I just got the pdf of the Advanced Player's Guide in my downloads, and I suspect that several of you will get it soon if not already. That means that I expect you to update Vug Vang and Chisora as needed (at your leisure - hope you enjoyed your vacations).
Concerning you all: I don't want to deny you the fun of all the new options, so I will give you the opportunity to retcon your characters as needed. All I ask is that you keep the general flavor of the character - I think you know what I mean. Also I haven't had time to check everything (but what I have seen looks balanced), so I reserve the right to veto any changes. That said, you may swap feats or class abilities if you feel that it fits your character.
Preferably we'll implement the changes next time you level up (or just anytime when you're resting). I want to do everybody at the same time, so if you're not making any retroactive changes, please let me know.

OK I am back, but no Internets was very painful, so even though I'm back I may still not be too talkative since I have to catch up on a huge amount of crap (PbPs, FB, e-mails, etc...). Oh and I also have to spend the next 2 days re-formatting my computer and getting it back up to scratch, so that's gonna put me out of the loop again as well.
I should have Internet again by tomorrow night (my Monday, USA Sunday night) so I can at least check in, but I have a lot of work to cram into the next two days, so sorry if I am a bit splotchy on contact 'til midweek. :)

Ok, I'm thinking the Pearl of Power should go to Friar or Bubba and the Amulet of Natural Armor to Urg. What do you guys think?
I'm happy with that. I'd be leaning towards the Pearl going to Friar Feres, but I know Bubba will have less Spells available (I'm playing a Bard in another PbP and it's hard, I know) so I'm fine with him taking it as well. :)

Bubba can't use the pearl, only Friar Feres can (prepared casters only). Otherwise, I made the same suggestion in the other thread. D'oh!
Thanks for doing the accounting!

Urg Legbreaker |

I am very sad to have to post this.
Some of you may have noticed that I have been posting progressively less frequently during the past month or two, and not paying strict attention to others' posts when I do. During that time, a slew of factors have been turning up in my life, conspiring to prevent me from logging onto paizo.com, or spending much time on it when I do. Therefore, I have decided to quit all PBPs in which I've been participating. Please believe me when I say that I'm not happy about this, and that I haven't made this decision on a whim.
Perhaps someone else can play my character until he can be neatly written out. Handle it however you like. I hope that the rest of you have a fun game. Maybe one day, my life will get back to normal and I'll check in to see how you're all doing in the game.
Until then, farewell.

Actually I was going to pose the question to you all as soon as we finish the Whispering Cairn (which will be very soon). Do you want to continue with six characters or will you rather stick with five (supposing you all want to continue playing)?
I haven't really done much to scale the adventure, so you have had a rather easy time of it on the whole. On the other hand, that has helped keeping up the pace. Harrowing and difficult battles are fun, but they tend to drag out in PBP and if you get knocked out early you could easily be stuck just waiting for a week or more.
My thoughts as we proceed is that I'll let the xp curve even things out rather than make massive changes. I think that if you are a level lower than the expected range, it will balance out.
I have had some sick leave and vacation lately so I have been able to post a lot. I can't promise that in the future, but I'll do my best to keep the pace up. I hope that those of you that aren't as frequent posters don't feel left by the wayside.
So I'll throw the question out there: would you like a replacement for Urg or just go on with five characters? Either is fine with me.

Black Tom |

A tank huh, I think I can handle that. Maybe a Cavalier, or War Cleric
It's a bit embarrassing to ask you to play a tank in both games, but that's how it goes when you lose players. I don't want to restrict you even more, but I'm a bit curious about how the Cavalier works in play. This adventure path is a bit more accommodating to a mount than most (even if there is a fair amount of dungeon crawling), so that could work.
In the end it is entirely up to you, but I thought I'd let you know what I'm thinking. Also it would be great if you could come up with a name and a rough concept ASAP, so I can start working you into the campaign.

Rhiannon d'Deneith |

I'm thinking Cavalier. I had a character that was a noble who shunned the fancy lifee to join the military. She was in an Eberron game so I'll have to make some changes and level her up to 2 but could definitely work.
What we did in that game was swap animal companion for the horse since it was set on an airship but I can make a more traditional retool and update to the final APG version as well as ditch the Eberron feats. Should be done in another day or so.
This is what the Char looked like in that game. Haven't made any changes yet.

Sweet. I've been thinking and I will have to modify my statement that Age of Worms is accommodating to mounts somewhat. Still, I'm not prepared to swap it out, I'm afraid. I hope the class is balanced even if you'll have to leave your mount for some periods of the game.
Anyway, Rhiannon looks great, and it's not too much of a stress to imagine that she may be a friend of one or another of the party, Valgrim or Chisora perhaps being the most likely candidates.
You'll be starting with 2 hero points.

Friar Feres |

I also think that Friar Feres sheould get the Headband of inspired Wisdom (if he wants it) as other than Chisora (who doesn't really need it) he's the one who'll benefit from it the most.
I'd be happy to take the Headband if no one else needs it, although I feel a bit guilty having the Pearl of Power and the Headband. As compensation I'd be happy to use my monetary treasure to buy a Wand of Cure Light Wounds for party use.

HP roll1d10
How'm I looking so far? Need to work on background and tweaking
Some tweaking left to do, I guess, but I like the character concept. I'll say that you and Chisora are old friends from Warwick and that you are either down on your luck or decided to seek out Chisora (the latter might make more sense). There aren't many reasons to travel to Wolfstone.
I'll get the ball rolling, since the first encounters will be RP (unless you do something stupid). Feel free to jump in at any time with an IC post.

Black Tom |

Yes, I'm thinking that she and Chisora know each other and maybe even have fought together. I'm counting on there being a bond of trust between the two women, leaving to Mark and Flash to work out the details.
Chisora would also be the reason for Rhiannon to come to Wolfstone, since nobody in their right mind would want to go there (unless looking for a quick profit from the mines).

Sounds good to me. I still haven't put up a background for Chisora yet (I have the idea, but don't know enough about the setting for a detailed description), so I'll get one done in the next day or so and incorporate Rhiannon into it.
It's actually not a bad idea associating Mark and I as we play well together and in three PbPs I'm currently in/have been in with him our characters have always gravitated towards each other and/or started play knowing each other.

Black Tom |

flash (and the rest of you): I would be happy to provide some more background, but it will have to be in question and answer-format. If you like, you could pick up the Player's Guide to the Wilderlands for general information about the setting (although I tweaked it some, for instance using the Golarion pantheon).
