Tybalt has been keeping up with his warlock caloric intake needs for long enough not to have issues eating at this pace, so he's good, if sometimes getting a little ahead of himself in speaking before swallowing. "I think I might know about something you'll like." He bites his lower lip a bit as he looks over his notes.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat pats that wing as he clears out a bowl of jerk chicken and white rice in what has to be be record time. He speaks through what's left of it as he glances at his notebook once more.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat ruffles the feathers on Dave's wing that he can reach good naturedly.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat sticks his tongue out as he shows you his note pad looking profoundly blank, despite being the same page he was writing on. There aren't even any depressions on the page to indicate he was just using invisible ink. "Magic Secret Pen, Birthday Boy. Only readable by the person that wrote it. I invented this one."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Tybalt nods and takes a second from destroying his meal to write that down on a notepad, crossing some things out and circling others with a fancy silver pen.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
David.De'Foul wrote: Dave nods and swallows a couple fish whole "if you're close enough yeah..... I can probably tell you're there even if you're farther away but I can only see through your invisibility outright if you're within a little over thirty, maybe thirty five meters" The cat gives a mischievous Cheshire-smile. "Noted." He thinks about something. "Oh, one last question about your party. I know it's a Sim room party, but did you want it simulated inside or outside? I have a couple ideas for both."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat of course has to ice-ray down everything that's served hot before starting to demolish his small buffet. "Not fair. You see everything. You can even see me when I'm invisible, right?"
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat pulls one of few traditionally Male moves he ever makes by using the three trays to collect all of the things he wants, a mix of Oriental, Carribean, and Italian food, and taking it all in one trip, a tray on each paw and one balanced on his head. >_>
After Dave draws the sardine cans to his attention, Tybalt street-magicians a few of the cans into his endless pockets for later.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat gets to the line and pats his belly, considering something for a moment before picking up three trays and guiding them along the line. "It's not always coins though. Coins happen, but experiencing a place is a treasure on its own. Especially here. Every hallway here gets switched and moved around, so you never know what might happen or what you might find."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat flips the coin through the air to Dave. "Hey, not everyone is made of money."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
"Well, ya, but it's right here. I can teleport almost anywhere, but I still walk places. Sometimes there's things to miss." He picks up a loose copper piece from a corner of the hallway.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat blushes slightly at more or less being pet. He huffs and pads back at him, not quite able to get actually mad at him. "Daaave stahp." He tries to groom his hair back into place, but is unable to get it straight again.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat twirls his crook around his fingers at about the size of a pencil or a candy cane. He waves his free paw at his sewing supplies, but his stomach growls angrily in response as the magic around his palm swirls up to a circle. He waves it out like a match.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
He takes a glance at some of the fabric he has before his stomach growls noisily "Mkay. I'll make a new one and leave it here before the party. I should probably get a big lunch, I'm gonna be using a lot of magic in a bit."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
So has anyone ever watched Kill La Kill? That's kind of the idea I'm going for, minus certain spoiler things.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat writes down a reminder on a note sized paper and pins it above his desk to make sure he comes back to it. "I'm not really sure about what all I'm gonna need to do it, really. I'm not sure if anything specifically like this has been tried before." He catches the yarn ball with a bit of magic and guides it back to the basket with a finger. "Maybe you could help me look into it, but anyways, you want a new outfit for tonight or no? I'm probably gonna do one one for myself."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
"I know, right? Sweating is gross." He chuckles and bounces a ball of yarn off of Dave's chest. "I was just thinking, what if I enchanted a set of clothing that works sort of like one of those brooches that turns into a set of plate armor. But instead of just becoming armor, it helps you move faster and stronger? Like, street clothes, but if something happens it can turn into armor that boosts you up."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
"No, I'm just saying I wanna make this special for you. If I wanted to say you stink, I would've just told you to take a shower while I wash those." He sticks his tongue out as he gives up on his closet, going to check his fabrics again, which in a sense is just an unassembled closet. "I know most guys don't really care as much about clothes as I do, but I think having a good outfit for something makes you feel... Powerful I guess? Confident? Actually... That might be something to try some time..."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
"We'll figure something out, no matter what it is." He looks skeptically at his wardrobe, moving hangars with a soft magic glow around his paw, moving to the next with a swipe of his hand. Dave could swear that he'd only had a couple shirts when he got here, but the closet has been becoming slightly more full every day. "Well, I need to start getting ready for the party soon, but we can get lunch first if you want. Do you want something else to wear to the party? That's kinda what I made what you have right now for, but after spending the day in, it kinda feels like I should've made something else for the actual party."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Thanks guys. I haven't been able to look at this page without going to look at it again, so I'm definitely happy you guys like it too. ^_^ As far as the jewelry goes, I tried to go with the more essential ones, and things I had mentioned specifically. Didnt want to make it too terribly distracting and/or too much like Mr. T. His portal ring is the one with the small chest on his right hand.
I may go back later and add more stuff because I just realized he's missing the mark from Dave on his right hand.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
So, after four and a half years, I've finally done a proper picture of Tybs. Hope you guys like it, and that he's not too far off from how you imagined. I'm not a great artist, but I'm very happy with the results.

