World Of Alessia, for Starfinder RPG
The world of Alessia is a world of high fantasy that combines Wuxia, science fiction, and magic-driven technology. It is a massive world where magic and technology coexist, impacting every aspect of life, from the Healing Houses of Sillias to the great Towers of Xin. It is a land where Fyrean Genies meet with with Asrian Wardens and The Gangs of Khatu push their Drifters across the desert sands, seeking resources and victims of every kind.
Alessia is a world where the gods, in an act of unification, merged into a singular pantheon – forming The Path of Light. It is a land where medical advancements, evolution, and ki energy form not only a methodology to achieve progress, but instead form a way of life. For the people of Alessia, the path to success is girded with honor, hard work, bravery, and a I need to do the good.
Alessia is a land at the height of its glory, held aloft by the Four Pillars of Light - Mercy, Truth, Hope, and Courage. It’s churches largely unified and the clergy working in unison, the people of Alessia enjoy what others think is only an illusion - a slowly blossoming utopia. But Alessia is not without its challenges. Having suffered an ecological disaster that would have ended smaller planets, it’s taken the people of Alessia nearly a thousand years to pull themselves up from the viscera of the War of the Sovereigns; from the decaying Galgaræ to the Shadows of Venn, the once vanquished forces of darkness creep again, slowly pushing against the Ring of Heaven, hoping to find purchase in Alessia once more.
Today, the Empire of Xian and its Imperial Peacekeepers stand the watch, fulfilling their ancient compact with the citizens of Alessia. Working in unison with most of the Path of Light, these two forces have set out to keep Alessia safe, sound, and a bastion of hope for another millennium - no matter what.

Final day of Thunderscape KS and we have almost broken all of the stretch goals! Lets make the last few happen also! Fifth new core class is almost here! :)

Jadeite wrote: Considering that we already passed 11k and have 21 days to go, will 20k really be the final stretch goal? When we clear that in a week, they have to make new ones.. :). Progress seems to be around 1k a day now.. So we will propably hit around 30-35k..
If we could hit 350 backers and average of 90 per backer it would be quite possible.. Double our current backers and one 15€ addon that everyone wants and we are there.. ;)
Pledged! Thunderscape sounds really amazing! I think i remember seeing the game in store when I was a little boy, the first ad&d game i played was the "gateway to the savage frontier". I still have the gold box somewhere in storage.
Im hoping we will hit the18k stretch goal soon, so we get the 6path adventure pack and you guys have to make new stretch goals beyond 20k!
Everyone lets make this happen! :D

(Think Doctor Doom in Rise of the Silver Surfer as a modern example.) i can't think of an iconic villain who has turned on his onetime allies more than Doctor Doom, i am almost certain that most of the grognards on this messageboard would classify Doc Doom as Lawful Evil. Besides Darth Vader, i cant imagine a more iconic villain to fit the bill of that alignment. Darth Vader, Great example of Evil villain. What Vader wanted was power to prevent those he loved from harm/dying. That led to quest for more power which led to siding with the evil Sith which led to him killing women and children and even killing his former friends.
But than at the end he killed evil emperor and saved his son.
I think "some" Characters that are labeled with "Evil" alignment could just be little misguided or doing wrong/evil things for goals they think in the end are better/good. And than they might at the right time for right people actually do good things.
=)
I havent checked the Licence info of 4th Edition so I dont know how that works.
But What I would like to ask people is this.
Even though I like the Pathfinder Universe more than the 4th Edition,
that doesnt mean that everything in 4th Edition is crap.
Post something you think are good in 4th Edition or what were bad about 3/3.5 Edition and
what would you like maybe to see from those in Pathfinder? Or what you like that Pathfinder changed from that in 3/3.5?
1. I for one Like the new race Dragonborn in 4th, so awesome!!. x)
Maybe somewhere in the future we will see a variant of Dragonmen in Pathfinder universe.
2. From the previews I like the new Alignment system in 4th Ed., dont know if it works better than current, but maybe..
3. Goblins from First Adventure of Runelords!! I never used goblins in my DnD games, I always liked kobolds better.
But Goblins in Pathfinder were great!.
James Jacobs wrote: One other thing to note, of course... Seltyiel will be statted up during Second Darkness, which is a 3.5 product. We won't be doing PF RPG stats for him at LEAST until August of 2009... and I suspect he'll have to wait even longer than that.
Also: although they're showing up as the pregenerated characters for Second Darkness, Lini, Seltyiel, Amiri, and Sajan were not chosen or designed to make a "perfect group" for that campaign. They just happened to be the final four who need stat blocks. Once we start up AP4 in February 2009, we'll have all 12 iconics to pick from for the first time, and that'll be the first chance we get to customize the type of characters chosen for the type of campaign AP4 will be.
How about putting out a poll for 12 favorite iconics, and maybe choose the top 2 as members of AP4 that way the last 2 can be used to make sort of perfect group.. =).
Maybe when you PF RPG stat them you can also broaden their backstory a little more / or future goals with some PF RPG Feats.
I think someone posted that there was gonna be a Demigod as a Monster in one of the future Pathfinder Modules (Second Darkness Line, think), maybe that will have more info about becoming one.
=)

