Vasco also perks up at the mention of an imp, cawing angrily and bouncing up and down on the wizard's shoulder. Naberius reaches over the caress the raven's scarred wing, muttering something soothing to his familiar.

Vasco flits through the courtyard without much effort, perching on Mera's shoulder to await his less than graceful master.
Vasco hops around on the floor pecking at discarded scraps of food, blissfully unconcerned by the intricacies of human interaction.
Vasco flies in after the party, slipping through the front doors as they are being opened for another group of glittery humans. He flits over the sea of shinies, perching up in the rafters to wonder at the multitude of baubles on display.
Vasco croaks loudly in greeting, flying down from the rafters to meet his master. Sensing the wizard's anxiety, the raven starts grooming his new suit, earning himself an absent-minded head rub.
As the curtain rises again, you see that the stage is now being littered with brooches, chains, coins, gems, and other pieces of jewelry. Vasco dives down from the rafters, landing admidst the all the glittering valuables. The raven hops around in the sea of precious baubles, beside himself with bliss. He intermittently picks up this or that shiny thing, only to drop it as he finds something better mere inches away.
The mystery man enters the building next to the alley through a rear door. On the front of the building is scrawled, 'Mother Kass' Boarding House - Private rooms!' Vasco makes an effort to try and find a window from which he could see the bright-plumed man, but finds himself thwarted by the incomprehensible human construction. He does his best to memorise the name of the establishment (one letter at a time) before flying back to the theatre.
Should we go after one?
Vasco lands on Monday's shoulder, hastily gobbling down an indistinct hunk of meat. After finishing his meal, he quorks, "Caw! You follow Meanface, and Vasco follows Moneybags! Yes?" The raven bobs his head excitedly, as if to congratulate himself for coming up with such an ingenious plan. Master would be proud!
At Naberius' empathic signal, Vasco sets off from the roof of the theatre and tries to shadow Thesing once more...
Vasco flies off after the mean human, dead set on tracking him to wherever he is going. At a crucial moment, however, the raven is distracted by something shiny and loses track of his prey.
Vasco hops up and down with excitement at the prospect of being given a mission, having found all the talking in the last few days to be dreadfully boring.
Vasco greets the lumpy human with a subdued croon, trying to be at his best behaviour.
Blissfully unaware about human social issues, Vasco starts pecking at the seeds with a joyous squawk.
Vasco caws excitedly and hops around on the table.
Vasco flutters down from the rafters to sit on Naberius' shoulder, happy to get out of the cramped indoors. Well, cramped for a raven.
Vasco flutters over to peck at the shiny pebble.
Instantly revitalised by Monday's magic, Vasco lets out a loud croak and bobs his head at her excitedly. He sets off, flying a lap around the room before settling near the two women again, and hops over to investigate the body of the big tiefling for shiny baubles.
The raven stays on Mera's shoulder as she leaves, clearly too weak to fly anywhere...
At Naberius' urging, Vasco flutters after Mera and settles on her shoulder, stumbling as he does so. "Caw! Get that bastard!" he croaks weakly, parroting the singer's previous statement.
Vasco keeps hurling insults into the room, while attempting to use his keen senses to detect the cowardly tiefling.
Vasco flutters his wings as menacingly as he can. The raven parrots his master's mocking tone, screeching, "Caw! No escape! No escape!"
Vasco flies over to the tieflings, and looks for shinies.
Vasco screams from his master's shoulder, "Caw! Fiendlings! Hell's rejects! Overgrown imps! Your mother was a goat!" The raven goes on like this, fluttering his wings and continuing to spew expletives at the tieflings while they still stand.
Vasco makes his way up to the top of the tower, and relays the message to his master, more or less accurately. He will stay up at the top and keep watch until the others have reached the building. When they do, he flutters down to sit on Naberius' shoulder.
Vasco accompanies Raveen on his climb.
"Caw! You can have them. I'm not hungry."
Narrowing her eyes in interested thought she waits a momemt before stepping up after Naberius, gently resting up against him as she pours herself another glass. Taking a sip she'll then raise the glass up to Vasco. Tilting his head at the offered vessel, Vasco quickly dips his beak in the drink when he thinks Naberius is not watching. He makes an odd sneezing sound, almost falling off his master's shoulder.
Thoroughly confused, Vasco looks after his master, then back to Monday. He tilts his head questioningly, only barely visible in the shafts moonlight shining through the boarded up windows.
Vasco seems confused about the pieces of paper Raveen is having drawn. He tilts his head at the posters. If he could furrow his brow, that is probably what the raven would be doing. "Vasco, please go ahead and join with your master. I have something I must attend to. You were very helpful," he said, petting the raven. Vasco caws happily, and takes flight. It had been a long day, and he was hungry. He makes his way to the temple, roosting on the roof until someone opens the door so he can slink in.
The ones we defeated, then? Vasco shakes his head from side to side in an oddly humanlike gesture.