He accepts the hug and rubs the cat's back affectionately "thanks man. With my recent power up" he taps the golden circlet around his head "I feel like I probably have a 50/50 shot against him myself.... assuming I could find him...." The cat gives an appropriately long hug before giving a soft squeeze and looking up at the Aasimar. "I'd really like to up those odds a bit with some help and equipment first. But when the time comes, I'm sure someone here can help us find him." The cat pads over to his stock of fabrics on his work desk, flipping through some as he wonders what he's going to wear to the party tonight, taking mental stock of all the things he needed to get done."I'm sure someone here specializes in divination. At the very least I can make a Crystal ball."

David.De'Foul wrote: Dave snickers in amusement at his best friend's antics "just thought I might offer advice.... I don't exactly have anyone to reunite with.... sorry if my advice isn't exactly helpful" The cat guy drops a little bit of his generally jovial expression at that admission. "Oh... I'm sorry Shiny. I guess I'm kinda taking what I have for granted..."He hugs Dave forward a moment. "I promise we'll find that guy you're looking for. I'll do everything I can to help."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
"I dunno. Maybe. I think I'd want to go back in person first. But stuff is kinda complicated with me and my family. Anyways, we can talk more about that later." They finally arrive at their room, and Tybalt snaps the door open with a blue spark, pacing in and starting to look for a place to put the clock, settling for a shelf above his desk. Being the short kitty he is, he hops onto his desk to put it up there safely, checking his watch and setting it before he hops back down.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Tybalt shifts the clock over and scratches behind his ear a bit. He could probably do it with his foot like a cat, but they're walking right now, and he'd have to stop to do so.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat guy goes just a little bit wider eyed when Dave puts his arm over his shoulders. Although he has the clock in his arms so he can't hug back or take many other actions, Dave feels a small vibration in his arm that Tybalt may or may not be aware he's actually doing. "Thanks Shiny. I'm not really sure what would happen if I went home right now. I kinda left on the day I was supposed to take over. And even now that I can go anywhere, I'm still scared to go back home. So much has probably changed since I left."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
David.De'Foul wrote: Dave ruffles his head "clearly you aren't good enough at delegating" The cat smiles, even blushes and looks away as his spiky, highlighted hair is ruffled up. "Eh, it's just not how they do things back home. The chief tells people what they need to do, and they do it. It's a big job, and I... I didn't think I could do it..."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
The cat laughs and shifts his grip on the clock, making sure it was safe the last leg of its journey. "Ok, but let's keep it on uninhabited planets. I know what running one island is like. I don't want to lose all the time we could spend doing stuff to you trying to run a planet." He sticks his tongue out, cute and blue, but Dave can tell he did actually mean what he said, even if it was joking.

David.De'Foul wrote: Dave nods and thinks on this before chuckling "I heard a philosopher once who said the best way to describe them was that many otherwise similar races, when they looked at the infinite cosmos they are struck by their insignificance in the grand scheme of things and were humbled..... humans reach out their hands and shout "mine"" Tybalt giggles a bit as they arrive back at the door to the school, shifting his knee under the clock for a second so he can snap and gesture the door open with a cantrip. "I can't help but understand where they come from, at least. I may like to collect things, but conquering planets is a bit outside my level of collecting. I'm more up for experiencing everything I can that's out there while I can. Souvenirs are extra." He smiles and nudges Dave, joking. With Dave presumably conjuring the arrows to their room given Tybalt's full paws, they walk through the school, back in the solid walls of their current home, as it were.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Tybalt nods and offers his paw, ready to step back through the stars to the school.

David.De'Foul wrote: "I meant the wishing custom... but thanks I guess" Tybalt nods as they stand at the fountain, listening to the water fall tranquily from the celestial band. "Humans wish on lots of things. Fountains, Wells, stars, eyelashes, turkey bones. You'd think they'd have figured out what works and what doesn't by now."

