"I am going for a drink and rest... I will check again in the morning before we continue on." Toriel will explain before walking away from the door.
"They don't answer and the door is locked. I've no interest in forcing the issue on my guild. We can investigate the ring further at a later date." Toriel will explain with a slight annoyance at the situation.
"Hmm...." Toriel will check if the door is locked.
"It's fine Nevuda... they are halflings... I guess you do not see any where you come from." Toriel will ponder Nevuda as they walk to the guild. "I am not sure if you should go in or not at the guild... you may be better off waiting outside... these are the same people who help regulate the use of arcane magic...."
Toriel is going to seek out a shop or mage where she can have the orc's ring identified while they are here since its the largest city they have been in since the incident.
"The villagers may take a bit of time to pack... are we going to wait and escort them?"
"If they hadn't stood up to fight the result would have been the same... not everyone has the convenience of people gifted in combat around unfortunately. If they choose to abandon their farms it is their choice... we could insist they have the power otherwise but that is at the risk of them ending up dead for staying and fighting off other predators... I would rather the knowledge they were truly saved then the thought that my encouragement may lead to their deaths honestly."
"She has been nothing but helpful since we met her, I care little about her origins at the moment." Toriel will offer the villager a reassuring smile.
"With it glowing I highly doubt it is simple decoration. May I take a look perhaps its design will offer insight on it." Toriel will offer helpfully.
"I appreciate your gift for healing though I am uninjured." Toriel says softly to Shallya before turning her attention to the villagers. "Any reason the orcs attacked and took you?"
Toriel will shake her head slightly, firing at Orc D now.
Seeing Jark focusing on the lead orc Toriel aims her next arrow at Orc C.
Toriel will fire another arrow at the same orc.
Toriel will smirk, dropping her sword and firing an arrow at Orc A.
Toriel ducks down, slowing her pace as she sneaks in to get a better view at what is going on and maybe even a good shot at one of the brutes holding the villagers captive.
Toriel will consider the torn shirt briefly before continuing on, hoping the owner did not suffer too much or is at least still alive. After a short way she will glance back to ensure she isn't going alone.
"To the north... there is blood." Toriel will draw her sword as she follows the trail with caution.
"Perhaps the same troubles we've met so far have also been trouble here... if we check the fields we may find clues on it." Toriel will respond glancing out at the fields.
"Adventuring... shouldn't you be out looking for people who are actually doing something wrong?"
"Silverfall."
"I think you fail to see what I am getting at, if someone were to illegally practicing magic I doubt they would be so law abiding as to just flat out say they were using magic. If everyone did that then your job wouldn't really be needed would it?"
"I am a member of the mages guild but I don't actively practice magic at this moment...I chose to further study it before utilizing it." Toriel will state this assertively. "Are you seeking someone specifically? Seems a strange thing to just flat out ask... considering."
Toriel will glance over to the brush, "Let her do what she is comfortable with for now... better then showing a scene of it when it crosses our path." Toriel will look towards the caravan attempting to see if there is any sign at all of what sort of caravan it is.
"I don't believe any of us would condone evil acts Jarkralzak, you've nothing to worry about. I will have to give some thought about reporting Angus to the guild... they would look down upon it if they knew I was aware of him and said nothing...." Toriel will muse, "...but up until this fight I assumed he might serve a useful purpose."
I told you from the start I was going for arcane trickster we went through ALL of that because of my trait selection and picking up knowledge arcana and spellcraft right now.
"Angus is using sorcery, its something I noticed back on the other plane but said nothing as he had been attempting to help. I never saw his spellbook which is why I figured sorcery over proper wizard schooling." Toriel will trail off, gazing at Argus intently.
Seeing the big ant Toriel will start directing her arrows at it.
Toriel will fire at another ant.
Toriel will aim her bow at AntD now.
Toriel will continue firing her bow, this time at AntC.
"Ideally get the body and tactically retreat before we are swarmed...."
Toriel is going to fire again with her bow.
Satified with her initial arrow Torial pulls another and will fire it at AntE.
"Agreed... we must save the person if they still live to be salvaged." Toriel will fire an arrow at one of the ants.
"If we kill the ants there is no promise of survival for the cubs... perhaps this is a situation best left to be." Toriel will murmur softly.
"..you huh? ...odd thing to say... are you implying you are trouble Nevuda?" There is a slight tone of curiosity in Toriel's voice as she inquires.
"Where were you travelling to before the fire back there?... Just curious." Toriel asks, giving Nevuda a sidelong glance.
Toriel will spend as much of the night keeping watch as she is able to and still get enough sleep.
"I will spend a bit of time keeping watch before I rest is there someone else who can as well? I don't wish to be caught off guard if there are any more fire elementals in the area." Toriel will state as she closes the book and puts it away.
Toriel will glance up at Nevuda, contemplating them a moment before looking back down at the book. "If that is what you like, you have proven safe enough so far."
"Those creatures were from another plane through portals possibly opened up from spells out of this book or possibly another scroll I have, I am hoping further study will give me some insight into exactly what it is while we travel to the woman who seems to know a fair bit about it as well." Toriel will frown, "These will need continued study... I wish I has access to my academy's library."
Toriel will pull the book out again to continue studying it quietly as the others talk.
"Welcome then, your help was appreciated." Toriel will turn to the couple, "Thank you for the meal."
"It was a somewhat blind action to take, especially not knowing who you were seeking... but the results turned out well...."
Toriel will let another arrow fly as she fires at the remaining Fire creature.
Toriel fire an arrow at whichever Fire creature that Jark isn't attacking.