"Bad men--the Hellknights? The Rackers?" he asked. The bird hesitates for a moment, before answering, "Yes... No! The ones with horns!"
Vasco enjoys the praise, flapping his wings and puffing his chest.
Shifting his weight on Raveen's shoulder, Vasco once again pauses to think what he should say. Faceman seemed nice, but master always told the raven that he was too trusting. Still, maybe Faceman could help master... Lowering his voice to a hoarse whisper, Vasco explains, "Bad men want to take master away, but master has done nothing wrong! Caw! Unfair, unfair!"
"Imps?" he asked. Vasco croaks again, affirmingly. He is clearly not fond of the little devils.
The raven follows the pen intently. Seeing it dissappear down Raveen's sleeve, he caws loudly and bobs his head up and down, as if pointing to the man's hands with his beak. "Caw! Tricks!" he croaks triumphantly, "Sleight of hand! Legerdemain! Prestidigitation!"
Vasco seems quite comfortable being handled by Raveen, perhaps sensing his familiarity.
The raven puffs his little chest with pride, and gobbles down the offered candy. It takes a little time for him to work out what he is and is not allowed to tell. Finally he croaks, "Caw! Imps! Master saved Vasco! Imps tried to take his wings, but master drove them gone with magic. Made Vasco's wings good again..." He pauses to think for a while, before correcting himself, "...better, made wings better again. Master is a good man." Vasco congratulates himself mentally for the proper use of the comparative. Master would be proud!
Vasco circles down, but to his disappointment finds no fanfare, not even one of the humans rushing to congratulate him on his crucial contribution to the battle. Seeing that his master is busy dealing with the other humans, he lands on Raveen's shoulder as the man leaves towards the city. He announces his arrival by croaking, "Ca-caaw! Four eyes are better than two!" The scarred raven tilts his head at the masked vigilante, and caws, "Did I do good, Faceman?"
"Caw! I'll come with!"
"Caw! Thanks boss!"
Acting as he had been instructed, Vasco circles above the wagon as it arrives. The raven waits until the cart is released before dropping his own thunderstone on the Hellknights below, aiming for the center of the formation. He knows that the most important humans tend to position themselves in the middle of the flock.
Vasco squawks in delight, though he stops to look to Naberius for acceptance. As the wizard nods, the raven snatches an offered rock. It takes all his willpower not to peck on the shiny veins on the side of the dangerous pebble.
Vasco has temporarily taken residence on Monday's shoulder, hoping that she might have stowed away some treats from breakfast. The raven seems to sense the anxiousness of the coming battle, and tries to remain a bit more inconspicuous on the way to the ambush spot. As inconspicuous as one can be, being a talking raven.
"Seeing doesn't mean anything if you can't grab it!" she playfully teases as she hurriedly scoops up the rest of the leftovers before periodically throwing pieces to the bird. After some ruffling of feathers, Vasco quickly forgets his outrage and enthusiastically starts playing with Monday, hopping around the woman and trying to snatch the morsels before they hit the table.
Vasco occupies himself with catching whatever scraps fall off the table. The gravity of the situation definitely seems to be lost on the raven as he happily hops and flaps around the negotiations. As Naberius quietly seethes, Vasco takes objection to Monday preying on the wizard's leftovers, loudly proclaiming "Caw! I saw that first!"
Vitti – Male human – Has green hair and seems to be busy carving wood when otherwise not engaged. Speaks with a chelish accent.Can we make a check to divine the abilities of the characters of this place? Vitti ignores all of you and keeps busy with his wood carving. The only one he seems to pay any attention to is Vasco. Looking up from his woodcarving every so often and letting out a ‘Kaw’ at the bird. Everytime the bird answers back Vitti whistles and claps and flaps his arms! "Ca-Caaw! Dibs on green-hair! He makes a good raven!"
Vitti ignores all of you and keeps busy with his wood carving. The only one he seems to pay any attention to is Vasco. Looking up from his woodcarving every so often and letting out a ‘Kaw’ at the bird. Vasco returns the favor, cawing back at the green-haired man and roosting somewhere nearby to watch him work. The raven's intelligence is apparent in the way it tilts its head to follow the man's hands.
Finally free of the cramped tunnels, Vasco stretches his wings and flies up onto the rafters. First the raven occupies himself with grooming his feathers, and then goes to look for food. His favorite prey are unattended plates.
Seeing a chance to get back to his master, Vasco flies in after Morosino before the door swings back shut. He settles on Naberius' shoulder before he starts climbing down the trap door. The raven croaks with a panicked voice, "Caw! Armed and armored! Drawn and quartered! Every man for himself!"
"Caw! Chicks dig scars!"
Meet Vasco, the most suspicious raven in Westcrown! At least according to the dice... :P
Vasco finds a comfortable spot on the roof of the building, dutifully setting its gaze on the street below. The raven does not fully comprehend his master's anxiety, but he can sense it clearly enough.
