"What happened to trying to lure the demon into the cages?" Trifle hisses. "You young Pathfinders, always changing your minds..."

Trifle will not move, but instead cast a spell.

GM:

She'll stay put for the moment.

Sorry about that, Andrew. It's a little challenging on phones, which can't interact with the map (or often access the map at all) I'll notify Ivy that it's her turn.

Round V

Trifle moves so that she can see the spider and then casts a spell. A globule of acid hurls itself at the spider.

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

rounds are getting confusing at this point. Am I posting on Round V? I think I am. If so...

"...damn this running away," Trifle growls, and runs towards the spiders again. "Take this!"

Trifle swings at the southern spider with her sword.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Trifle runs another 60 yards, skirting around corners and nearly slipping as she runs up the stairs. She doesn't bother to keep an eye on Teenoch - she's confused by that whole concept and is more interested in getting the hell out of there for the sake of her squishy party members.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle will retreat as a double move, ignoring any attacks from the spiders.

Trifle storms forward ( double move ) with her sword brandished before her.

"Direct your arrows at me, you bastard!"

This kind of strategy has always worked well for Trifle before....

Paul will draw her glaive and brandish it at the manticore.

"A large flying creature - my favorite." Paul's voice sounds a little more steady than any have heard it before. "I'm glad I have a polearm for moments like this!"

Paul, too, will ready an action to attack once the manticore is in range.

Liberty's Edge

The flickering ball of flame splashes into the furthest guard's face. Fire damage: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1) = 7

Trifle also summons a look of concentration as a bright lights flashes in front of the closest guard's face.

"The pregnant goddess is Lamashtu, a major deity, also known as the Mother of Beasts. The two battling demon lords are Areshkagal and her half-sister Aldinach. Both are the progeny of Lamashtu."

Trifle spits at it instead.

Trifle darts forward and dashes around corners and statues to run to the one that is very much moving. She almost falls as she passes one of the faceless women, but grabs hold of the sickle to steady herself.

Trifle's face tightens with a look of concentration as she holds up her free hand, which glows for a moment. With the other hand, she takes a ferocious swing at the statue.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle hops over Khakil's body (the question of why, precisely, the bard is on the floor briefly registers before she refocuses on the two Aspises flanking the odd little raptor) and darts forward into the room.

"Sorry, friend!" she shouts, before a burst of brilliant color flies from her outstretched hand toward the Aspis scum and the raptor.

Color Burst:

A vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from your hand, causing creatures to become stunned, perhaps also blinded, and possibly knocking them unconscious.

Each creature within the cone is affected according to its Hit Dice.

2 HD or less
The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)

3 or 4 HD
The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.

5 or more HD
The creature is stunned for 1 round.

"Actually, there are many individuals and groups that have been preserved - well, trapped, really - in the tapestry for centuries. Didn't you all meet that funny tribe of Korada-worshippers in the temple? They weren't Aspis or Pathfinders, they were just unlucky as hell. We could pretend to be mercenaries who'd been stuck here for hundreds of years and want to sign up to defend their sphinx! It would make for some fun lies, at any rate."

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

"Is anyone especially good at lying? I mean, as long as we don't openly look like Pathfinders we might be able to at least get in the door before they notice."

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle furrows her brow as she looks at the running druid. "Hey, Cott!" she calls, "Get back here. It's best to walk in with a PLAN!"

Trifle mutters under her breath about amateur pathfinders stumbling into Aspis nests.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle frowns at Cott, who somehow manages to be louder while rummaging around under the palm tree than his raptor does. She ducks behind the tree as well.

Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Trifle will draw her sword and wait.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

A tall and stately tiefling with short horns hidden in her long black hair wanders into the room, hand on the pommel of her longsword.

"Sorry I'm late," she says, "There I was giving good work for mediocre pay when the owner of the ship decided to sail off with the ship half-done and all us builders on board! He thought he could get away with stealing our labor before shoving us off into the sea. Well...we took care of that!"

