As the disciple explodes into petals, Tomas gives a start and watches the Sifu rise and speak, at awe with his obvious power. Knowing he still had a way to go, nevertheless he was glad for the opportunity here and would reflect on his successes and his failures. Giving the Sifu a deep, traditional bow in true Tien fashion, the Warpriest then turns to his gathered companions. "Well my friends, we have succeeded our mission here, even though we were unable to best the disciple. It has been an honour to travel with you all and I shall not forget you." he pauses awkwardly as if not used to this. "But for tonight, Galmar and I owe you fine wine and plenty of it!"
"Well disciple, it would seem you tire, but I suppose your Zealotry prevents you from retiring just as mine." Tomas says in recognition of his opponent's skill. Eyeing him up for a swift defeat however, the Warpriest calls upon his divine blessings to give him greater accuracy. He also calls upon his own flexibility to try and see through the displacing effect
"Thankyou my friend! We shall share the cost of a fine nights drinking!" Coughing as Galmar's Healing Magic brings him back to consciousness, Tomas pulls himself back to his feet and shakes his head to clear the daze in his eyes. Seeing the Monk threaten Nivi, he steps opposite for Eladrian and then uses his Divine Fervour to regain more lost vitality. Prepared he strikes out at the Monk with a powerful kick.

Tomas frowns as the missed Bomb lands beneath him and he finds his body scorched by it. Momentarily lifted by the Monk's collapse into the pit, Tomas is about to breathe and heal up before the master vanishes and re-appears next to him! Swiftly tapping into his fervour once more, he gives up his energy protection to seal his wounds before striking out at the Monk.

Wheezing as his breath leaves his body from crashing into the ground, Tomas picks himself up and is about to rejoin the fray when he spies another Agent dashing across the room to touch the robe of the emissary. Taking the time to refresh his battered bodies, he rolls his shoulders as the Monks assemble and stand ready, a smile stretching across his face. "Well friends, it would seem the true challenge has begun, if it had not been enough before. Let us acquit ourselves well here!" Assuming his own fighting style, the brawler steps forwards to accept the Sifu's latest challenge.

Seeing Nivi step into the gap in the wall, Tomas feels his wounds start to close from Brother Theo's prayer and he nods to his fellow Aasimar. Calling upon his fervour, Tomas once more calls his own healing magic to bear before stepping towards Eladarian and trying to connect with the Air Elemental engulfing him with a powerful swing.

Cursing at the powerful blow from the Air Elemental, Tomas sighs as he feels Galmar's energies sealing his wounds slightly. He then calls upon his connection to the Hero God to restore more to his broken form, doing it swiftly and without feat of reprisal from the elementals.
He then picks himself up, risking the wrath of one of the elementals before stepping forwards and punching the air given form. for
Cursing the excessive use of explosives in this ancient Mausoleum, Tomas winces at the almighty noise caused by Nivi. When the Oni surrenders to the amatuerish banging he chuckles softly. "I daresay not the first Oni to be defeated by a Gong, if my people's legends are anything to go by." he sighs, rolling his shoulders with a satisfying crack. "He had tough scales though! I must train harder." Moving on, he pats the Wayang on the shoulder and turns to his group. "Well, no time to lose I eould gather, are we all refreshed?"
Tomas bows formally to the Judge, looking over the fact that he is a hated Oni for a moment to respect his position here in the tournament. Stepping into an afvantageous position opposite Eladarian he breathes deeply as he calls upon his connection with Cayden Cailean to grant his blows abit of divine strength. Tomas gives the audience a formal Tien bow and then follows it up with a shallower bow to their defeated foe. "Crawl back to you masters, know that your Assassins failed and so do you now." Spinning on his heel, Tomas reverently returns the Monkey mask to the Theatre and buckles on his breastplate, feeling much safer with it on, now that practice weapons were out. Frowning at the odd request, the Warpriest there on the black robe over his usual white gear and followed the Tengu, using his charged wand to heal the wounds suffered in the fight. Filing in with the crowd as they reach the Mausoleum, he looks around for signs of other competitors in the crowd from earlier in the tournament. Looking down at the coffin he patiently awaits the explanation from the priestess. Standing to one side of the Casket, he nods to Eladrian. "Whenever you are ready."
Easily deflecting the swung Broom, Tomas lets out a booming laugh as he dances around the White eyed crow's poor attack. "You come to me with a broom?! I am sorry for your poor luck." Deciding to tap into his deities blessings this time, the Monkey King of the Pathfinders rains down blows upon the unsuspecting Witch. If they fall, Tomas steps foreard and continues with the foe's Monkey King with another laugh. for for for for
Frowning as the wooden weapons strike him, Tomas keeps in character as he laughs aloud and taunts the creatures. Calling upon his holy master for divine strength he feels his muscles tense as he is blessed. With a whirl he leaps into combat, beginning with the General before moving on to the Rogue, he then steps out of the way.

Feeling a tad foolish, but determined to stay in the spirit of things to avoid failing the task ahead of them, Tomas throws back his head an lets out a laugh as combat is joined. Eyeing up the Half-Orc as the first threat, he uses his newly acquired fighting style to emulate the Monkey King of his Homeland Legend and rolls around the Orc, landing behind him to strike!

