Bart sees nothing more than what has been discovered previously, though he does notice that the handle the hand in holding appear to be a handle on some sort of hatch or plug.

Maximo strains and pulls on the handle of the plug. Suddenly there is a loud, sucking sound as the suction of the plug opening and Maximo stumbles back hatch in hand. In a matter of seconds the pool is transformed into a small, raging whirlpool with everyone struggling to stand in the whirling mass of water. Werz fails to withstand the pull and the party see him swept away, spinning down what has become a drain hole for the pool. Amazingly, some of you notice Deris throw himself into the vortex and allow himself to be washed down the hole. Moments later the pool is devoid of it's contents. Looking down the hole, the party sees a ladder going down ten feet and their companion, Werz and Deris lying at the bottom.

Llathander clampers down in the hole along with the rest of the group. He then looks at Werz, And here I thought your brethren would be used to going down in circles. He says with an awkward grin.

As the party climbs down the ladder and examine their surroundings they see that they are in a narrow, six foot wide, arched tunnel. Water seeps through the walls and puddles up on the floors. Other than the dim light coming the opening in the pool, there is no light. Looking down the hall, it is lost in the darkness.

"Why doesn't somebody else lead the way?" Bart says as he scrambles down the ladder. "I'll be right behind, keeping an eye out and watching your back. I'm still new to this Pathfinder business."

Bart will be somewhere in the middle. Slow movement so I don't want to be stuck in the back and not able to get up in the fight when I'm needed.

The party proceeds down the hallway, single file. From the light of Maximo's ioun torch, you are able to see that the hallway begins to go down a shallow set of stairs about forty feet before another corridor tees into it from the right. Scouting ahead, you see that the original hallway continues for about fifteen feet before it starts to twist down a series of stairs that ends in a tunnel collapse. Examining the hall on the left you see that it runs about thirty-five feet before ending in a heavy stone door.

Llathader opens the door with Maximo at his elbow. Looking into the room, they see that carved pillars in the corners of this chamber hold aloft a

As Maximo enters the room and begins to examine the west alcove, out of the corner of his eyes he sees movement. Shuffling toward him appears to be humanoid in shape but, this ugly creature resembles a twisted shadow puppet’s silhouette, a wild thing of flared black and brown fur whose pelt juts out from its body at freakish angles. The shambling thing's ears are large and floppy, draping shoulder-length, adding to the creature’s unnatural shape. Its eyes are too big for its head. Tremendous milk-white ovals loom on either side of the thing’s wheezy pig-like nose. Its gaping mouth is filled with bristly needle-teeth spiderwebbed in disgusting strands of yellowish saliva, all vibrating to the tune of its wheezing breath. It carries a morningstar in one hand and a shield in the other hand. It makes toward Maximo.
