Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
I am very sad to have to post this.
Some of you may have noticed that I have been posting progressively less frequently during the past month or two, and not paying strict attention to others' posts when I do. During that time, a slew of factors have been turning up in my life, conspiring to prevent me from logging onto paizo.com, or spending much time on it when I do. Therefore, I have decided to quit all PBPs in which I've been participating. Please believe me when I say that I'm not happy about this, and that I haven't made this decision on a whim.
Perhaps someone else can play my character until he can be neatly written out. Handle it however you like. I hope that the rest of you have a fun game. Maybe one day, my life will get back to normal and I'll check in to see how you're all doing in the game.
Until then, farewell.

So enraged is Urg in the heat of battle, all else seems to disappear from his senses. Yeah, yeah, that's it. Not that I'm actually raging. I'll just attack Z4.

Urg attacks the same zombie.

That's what I would have done BEFORE Bubluka's Charm Person spell. The results of that attack would influence my choice of action AFTER the spell. After the hand delivered its attack it returned to Filge, so to attack it you would need to cross the room. I didn't know that. OK, Urg takes the stairs to reach Z2. If he can reach that zombie and still have time to attack it, use my attack roll and damage roll above (results 16 and 13, respectively.)

Urg attacks the ghostly hand.

He's followed by a disembodied hand? He wouldn't be singing the theme to The Addams Family, would he?

Despite Valgrim's instructions, Urg refuses to believe that anything could withstand his new axe.
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
"I'm ready for anything," Urg boasts, forgetting the swarm. "Check out this weapon." He swings his new axe carelessly. "Just tell me who to fight."
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
"I'm not in the market for magic items... at least, none that I could afford yet. But is there a good place where I could trade in my studded leather armor or greataxe for masterwork ones?"
(Urg neglects to mention that the last time he tried to trade up his old armor, the prospective traders refused to accept anything that "stinks of orc.")
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Urg moves the remaining 5 feet into the corner, to give the others more room to close in. In fact, I should have done that in the first place, once I was provoking an AoO anyway.

Valgrim Twin-Axe wrote: Actually, you couldn't attack from Bubba's spot. His whip has reach, your axe does not. ;-) Okay, but I can still move to H-22 and take the AoO, right? (Unless that "W" in I-22 means something.)
Well, if I CAN get to H-22, and if I don't get grappled when I provoke the AoO, then please remember what I forgot: I get a +1 to attack and damage because of Bubba's Inspire Courage bit. So my attack roll is 24, and I do 10 points of damage.
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Well... technically, I go before Bubba does, so I could take that spot before Bubba does and let HIM take the AoO...
...but OK, I won't. I'll delay until after Bubba (since the owlbear is already wounded and it's conceivable that Bubba might finish it off. Then I'll move in and take the AoO, since I have more hit points than Bubba.
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Before Bubba's turn, and therefore before Bubba stops his speech (so that Inspire Courage still goes), Urg steps up to the owlbear.

I would want to be as close to the front rank as the others would allow.
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Urg joins Valgrim. If there's no one to hold the rope, I'll jump down the 10 feet, taking 10 to get a "roll" of 16.

Now that the swarm is (hopefully) dispersed, I will, once again, want to circle around the big bug. Hopefully, someone's in I-8, in which case I can flank from K-10. Otherwise, I'll go to K-9, or even K-8 if necessary. I'm adding the +2 to my attack.

When it rains, it pours! Soon after paizo.com got blocked at work, my home PC got infected with a virus. My wife put overtime into getting this machine to work... but IE no longer gets any site at all, and Firefox crashes every now and then.
I'm posting this now message now, before doing my "main" posting, in case I'm stopped from posting any more...

I was wrong. The one proxy site I found worked for a few minutes, but then it went cuckoo, and then it stopped working altogether. I found a couple of other proxy sites which let me VIEW paizo.com, but not POST to it. Now I'm stuck for ideas.
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Okay, I found a few ways around it... although the only proxy site I found that lets me post has so many annoying pop-up ads. Still, it works. At least, until they change the filtering software at work again.
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Okay, Do those 12 gray squares represent the stone slabs? Or something else to indicate that we can't enter those squares? If so, this battle will be crowded. In that case, I will want to go around the beetle, gambling that it is truly flat-footed... that is, that it doesn't have the Combat Reflexes feat, or anything like that which would allow it to make AoOs. So I will travel around the beetle, 30 feet, to L-10. Then I'll wait for another PC to enter J-10 before I attack, so I can get a flanking bonus. I will account for both flanking bonus and fatigue penalty when I roll, and remember that the beetle will lose its Dex bonus to its AC.

Bad news. My place at work seems to have put a web blocker in place today which doesn't let me get to paizo.com. This morning, I could get in. During lunch, I couldn't. I can try some ways around it, which might work. It's also possible that my work will change its web blocking software. (It does so from time to time.) But it's also possible that I won't be able to post except from home, which I can't do very often.

Ugh. When I said that insects love me, I didn't mean for the GM to take me at my word. If I had known that was going to happen, I would have steered clear of all the rest of the party. Sorry about that, Vug.

I take it that the "M" indicates the eyeball spider. Could I move as follows: L-10, M-9, N-9, O-10? Will the shape of the wall allow me to do that? Because then I could flank the spider with Chisora without provoking an AoO (assuming that the spider has no more than a five-foot reach.) I guess I'll be provoking an AoO from the swarm, anyway, but ah well.
If I CAN'T move along the wall that way, and if my diagonal movement doesn't provoke an AoO, then I'll just end up at N-10. That would still allow Chisora to take a five-foot step to N-12 to flank with me, if she chooses. Anyway, here's my attack on the spider.
Attack = 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
(Note: If I do get a flanking bonus, add another 2 to my attack roll above.)

Whoa. I just got here to find that something strange is developing. We found chainmail, wands and glasses that are magical, and statuettes which aren't magical, but are probably valuable... yet no one showed any interest. Why did no one take them?

Urg clutches his axe, knowing that it will do no good. Nevertheless, he stands his ground, next to Vug. "If nothing else, maybe I can draw the insects to me, keeping them away from the rest of you. Insects are quite fond of biting me, you know."

Too late, of course.

Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Urg approaches the stone block, to get a better look.
Is there room for a person to squeeze between the block and the hallway? Or if a person were to climb over the block, would there be room between the top of the block and the ceiling?
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
I'm not sure if I'm picturing what's going on accurately. In fact, I'm probably not. But I gather that the elevator is gone. Maybe turning the sarcophagus lid again will bring it back?

Urg helps Chisora and Vug to drag Bubluka.
And if this doesn't help us move any faster than one of us dragging Bubluka alone, then I should be the one to drag him, because I'm the fastest. In any case, I should be the last to go down, since I'm the one most likely to survive the stone mouth's "attack."

Although Urg (just) manages to break the force he feels trying to hold him, he can't leave Bubluka to the mercy of whatever would happen next. He shouts to be heard over the wind. "Chisora! Can you disable that thing?"
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)
Urg takes the lead (except, of course, for Chirosa, who's scouting ahead.)
Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2 (2462 XP, 2 hero points)

"I'm not bad at climbing. Give me the rope and hook."
That is, I have Climb at +7. Chirosa, could I borrow the rope and hook? Black Tom, can I take 10 for this?
