I went with slow XP advancement for the scenario we just finished. It can take from 3 to 6 scenarios to go up a level (or 1 book of sanctioned AP or most sanctioned modules, though some of the larger sanctioned modules can net you 3 levels (or 4 with bonus chronicle sheets).
I decided to go slow XP for him to get more scenario play use from him (if he does not perma-die of course).

As this scenario is giving be my first chronicle sheet, my PC will be Level 1 (1/2 XP)
If it's a scenario that a level 1 PC is too low to play in, I could play using an iconic again, choosing which iconic based on party composition.
If using my level 1 PC please give me a week or two to get him completed. I am still playing catch-up on one of the PBPs I was not initially recruited for before I jump into the gameplay, and I am in the pre-gameplay phase two other PBPs I got selected for, plus another PBP gameplay that started within the past month.

Standard acton to begin the raging song, move action to draw the axe from his right hip and a 5-foot step to step into the space Cazithiel was in at the start of combat. He is planning to draw his second axe on the next turn and move to get in a position for a clear charge path at one of them (if Hakon can see them at the time, which he currently cannot due to obscuring mist.)
A skald's allies need to be able to hear the skald's raging song to be affected by it. I do not see a range limit for raging song, so do not need to measure how far allies are from Hakon on the map.

With the combined morale bonuses (for those who accept the rage bonuses) it is an effective +2 bonus for melee (str-based) attacks (as one morale bonus is directly applied to attack rolls while the other is to Strength). Sombra, did you take a 5-foot step as part of your 1st round (or 2nd round turn) to step farther away from the green scorpion? If so on Hakon's next (3rd round) turn, he will step into the space Sombra was in so he is not attacking the scorpion from around the corner.

Hakon is affected by raging song this round. Skalds do not have the restrictions regarding concentration and skill use that allies have when benefitting from Inspire Rage, so unless I state otherwise Hakon will always be affected when he is using raging song for Inspire Rage, as the only time he would not want to affect himself is when he does not want the penalty to AC.

Inspired Rage As a standard action, Hakon can give all allies who accept it a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution, a +1 morale bonus to Will saves, and a –1 penalty to AC. Allies can accept the bonuses and penalties on a round by round basis, but while accepting the song, they can’t cast spells, use abilities requiring concentration, or use Intelligence-based skills, Dexterity-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, and Ride), or Charisma-based skills (except Intimidate). Once this song is active, he doesn’t need to spend any action to maintain it but can end it at any time. He can use this ability for 11 total rounds each day, which need not be consecutive. Allies who have their own rage or bloodrage can use their own bonuses and penalties if they choose, but they can’t use any of their other abilities like rage powers or blood casting.
