So sounds like theres a bit of confusion on this. I know I ran it at tier 5-6 and my table was basically pregens. I doubt that its the last time a Bonekeep 3 table is made up of pregens so it would be nice to be certain what we throw at them exactly.

A party of five to seven characters whose APL is between two subtiers must play the higher tier with the four-character adjustment.

Plus there isn't a 4 party adjustment from what I recall for this scenario.

Sovereign Court 3/5

I have ran all 3 parts of this now. None were as deadly as the first one was. The 2nd one was pretty mediocre and the 3rd just didn't feel like it could kill much of anything. The biggest flaw is coming from the maps designs. The 2nd one was a mess and the 1st and 3rd just bottle neck and cause things to boil down to 1v1 encounters most of the time.

...unless you GM an online game for a qualifying event. Just sayin'

Or organize a local gameday or con with at least 15 tables. Its easy, done it numerous times.

Sovereign Court 3/5

While the tier 1 and 2 slots fill up quickly they also commonly see drop outs. I had heard a number of tier 1s had to drop shortly before the event this year.

1-tiefling race boon

See a few there I would like. What are you looking for specifically?

Thanks. Just returned from Origins so I am moving into GenCon mode. Just wanted to be early rather then late.

Sovereign Court 3/5

Is there a Warhorn or somewhere that games are being listed? Or am I like way too early on this?

Sovereign Court 3/5

What if you have like 500 tables of credit? Can you just have all the boons on all PCs?

Sovereign Court 3/5

Illegal is a strong word but the line from the guide says all you get is a good time. Advancing a boon or otherwise seems like some sort of credit to me.

I can say with certainty, that was by design. It wasn't supposed to be easy to get the final boon, and it wasn't supposed to happen too much before a character could afford a tome of clear thought.

Could always find someone like me who has characters with credits from mods and APs.

Sovereign Court 3/5

To me no credit sounds like no credit for chronicle, boon, or otherwise.

If you run into an enemy wizard their spell book contents should be noted in the scenario. Feel free to ask your GM to find out what the NPC had.

Guess someones using their PP for a regeneration spell.

I highly suggest becoming immune to sickened or picking a different boon.

The one you explained there is the Shard of Greed, not the Shard of Pride. Greed requires you to be very lavish or be sick. Pride requires you to not follow orders or be sick. I am in a home game of this AP and use the boons in society so I am rather familiar with the shards and their workings.

Sovereign Court 3/5

I have played a wide range of scenarios over the years and gotten some of the boons from playing X scenario and honestly I never recall to use them. The boons are nice but my chances of recalling to use them when the situation arrives is low. I can not think I am the only one who runs into this issue.

When I started society I made a very Taldan character who cared nothing for society and was using it to fulfill his gnomish need for adventure and to better Taldor. I saw over time how much my derailing of games to find my magical tea set was ruining the flow of the scenarios. I then dialed it back as much as I could but old faction missions still required you to steal the spotlight.

It also always struck me as weird when a scenario started with you being whisked away to some mission in the night yet your faction head knew about the rare purple fungus that grows in the place you found out seconds ago you were headed to. The missions a lot of times felt tacked on because they had to be there.

You are a Pathfinder. Your missions is what your Venture Captain tells you it is. If there is a chance you can help further the goals of the secondary group you ally yourself with then have at it and maybe it will confer an extra bonus to you. You can not expect that every mission you go on to have something for your faction.

Each player should be responsible for knowing what it is their faction is trying to do this season. It is in the guide, on the forums, and emailed to the account used for your Paizo account. The guide is required reading and even so the higher ups do their damnedest to make it easy to know your faction goals. I see no failure on the end of Mike and John. If a faction mission is missed then either the player failed or the GM failed to communicate something.

Sovereign Court 3/5

Some of the other shards allow a save vs certain penalties but that is not one of them. Pride will always give a penalty to a Pathfinder as it is currently written.

Sovereign Court 3/5

I knew it was a long shot but thought id ask. If no GM steps up soon probably just call this a wash.

