Happy Birthday!!!
"Really?" Torgar bellows when he hears their discussion. "Come and take it then!" he roars and charges.
Without others commenting, Torgar stalks off toward them to see who they are and what they are doing.
"Shall we get some information out of them?"
[b]"We can live off the land and we have a few trail rats. I know some wanted to get supplies at Haven but it's a burned out husk and if stop there, we'll find no end of need to deal with. This staff may have some role to play in the greater scheme of things. Let's ride this pony till it breaks and then reevaluate where we are."[b] Torgar suggests as he continues to walk away.
_”Aagghh, get your butt over here and let’s go.” Torgar says and assuming no one complains, he withdraws to head to Xak Tsaroth.
"Oh, for cryin' out loud. Really." Torgar says and observes the results of the charge.
"Let's be gone, no sense in drawing attention to ourselves." Torgar suggests.
”Well, do we go into Solace or just redirect to Xak Tsaroth? I know you want to get info but could you not use your ball to discuss pertinent information as we continue onto Xak Tsaroth. Perhaps the mystery of the staff will give us something useful in this burgeoning conflict.”
"I agree with Agghh, perhaps we can get useful information in the city and head out with purpose."
”This is a lot bigger than it first appeared. We went from smashing some goblins and ogres to see why the staff needed to go to a dead city and now we are faced with an invasion by the armies of the dragon queen. It seems insane we didn’t hear anything about the movements if armies. We need more information. We may need to capture the next one of these scaly boys we run across.”
"Excellent, I love having a good guide." Torgar says as they walk along briskly.
"Yep, let's get moving." Torgar says to Reuben's comment in the morning. The barbarian has already rolled up his bedroll and is prepared to depart. Later... "Hopefully we can keep you folks alive and destroy at least a small portion of evil in this world." Torgar says flatly.

As he eats Torgar says, Aaggh obviously feels at home and crashed. I trust our hostess but if the staff is as special as events would have it, evil may find a way to find us even here. I suggest a watch. I prefer to rise early and will take last watch. Anyone else interested in maintaining a watch?
”That is the most impressive that ng i’ve seen from the staff yet. Thank you Forest Master.” Torgar then eats his fill of the offered bounty.
"Why the royal welcome if I may ask?" Torgar presses from his earlier question.
"I would like to thank you for your hospitality Mistress of the Wood but I'm sure this is uncommon. Do you need assistance or is there some other reason you have honored us with your presence?" Torgar asks.
"Thank you, hmmm, ma'am," Torgar says before sitting at the provided table. "What news of the forest?"
"I appreciate the gesture Agghh but I think we should follow Reuben on this one. Just be ready." Torgar says as he gestures for Agghh to keep going and trudges forward himself.
"By golly, they did see a deer. Well, don't just stand there boys, follow the girl." Torgar says and then takes his own advice.
"Get a move on up there. What's the hold up." Torgar says to get the group moving. Likely saw a deer grazing and stopped to admire it.
Torgar stays near the rear of the team in order to keep an eye on all of them. He feels the need to watch over the others.
Torgar grits his teeth and with a huge intake of breath he seems to calm himself a bit, "Aug! Let them flee. We need to stick with the others." Torgar calls out after his fellow dwarf.
Torgar's dander is up and he just keeps on slashing. "You nasty, monstrous, man-killers. I won't rest until the lot of you are dead and rotting!"
Torgar strides toward the goblins. Once he gets within charge range he roars as he rages and closes the distance. As he rolls into the goblin group he lays into the closest.
Torgar sets his grim face in the direction Reuben points and begins to walk. "Let's take a walk boys. Crush em, gut em, and kill em." He says to the others as he moves out.
Torgar rolls to his feet grabbing his great sword from where it lay next to him. "I'm tired of runnin'," the rager says. "Where?" he asks Reuben.
While on watch Torgar gets distracted by a beetle with an iridescent shell and and a big horn like protrusion. He follows it about the camp and moves it with a stick thinking surely no one is going to bother them on an evening like this.
Torgar also has turned in. If an ambush, all the more opportunity to kill things that need killin'.
"We need to setup some sort of watch through the evening. There are eight of us so we could do pairs at 2 hours each. Sound good? I don't have a preference as to who is on duty with who. What about Goldmoon and Riverwind on first, Reuben and Jedijon can take last, Mariel and Orlin can be second, and me and Agghh will take third. Unless someone wants a different order, I'm crashin'." Torgar says pulling out his blanket.
After the seekers depart, Torgar settles in to east some of Aggghh's stew. "Nice catch Agghh."
It would appear the fire elemental thing never happened. I thought it was an overreaction but if he wigged out he wigged out. I think we should be held to our choices next time. Or was there a 'If this then I..." type of thing in there I didn't notice?
Torgar watches the strangers to see how they react. Normal seekers would run for their lives, he thinks. If these don't there may be a need for some steel this evening.
"Finish up your scrawlin' and move on." Torgar says positioning his blade on his shoulder and moving toward the group of seekers. "I'm in no mood to entertain, mind ya."
"I ain't offerin' so move your free loading butts on down the road." Torgar says from where he stands.
Torgar watches the group while gripping his great sword and looking none too friendly.
"Now that we have time to talk, spill the story. What is going on? I have no qualms against killing goblins, the heaven's know they deserve it, but what kind of magic is this staff and why do you think you need to take it to Xak Tsaroth?" Torgar finally asks once they stop for the evening.
"Can't you wrap it in somethin'?" Torgar asks her.
"We should probably push into the evening as long as Orlin feels comfortable with where he's going. The staff seems to be quite the draw and may motivate them to search into the evening."The more distance between us and them the better.
"Let's get some distance and then we can think about what we want to do." Torgar says. "Our immediate course is to get these two safely away and have them explain a little more about what that staff is and why it needs to go to Xak Tsaroth."