The woman's grip on her pommel tightens as she runs her tongue over her fangs.

"Anyway, I'm Trifle, we're all Pathfinders, and the master of swords wants us to go on some hare-brained adventure into the tapestry, kill all the Aspis scum, and activate some portal but don't go in. Did I get that right? It seems straightforward enough. Let's go already!"

I'll update Trifle's page later, but she's now fifth level. Good for killing Aspis scum.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Hurrah!

Trifle will spend a day contracting out on a mighty ship being built in the nearest port. For some reason, the men always look at her curves and try to hand her a needle and thread so she can work the sails, but she prefers working with wood and pitch.

Craft (shipbuilding): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

Seemingly, Trifle is still drunk from the revelries after surviving Thurl's lair, and she doesn't do a good job.

Trifle pats Valais on the back a little uncomfortably, not truly one for sentiment. "If they can take a half-fiend midwife with a sword, they can handle any patchwork creature."

Trifle will also take ten to aid.

"Besides," she says, "The fact that you are here, having stood with us against that evil, sets you apart from the sheer biology that led others who were perverted in the same way to attack us. You are not just your pieceparts, and we will speak for that."

Roud IX

Trifle runs at the same wall, attempting to crash through it.

Trifle stares hard at the wall in front of her, through which the Minotaur disappeared.

Intelligence: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Oh man. Trifle is very confused. She scratches her head for a moment, then frowns and attempts to send the flaming sphere 20 feet through the wall.

intelligence: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 4 = 11

Trifle curses as the fireball bounces off the wall.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle startles at the sight of the glowing blue minotaur. She was not hoping to run into it quite this soon. She murmurs, "Flaming Sphere," and a small ball of fire appears atop the creature's crotch.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle jumps when she sees the hammer hit T'Orca. She wonders if it's a trap, or if the minotaur is invisible...that wouldn't make sense though, why would a big half-bull creature be invisible? Who would inflict that upon the world? And how the hell were they going to get out of this maze?

Trifle never really was good at puzzles as a child, and wishes her architect friend Paul were here.

Trifle clings tightly to her longsword and hustles around a corner, only to find...another corner, which she hustles around as well. She is very confused.

This is awesome.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle hustles through the hallways, bouncing off the walls as she runs. She darts past T'Orca into the room in question, head bouncing around as she takes in the scene around her. Trifle is not a fan of fighting these stitchling creatures - they seem to have all kinds of abilities that they shouldn't...

Round Two

Trifle's pretty pissed off about this whole "running" thing and wants to beat the crap out of the thing she hears Druthane and Valais fighting. She is still feeling full of bull's strength, and flexes her muscles as she runs.

Nonehtless, Trifle will continue hustling the f&!$ out of there. Trifle, too, will help drag anyone who isn't running.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

"I think we should run!" Trifle shouts. "I very much think we should run!"

This isn't just cowardly sick Trifle, this is Trifle trying not to die horrendously. Trifle loves blood and gore, just less so when it is her own and her party's.

Delay my turn until at least one person agrees, and then run like hell towards Druthane.

Trifle looks forlornly at Druthane's departing figure and then squares her jaw.

"Yes, let us fight," she says, and quickly casts Bull's Strength on herself. No reason not to be prepared, especially without Druthane and Valais's help fighting whatever is about to come.

Liberty's Edge

Barring any objections, Trifle will (check for traps and then) barge through the door indicated on the map.

Trifle cannot find the door, let alone any traps. Trifle thinks she may have misplaced her eyes along the way. And her ears.

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5

Trifle takes a moment to haltingly read the message to everyone, pointing to each in turn as she reads them.

It looks like Thurl was the one who wrote in blue - who's the one in red?

"Valais - what did you just say?"

Liberty's Edge

Female Tiefling Magus / 5 HP 39/43, AC20 FF17 Tch14, F+5 R+3 W+4, Init+2, Perc+5