"Electric pumps move water from the base of the fountain back up to the top so it fills up the bowl and falls back down. The coins are just a social thing that seems to have developed in a lot of human culture. Or maybe it's just one of those things that repeats in a lot of places because whatever made the universe felt like it. Like common as a language, 12 month years on a planet, time systems based on equally long seconds-minutes-hours-days-weeks-months-years, and humans in general. Those guys are everywhere."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
"Nothing in particular. It's not a capital W wish, it's just a wish. It coming true isn't directly linked to doing this, it's more of an "I'm doing this because it might come true" sort of thing." He thinks for a moment, closing his eyes and flipping the coin into the fountain. 1d20 ⇒ 19 It lands in the upper bowl of the fountain, resting on top of one of the Angel's drums.

David.De'Foul wrote: Dave nods and listens intently "what are the coins for?" "It's a fountain, you make a wish. Haven't you done that before?"

The cat nods as he steps lightly across the smooth cobblestones, bare paws leaving behind frosty prints of his toe beans on the stones that melt a moment after. "Yeah, their scales are yellow like the sand on the beach, but just a little clear like a bunch of cut gems overlayed. They're really beautiful. At least the one I saw once was. They don't leave the city often, but one came to talk to my dad once." They stroll up to a small fountain in the center of a little plaza. A small troop of marble angels playing instruments with water pouring gently from the openings of their horns, bells, etc and into the small bowl the rest on, and from there to the larger fountain.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Tybalt looks down at the clock and rubs his thumb over the edge. "These are the Ancestors of the islands on the planet I'm from. And they're in this order because we believe that when we live a good life we move on to the next step when we pass from that life, but if you don't you're either born again on the same island or even further back in the cycle. But when you've lived through every step, you're born a final time as one of these dragons in the City Under the Sea." The two of them walk more or less amelessly down the picturesque little street as they talk.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Tybalt gives one last wave to his old Craftsman master as they depart the store. "I think we've done everything I set out to do this morning. Anything else and we'll start ruining surprises." He smiles up at the Aasimar as he holds the clock safely with both hands. The clock itself is fairly basic, but the face is where it becomes ornate. Instead of numbers, each of the twelve spaces is occupied by a small animal. 12 is a cat followed by bear, lizard, cow, dog, bird, snake, rodent, pig, Kangaroo, Ram, and Horse being 11. The hour hand is a small dragon holding a small piece of rainbow colored glass as the tip and the hour hand is a larger aquatic dragon with a small topaz set in the chest.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
While Dave is taking a moment to gather the coins, the clock smith takes something out from behind the counter. "As for you, Furball, I've got something I've wanted to give you for a while..." When Dave returns, Tybalt is holding an understatedly ornate clock and looking deep in thought. Lenny is smiling at him the sort of fatherly way he looked at him before. "-n't have the heart to sell it, and I figured you'd appreciate it more than any antique hoarding old woman." He looks back up to Dave as he reappears and accepts the coins, hanging the bag on a scale before giving a handful back to Dave. "Just over. There's your change." He smiles widely under his greyed mustache. "Well, it's been a pleasure working with you two. You're welcome back at my place any time you like if you need a quiet place to work." He shakes Dave's hand once again before air hugging the somewhat emotional Tybalt. "Good to see you, Furball."

"You know I am." He chuckles and nudges him slightly as he steps back to let him talk with the shop keep. "Of course. We've been on the gold standard as long as civilization has existed. As an artisan and magical craftsman, I do take equivalency appraised gems. You boys come on up to the front, and I'll ring you up."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Tybalt smiles and checks Dave's wrist out a bit. "It looks good on you. Happy birthday, Shiny." As Dave turns to talk to the shop keep, Tybalt starts to walk the circle, bending to gather the unexpended parts of the ceremony, crystals, the wand, etc, as well as Dave's robe that he picks up and pats to make sure there's no dust on it. "It was a pleasure, Son. Happy to have been able to help you boys out." He smiles warmly and shakes Dave's hand. "And Happy Birthday! Always a good time. And with that in mind, I'll give you the watch at building cost." He smiles wryly and chuckles. "Still gotta run a business, of course."

He watches in mild awe at the power and finess displayed by his friend. When the ritual dies down he whistles a low note "is it done?" The cat touches the watch quickly to see if it was hot from the ritual, and finding it a touchable temperature, hands it to Dave after a quick magical analysis of his own, making sure everything has gone right. "Yep. Looks like we're all set."He smiles as he hands it over to Dave, purring a little bit as he can't help but be proud at having completed it all.