Sovereign Court 3/5

I know its short notice but was wondering if anyone wanted to try and get something put together for New Years Day during the middle of the day.

Sovereign Court 3/5

For as long as the community feels that offering something at a con and not at a local gameday, even temporarily, is punishing the gamedays we will not really see any more con-exclusive material.

I don't really have a list of people I want to play with, really its just any of my friends.

I more want to play certain games run by people. Like I want to play The Confirmation with Mr. Baird running it or playing at a table with Jim Groves with anything he wrote.

Sovereign Court 3/5

The only way I will put a character to paper is if I feel they have a proper fleshed out story. The character can not be Fighter #34563321 just so I have character to use. They gotta be

Rohender, old adventuring partner of Drandle Dreng from Ustalav who retired to be a gravekeeper back in his homeland. Was brought out of retirement by request to address the rising issue of Aspis and Shadow Lodge agents (back when they were a bad guy) running amok. Has since stuck around to continue to ensure enemies such as those are kept in check.

He is a beast master ranger with favored enemies of human and undead. His animal companions are a rhino who does most of the heavy hitting and a bat he befriend to use for scouting and to combat his inability to see in darkness.

I may flesh out the back story a little more as I go but a strong base needs to be there before I start rolling with the toon.

I heard you must sacrifice a 5 star GM to Mike in order for him to honor you with one. So better move quick before they catch on. I will be hunting the ancient 5 star know as Doug to earn my boon.

Sovereign Court 3/5

Really the question is more abstract then that. Ask 10 different people the question of "Is she pretty?" and you'll probably get ten different answers.

The lady that is bonekeep is something of a special one. She provides a certain challenge to players who have been asking for it while providing a solid reward for the hard work you may have done. There will be those people who say "Eh shes too tall" or "I'm not a fan of blondes" but there will be others that find her just perfect. For an abstract question you must expect a variety of answers.

Sovereign Court 3/5

It's all thanks to people like you Doug. As well as all my other coordinators Dennis Wheelock, Alex McGuire, Don Bodus, Dylan Wilson, William Jones, and anyone else I am forgetting. You guys are the ones week after week putting games together and keeping things moving forward.

Sovereign Court 3/5

Glad to see it finally happened Eric

Sovereign Court 3/5

Over the past year my priorities and schedule have shifted around. Due to this I know I can not give the VC position the attention it needs. So as of today I am demoting myself to VL and just focusing on helping a few local stores. So I will still be involved just on a lesser scale. This does kinda leave Michigan without a VC but I've heard a number of people have already applied and hopefully that all goes through quickly.

Sovereign Court 3/5

I am still unclear how this changes their cost. Do you divide the usual weapon enhancement cost by 5? so a +1 batch of 10 arrows goes to 400 gold?

My suggestion for enhancement would be holy. It is expensive but it cuts through a lot of DR you'll be seeing going forward and so many enemies or some sort of evil.

For an Alchemist the conductive property could be really good. I also like limning to get rid of those pesky magical concealments. If you want to be selfish you could always go with seeking.

I am interested in Extra Hours.

I have most of the Holiday Boons that I am willing to trade 2:1 for.

Most of the holiday boons need to be applied during a certain time period. So old ones have no purpose other then to be a reminder of what you could have had.

My characters are a mix. My Grand Lodge ranger would probably put society within the top 2 or possibly tied with him and his animal companions well being. Where as my bard could care little for society. It is just so he doesn't bleach and gets the chance to yell at people.

It would be really interesting seeing risk/reward situations implemented that helps either you, your faction, or society but only one.

Still looking for a a number of GMs for this event and got a great variety of slots open still. its only 3 slots for a badge and 5 slots lets you play 2 slots for free. We have the recent special that debuted at GenCon and need a few more GMs for that.

What, aside from other boons, would you be willing to trade for?

Do what I did, Have a friend with a boon and ask for it.

I personally am offering other Paizo product I have accumulated over the years. You can as hotsauceman and ask a con going friend for some boons. Also any gameday with at least 15 tables scheduled can get boon support. Just talk to your local VC for more information on that.