It's level 1. He'll start out as a single class character and will become a multiclass character as his level increases.
Keep in mind that Second Darkness doesn't have to start with the descent into the underdark.. it could.. but it likely won't. Shame, but you are propably right.
I hope he starts as Sorcerer, but since he is more melee based, he most like is Fighter first.
What I understand from Second Darkness Chapter 1: "Shadow in the Sky", is that it start from Riddleport. I dont have my Gazeteer yet, so you guys that already have it. Can you tell me, what sort of place is it? Bigger than Sandpoint, I imagine.
SirUrza wrote: I don't see age correlating with level at all. Why? Because you can play an adventure (like Rise of the Runelords) from level 1-15 in less then a years time.
Level 1 means you've stopped being a civilian. It doesn't matter what your age is.. look at Ezren, he's old and crusty, missing a finger, and he JUST started his path of Wizardry.
True!
If you start thinking about age too much, you get to problems like, Elves starting their adventure lives at age 100+, they say Elves take time to mature and do things they way, but than when they start adventure they go from level 1 -> 18 in 2 years. Its like what the heck are they doing those 100 years.. This would suggest that teaching methods of Elves and all other longlived races are like teaching the dumbest people on the world. With Elves I think it goes like this, everyday a teacher teaches one word and lets them ponder that for few days..
Anyway, I think Age to Level charts should be House rules for each group who wants to use it,not something to be put into published book.
But if enough people want it, I will bow down to it.
=)