Tybalt smiles back softly and takes a deep breath, picking something that resembles a long tuning fork in his left hand as he holds the book in the crook of his right.
His former master smiles and applauds softly.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Once everything is settled, he follows a line (normal invisible, but seen under magical analysis) through the robe with one hand, typing things into the machine with the other. He double checks his work and hits a submit button. The whole box glows with runes as gears start to turn, lowering two nozzles that project a magical beam over the illusion of the watch, first filling in the skeleton in regular mythrill, adding the runes to the inside of the brace. Then they tint it black and add the scale pattern and three buttons with pictographic labels in red. When the whole ordeal is done, the product gets lowered to the bed of the box and Lenny picks it up in a gloves hand, inspecting the handiwork of his machine.
He looks up to Tybalt. "How's the ritual comin', fuzzball?" Tybalt is bent over on the floor carefully arranging a few last hunks of crystal for the material cost of the ritual. "Juuuust aboooout... Done." He stands and snaps his finger causing all the candles to light in a sparkly blue-purple flame that's about as far from looking like fire as fire can be. He still, however, inches away from them slightly.
"Good, good. I'd forgotten how handy having an apprentice around was." He chuckles and elbows Dave a little. The weathered artisan steps into the circle, placing the watch in one of the inner circles and the robe, neatly folded in another.
Tybalt pads at his pockets and produces a small book that he unfolds several times into a larger one, about the size of an antique Bible.

The clocksmith nods and pulls out a remote, pushing a button that lowers blinds over the window and flips an antiquated looking "Out to Lunch" sign over the door. "My workshop is in the back anyways. Follow me."Tybalt smiles and heads to the back, knowing the way as if he was at his own home. When Dave removes the robe, Lenny takes it carefully and nods, now understanding the hesitation. "Ah, I can see why you'd want to stay out of the public eye, son. But, not to worry. We'll have this done in a jif."
Tybalt who had been trying and failing to suppress a smile at seeing Dave back in his regular form blinks his eyes, now glowing blue in magical analysis. He paces over to the work bench, partly thankful and partly disappointed to have a distraction. He searches the garment and points to a place on it near the upper middle.
Lenny waves Dave over as he sets the watch down inside an open sided box of gears and runes carved in brass with an operations panel on the front.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Lenny raises an eyebrow at that. "Not as effectively. And you'll need to remove it for the transfer ritual. Unless you wanna risk yer soul being trapped in a watch, that is. If the rest of your clothes are an illusion off it, I got a bathrobe in the back somewhere." Tybalt sets his hand on Dave's shoulder. "Hey Shiny, it's ok. I promise you're safe here."
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
"Well, they're clocks, not armor. The important part is how well the case would protect it. With small parts like these, all of 'em would take a hit about the same. I recommend you pick which one looks the best to you." He sets the SerpentStone one on the case and puts the rest back into the rotating display, unless Dave stops him. "You kids all love the light up stuff these days, eh?" Tybalt has been checking out the other clockworks, poking a golem which mechanically looks at him and side steps an inch away, it's arms staying in the same position, polishing a clock. The cat shrugs and looks back to see if Dave has picked a face.

He opens the cabinet and takes out a row of watch faces already ticking in time."These are a specialty of mine. The same type of enchantment Tybalt has, immediately syncing to local planetary time and calendar the moment you set foot on it. Go ahead and pick out one you like." The set contains five watch faces, one with reddish copper, one gold, one silver, one black, and one made of ironwood, presumably for Druid use. Tybalt looks over Dave's shoulder at the set of them, none quite like the one he has made of softly colored purple metal.

"Dude, we've been totally winging this stuff all morning. You should see what I do when I actually make plans." Inside the shop is something of a steam punk paradise, the kind of stuff the late French aristocracy would've dreamed of, a complete blend of clockworks and magic use. Everything is timed so that every second there's one single tick at once instead of a cacauphany of varying times. Small brass golems polish clear glass panes over rune laden clock faces, and every display case is lined in shining watches, figurines of wondrous power, brand new Traveler's Any-Tools, and elegant bracers of armor that could be worn without questioned motivation at any of the highest holiday gatherings in any culture. All of these slowly rotating on elegant u clockwork displays, each getting the exact same amount of view before being hidden by the next wonder. The whole place smells of fresh copper and brass with the faint compound of vanillin wafting from the gently aging pages of ancient enchantment books along a back wall behind the displays. With all these things, there's a distinct lack of any kind of weaponry.
