![]() I am assuming that Vipera would have the wand of cure light wounds from Janira's pack, as I don't think anyone else can use it. If I can get to Janira in time, I can try to heal her. Also, if that minotaur's within 30 feet, I can land my hypnotic stare, which will give it a -2 to its Will Saves. Seeing the halfling felled by the minotaur's axe, Vipera pulls her wand of healing from her boot and dashes forward. She stops about ten feet from the stream and gets ready to make a running jump across the river. Move to draw a wand, then moving in place. If nothing else changes, Vipera will try to jump across the stream next round and move to heal Janira. ![]()

![]() Sorry Ruzz, I'm a little cranky at how long this fight has been taking and that it seems like we've mostly been getting in each other's way during this fight. In hindsight, it would have made sense to start the fight just letting the brainless undead come to us so we could focus fire, getting flanking bonuses, and etc. I have an okay UMD, but unfortunately, I can't use my wand anymore today because of that 1 I rolled. I'm fine with Yaerstenn using my wand and then I could still use the partially charged one in Janira's pack. That would give us two people that would have access to healing if we needed it in a pinch. Let's not forget about the items in that bag! Ruzz would benefit the most from that scroll of mage armor, but if he doesn't want it someone else might as well us it. Six hours will probably last the rest of the scenario. The potion of barkskin will last 30 minutes, so that could last one or two fights and that potion of feather step would probably be a nice thing for Urushi to have in case we run into difficult terrain. I want at least one alchemist fire, but I'd be willing to take both and the acid flask if we need it. Not sure why Ruzz wouldn't want that pearl of power, considering that he is the only prepared caster here and he used up grease and burning hands...Interestingly he is also the only one who would be able to identify it. Neither Vipera nor Yaersten have Spellcraft as a skill. ![]()

Btw, I thought our plan was to lure the undead down the hallway so we can use the terrain to our advantage. We just need to hope that skeleton doesn't get lucky and that those mindless zombies that can't reach us because of the bottleneck won't take actions attacking an unconscious foe. ![]() when I GM I don't allow past session knowledge's to count. I do consider certain creatures to be "common" though, which often makes the knowledge DC low enough to try untrained. I get that people have different ideas on tactics and what risks are worth taking. I get that your AC will probably protect Urushi, but it might not. The skellie might also be able attack with it's claw also, so that's two chances to take you down. If everyone wants me take the action back and the GM would be fine with that, then I will change my action. I think it would be fair to make me reroll my UMD though, as that's not something that would happen until the readied action goes off. Meaning I could move up and no healing at all would happen. Also a factor into why I chose the action I did, BTW. I didn't want to clog the hallway up if my wand sputtered. ![]()

Cyan, I considered your plan and the current situation and I think the more straight forward approach of just getting to Urushi and healing him would be a better idea. Urashi is at 2 hp and that skeleton gets to act right before him. There's a good chance he will go down if it lands a hit. Plus, if the skeleton takes him down, then its next logical action would be to move down the corridor and we wouldn't have a way to get to him. He won't be able to five foot step on his turn, but he still has the option of withdrawing safely. From the look of the map, there is some cave wall between Urushi and the purple zombie right now. Urushi and the zombie should have cover relative to each other. That wouldn't have kept him from being hit last round, but it does mean the bottle neck would begin in the square immediately behind Urushi. I can hold the tunnel for one round and frankly, I'm more expendable then him right now. Sorry, I know that throws a wrench in your turn, but I don't like the odds of hoping the skeleton will miss. Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 Vipera shakes the wand into her hand in an imitation of Sarenrae ritual. The wand glows in her hand with soft glowing light as she darts towards Urushi. ![]() Not trying to be needlessly couragous here. The crowded conditions were really limiting where I could move. I don't remember how people were positioned exactly, but withdrawing only protects you from the first square of movement and you can't five foot into a square occupied by an ally, so one of those things probably factored into what I did. ![]()