"You should always watch your back!" he calls out rather woodenly.
Tomas nods to the Angelkin helping them dress, it had been many years since he had worn anything close to the traditional garb of his own people and now he remembered why. "These are bulky, I shall be amazed if we can move as freely as they wish." he mutters as they gather. Giving the 'audience' a Traditional Tien bow, Tomas calls upon the luck of his patron to strike his enemies. Also, getting into character, instead of his usual solid Draconian fighting style, Tomas becomes much looser and flowing, his footing more erratic.
Tomas rouses and ensures that Nivi is well before making their way to the Opera. Standing upon the stage he listens to their next challenge with a frown, he was used to battles in an arena footing and had even been in mock combat for the enjoyment of the crowd, but never had he had to take up a role for one. "Sounds agreeable, this Monkey King seems to fit my preferred style though the lack of armour will be a strange thing indeed." he says after the explanations are complete. "We are all prepared yes?"
Returning with the Guard and his allies, the Warpriest looks at the coin found upon the Assassin's person. "Accursed snakes!" he curses at the discovery, before he can say anymore there is a noise outside and the door bursts open. Tomas starts as the Tengu burst through the door, his fists clenched and his eyes fierce. Bastard Carrion, no doubt they look for easy pickings after such a pathetic attempt at assassination. he thinks to himself sourly as he reads the Tengu's body language to gain an insight ot their purpose. "Well?" is all he says.
Tomas looks down the corridor to see one room blocked with Ice and the other with Theo in it. Shaking his head at the cleric he turns to the little White Alchemist and indicates the door behind them. "Get that door open and we will get the guards. This is in hand here." Using his Flexible training to become more nimble, he readies himself to dart out the door and call dor the guards who were quick to come in their last bar fight.
Tomas raises his Tankard in salute to the retiring Halflings, draining the last of his ale in thoughtful silence. Debating internally as to whether to have another he decides to hold off until the Tournament is over. Pushing himself from the tablr, he takes an invite for himself and another for their Wayang companion. "Well friends, Fate shines upon us even as it abandons our allies. I say we win this damned thing in honour of our fallen friends, I shall inform our sleeping comrade. I think rest is in order, our strategies seem to work fine right now." With that, the Warrior Priest takes his leave from the bar and heads to his room, taking time to wake Nivi and inform her of the current state of affairs and to give her their invitation.
Raising a tankard to the fallen allies, Tomas joins his friends with the halflings and ensures that the beer keeps flowing. He had fought alongside Valeros before and knew the man was a stout worshipper of the Drunken Hero, it was the least he could do. "At least their deaths were not in vain, our downfall came from Aspis, they struck in numbers and whilst we were busy, one of their number must have sneaked through and pilfered the Vase we sought." he takes a pause to drain more of his tankard. "What will you do now friends? Will you brave the rest of the tournament alone?"
"Gone before we could turn around?!" Tomas seethes as they find the Vase missing from its cage. Kicking the downed Aspis agents the Warrior Priest leads they way back out of the sewers and back into the arena along with the other groups around. Not in the mood to talk he makes his way to their Inn and drains a few drinks in homages to his Patron, the drunken hero. "That would spell our end my friends I wager, it was an honour nonetheless" he slurs at the bar after a few drinks.
Looking down at the little creature following his steps, Tomas shakes his head slightly, causing hos blonde hair to sway messily. "Lost? No your method would avoid that, however it could get your hand removed by a well placed trap." His tone is steady and unwavering, making it hard to work out if he is teasing or serious.
Hearing nothing, Tomas slowly stalks down the corridor, keeping his footing sure and his eyes darting along the floor and walls for signs of tampering. Satisfied, Tomas glances down the right off-shoot before continuing on to the end to make sure they are not to be ambushed. "A vase in this place, where do you think we should start friends?"
Tomas eyes the Naga as the creature backs off and admits defeat, his fist clenched in preparation of the finishing blow. Nodding slightly to the creature in acknowledgement the Brawler listens to Kiang Zhen's latest announcement in silence. During the speech, he draws forth a mahogany wand and activates the command words, sealing his wounds suffered at the Oni's hands.
When it is done Tomas turns to his allies, eyeing up the competion as they prepare to go underground and grab their ticket to the next round. "Let us waste no time here! We must get to a vase and keep it safe, I am happy to lead and can see in the darkness."
Eyeing the old man warily, Tomas wonders if this is a ruse to take the rubies before their time, however seeing that none of the other groups keep hold of their rubu, the Warpriest relents and gives over the glowing stone. Pushing into the warehouse he scans the room, keeping an eye out for those worthy souls from thw brawl and seeing many, as well as for potential Pathfinder agents hodden amongst the fighting elite. Listening to the Oni's speech with a barely concealed snarl, Tomas spins as the doors open and readies himself against the onrushing beasts."
Spending much of his night 'Worshipping' his god, Tomas enjoys the hearty meal and a good amount of ale before retiring for the night. The next day, he turns out his rubies with the rest of the group and nods triumphantly as one begins to glow, glad they had grabbed so many. "Our way in my friends, now we just wait." Hearing the knock, Tomas makes himself ready for trouble but is relieved when the emissary makes themselves known without incident. "My thanks friend, we shall be there just need to prepare." Looking to the rubies, he ponders at how best to keep them safe from would be spies whilst considering what else he may need to acquire. |
