge Planes: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Kyofuu recognise a Fire Elder Elemental and said to his master he can't use precision damage against it and that the creature has a high DR against all physical damages.
So Kyofuu flee the battle unable to help his master or do damages.
Taiko became invisible Swift action moved to attack the creature move action drawing his wakisashi then strike standard action
I can't do much against this creature!
