A nondescript young man wearing slightly damp and muddy clothes sits in the corner, sharpening a longsword. He straightens up as Ollysta Zadrian enters the room, expecting a speech or a mission for someone present. Once she starts speaking, though, his eyebrow raises in disbelief. 'Really?' it seems to say. 'She came here to say that?' He snorts and returns to his task. All the connections, all the sob stories in the world are powerless against Them, he thinks. All that matters is your skill at arms or magic. He grinds stone against steel fiercely, as if trying to hone not only the sword, but himself. Neither She nor They care whether one is old or young, beautiful or ugly, and neither will I. Later, however, he awkwardly approaches Selena and passes her a note that says, "You wish peace for your dead? The clergy of Pharasma may help you."

Tod stands aghast for a moment as he sees the children sitting amongst shattered, desecrated bones. Neither Deris's ramblings nor Maximo's oath help his state of mind, but he finally pulls himself together enough to tap Werz and Smoggin on the shoulder when Deris isn't looking and gesture towards the leather sap hanging from his belt, a questioning look on his face.

Does he look undead? Taking 10 for 18 Kn (Religion) to verify there aren't any undead that resemble this. If he doesn't suddenly spring to life or unlife, Tod closes the boy's eyes, then assists Smoggin in searching the body for clues to who he was. Not certain if it should be an Aid Another or a separate Take 20, but it comes to 26 either way.