I think this is one of the reasons Pathfinder RPG is gonna rock!
I think there was a Noble Class in 3rd Ed. Dragonlance book, have to check this, updating later.
But yours looks nicet though, I like the idea of one of the players having or being Noble or of Nobleblood, altough I would propably only have like First Level of Noble/Aristocrat and than go to Other Classes to signify his birth and uprising but now that he is a adventurer his Noble days are over. Or do his Noble background with few Feats.
But I know people who love Idea of Noble characters so keep adding and polishing this.
=)
I think this "wonderfully morally ambiguous group" like Saurstalk said is gonna fit totally right into the Second Darkness, What would motivate even evil character to fight in the side of good is that when someone more Evil wants to do something that will stand in their way. Drows are so much more Evil and If I got the Second Darkness plotline right, their goal is to destroy the whole Golarion, right? I dont think even Seltyiel wants that.
Also while we are on the subject of Alignments, I think that even if we have a Neutral Evil character who only thinks of himself we have to think what his goals are. Seltyiel wants power and riches, why does he want power and riches so he can have revenge on his Fathers.
He doesnt want to rule the world or destroy it, he wants revenge on a few ppl who might even deserve it.
And if people at Paizo write the story right, I think his best chance to get riches and power is to help his fellow iconics, and also if the world gets destroyed, how is he gonna get revenge, noway are some drows gonna take that away from him. =)
Anyway, just my opinion.
If they dont publish more iconics I hope they will start again with Seoni and others, because Seoni just RULEZ!. =)
Or take the existing iconics and mix them a little.
My personal favorite team would propably be now with Seltyiel shown something like this.
- Seoni, Amiri, Lini/Kyra and Merisiel/Seltyiel.
x)
The thing about whispers made me think about Warlock class or maybe Sorcerer Bloodline (Infernal), and the picture about Fire Imp/Quasit could support that. The book could be only about skill training and maybe path to manifest his latent Sorcerer power.
Hopefully we will soon hear the official line from Pathfinder.
Yes, gotta give Wayne Reynolds high praise for another great artwork.
Quite easy way to fix this is to use Practiced Spellcaster Feat, I think it was in Complete Arcane book.. Its not a complete fix but with some right/nice prestige class and with a loss of 1 feat, spellcasters spells wont suffer that much.
=).
Still I hope that guys at Pathfinder will put their own touch to multiclass idea..
He does indeed look and sound great addition to iconics..
Only thing that I found little strange was that in the blogs they said he was gonna be Fighter / Sorcerer but from the backstory I got the idea that he was more of a Fighter or Rogue / Wizard, with the spellbook and brigand camp.. But maybe that was just me.. Anyway Great Story / Character Pathfinder guys!!, Give more multiclass iconics!!..
=)
I think he looks great, backstory sounds like you said a little evilly (Elric / Raistlin). I personally loved those characters so I have high hopes for Seltyiel, Still I hope he will show some heroic/good sides of himself with his fellow iconic partymembers.
I thought they said he was gonna be Fighter / Sorcerer, but the backstory about the book and brigand camp made him seem more like Rogue / Wizard maybe.. And what about those whispers, there's more to this guy than we are told I think..
=)
What about putting a Feat into the game that gives Cleric a Cure Minor Wounds as a 0-level spell, so they can use it at-will. Not every NPC cleric is gonna have that feat or maybe make it require 2/3 Character Level as PreQ.
Or maybe like 5 per day cast or something like that.
Another awesome Iconic, Now next a pictures of Lini riding that Cat, blasting some monsters and some Lightning on the backgroud.
:)
Damn, now I can't wait till the Gazeteer arrives already..
=).
Hopefully when Pathfinder grows, they will go more into details,
an adventure into that area might be good opportunity to broaden the area and show more information.
James Jacobs wrote: Timespike wrote: If you do it, it would be cool to pick up where Rise of the Runelords left off. Let the PCs pick up from the point where they're standing over Karzoug's corpse. That's certainly one option... but remember that by the time we'll get to even seriously considering something like an Epic adventure path... there'll be several other APs who might need or justify sequels as well... Fighting rest of the awakening Runelords would be so awesome!.
Also other APs would make nice epic sequels, but Runelords.. .. .
x)
Also it would be nice to see all iconics/player characters grow more, maybe some cosmetic changes to show the epic feel. (Seoni's tattoos glowing, etc..)
:)
I personally love Dragons, so I was wondering if there's gonna be more info about them (In Pathfinder Universe) in the Future?
(Meaning more than what was in Guardian's of Dragonfall or Rise of the Runelords : Fortress of Stone Giants.)
It would be nice if there was a group of Dragons who had established a Empire/Kingdom where people/races worshipped Apsu. (I know it sounds a lot like Argonesse in Eberron, But maybe Pathfinder guys can come up with something new and exciting for Pathfinder.).
Golarion is a big place and there are many places that could still exist outside current map.
Anyone have good ideas, please post them here!!!
:)
Finally!! More info about Elves! Any ideas who are writing this one?
Hopefully Lots of nice Elven styled Artwork inside.
Is there gonna Be Info about Elven Gods or is that in Gods & Magic?
=)
Another vote for SKR! This product is gonna rock!
